Uh.....Okies this is a good topic! I personally liked Legato better in the manga. I found him more believable and phsycotic. He's just sooooo cool!
As for Legato being more sedistc than Knives.....I want to ask what's your evidence?
Knives: Cut off his brother's arm and transfered his demon arm into his brohter's mutilated arm, he organized for Legato to do those terrible things to Vash, he also starved Legato and torchered him.
Legato: Did what Knives ordered him to do. That's about it. Oh well...... he also murdered those poor guys in a car by squashing them all in volume 2 of Maximum. Hehehe. Oh well.

Legato is my favorite character in Trigun. Anime or Manga. I loved it when he killed all the bikers( in the anime)......and went on eating.......Mwhaha.

Meh, it was alright. Rather sad, though. Wondering how he will die in the manga. He kinda has to. He's not dieing anymore in the manga so far. He's actually kicking alot of a**! hehehe. GO LEGATO!
