Days have passed since you were put in this cell. You're not even sure how you got here... you just woke up one morning and found yourself here. You had been about to contact Nebula and the Protectors, since they seem to be the ones who fight against evil here in this time and place.

It's difficult to say how long you've been here. Weeks, maybe months. They feed you regularly, and if they do anything else to you, they do it in your sleep.

You've been unable to find any way out. The force field in front of you and the metal walls around you all seem unaffected by any of your powers. Guards move by regularly, but refuse to interact with you.

Finally, one day, there seems to be a disturbance. Alarms go off. All the guards leave their posts. Sounds of combat are heard.. gunshots, screaming, and other noises you can't identify. Eventually it dies down. The guards don't come back.

Suddenly, you hear several explosions. After a second or two, the lights go out. Emergency lights flicker on, but the force-field holding your cell doesn't. It seems you finally have a chance to escape.

The hallway leads off a few hundred feet in either direction, then turns. The other cells seem empty.

Around the corner, you can see what you had only heard earlier. Bodies of guards, probably dead... covered in mud. Mud along the walls, floor... not coating everything, but large splatters of it in many places.

You also notice a huge hole in the floor, about 20 feet away, and a corrisponding hole through the ceiling. Something very powerful either just came out or just came in, the hard way.

Looking down, you see what looks to have been a containment unit of some sort... a metal platform with shattered glass all around it. Whatever was in there has gotten out, and it's possible it went directly up.

Above, you see that there are at least two floors above you. One seems similar to this one, with another hole in the ceiling. The one above that has a very high ceiling with a chandelier. That's all you can see from down here.

The exit is, thankfully, rather obvious. Whatever made those holes proceeded through a window, which is smashed apart, revealing the night sky.

You see a group of young men standing together on a corner, wearing mostly black. After changing your appearance to match theirs, you approach them. One of them notices you and turns to the others.

"Hey, guys, anyone recognize him?"

The talk amongs themselves, coming to an agreement that they don't. The one who spoke addresses you.

"Hey, these are our parts. You gotta pay us if you wanna pass through.

"Aww, see, now that's too bad. If you had some cash, we mighta been able to help you out," replies the man, his sarcasm increasing with every word. "But since you don't, my boys are gonna hafta beat you around a bit. Just so you remember not to make the same mistake in the future."

Roll initiative.

At first, the thugs hesitate, fear in their eyes. Then their leader spurs them on. "He's a freaking mutie! Get 'im!"

The six of them rush forward, each attacking you with various weapons... pipes, chains, wooden boards. Three manage to hit, including the leader. Roll three damage saves.
