The US release date for the Nintendo DS Lite, a new design for the Nintendo DS, is set for June 11th, 2006. It will retail for $129.99, the same price as a regular Nintendo DS. The launch color of the Nintendo DS Lite is Polar White. The Nintendo DS Lite was released in Japan back in March 2, 2006.
Nintendo DS Lite Changes
- It's less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS and more than 20 percent lighter.
- Its two bright screens can be adjusted to four levels to adapt to different lighting conditions and to extend battery power.
- The microphone sits in the center of the unit, and the LED lights are clearly visible whether the unit is open or closed.
- The stylus is 1 centimeter longer and 1 millimeter thicker than the stylus of the original, and slides into a side storage slot.
- The Start and Select buttons were repositioned for easier access.
- A removable cover keeps the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot clear from dust and debris when it's not in use.

well generally it's the same thing so why spend money on another one(well unless you were going to give away your old one)i mean...image that first time when you saw that nds on your tv...yeah it was chunky and clusmy but it was your first... cool so guys and gals don't diss the nds for the new one...STAND YOUR GROUND AND DON'T LET NINTENDO FOLLOW THE HERD(apple)IT MAKES IT'S OWN HERD 3nodding EVEN IF IT IS WEIRD!

1. Already have a DS
2. The whole bright white thing is so obviously a rip-off of Apple it's not even funny

Angelic Light Blue Not gonna buy one. 1. Already have a DS 2. The whole bright white thing is so obviously a rip-off of Apple it's not even funny Yeeeeeeeep... Last I checked, Apple didn't have a copyright on the color white stare . It's sexy and doesn't smuge as easily, so they used it. That's like saying the PSP copied Razor phones for its color. PS- Where was the joke?

Yes, because it's so much better that the current DS is a brick, with the annoying click-in buttons stolen from the GBA SP Seriously, those two things are the only reasons of why I hate the DS when it first came out. The design seemed to have been "Let's take the style of the GBA SP, and adapt it to this dual screen handheld"

The DS lite looks cool & all but I'm sticking with my original. Now if mine winds up broken or something I'll definatly replace it with the upgraded model. 3nodding

I'm so gonna get one, even if my parents get upset over it since it'll be the last game system I'll buy until Wii.

hahahaha i own the blue nintendo ds but imma get the new nintendo ds light.....i dont kare if it ripped of apple it juts looks sexy and its way better than the original so yeah!
