These green hills and silver waters are my home they belong to me and to all of her sons and daughters may they be strong and forever free let us live to protect her beauty and look with pride on the golden dome they say home is where the heart is these green mountains are my home these green mountains are my home.
Sorry if this is considered spamming, it's just one of the only songs on Vermont I'd ever heard, and it was really pretty heart

We never sung that in grade school, but I lucked out and had Mary Ann Samuels as my music teacher from first thru sixth grade. Of course, I'm a bit older than all of you, so you've probably never heard of her. sweatdrop

torrinne I remember that song! Wasn't there some sort of contest involved with it? Was there? I remember the song, and even though I haven't sung it at school since like 3rd grade, I still remember the whole thing, and it still sounds really pretty when I do.
