do tell us all about your big day
blaugh lol thanks for reminding me! I forgot to blog the actual day!
I'm blogging in more detail but the sday went rather well. Got our hair done, went for a small lunch, got to my mom's to get ready and realized i forgot my corset (turns out i didn't really need it...i lost weight in the last 2 months I prolly could have gotten a smaller size had I known this was gonna happen...the corset does a nice job of smoothing bumps tho) so my mom raced to my house 1/2 an hour away (we had an hour to get ready) and I got as ready as I could without my dress.
we were all running pretty late but made it to the site around 4pm (1/2 hour late) which wouldn't have been bad but my flowergirls (xoe & Wyn), one of my bridesmaids (jen) and her sister (renae) (mom to the flowergirls) were an additional 40 minutes late. We waited for awhile and then were gonna start without them and my brother came running over the bridge to tell us they were there finally. (Jen is his wife) When they finally got to the site and out of the car they were walking like they had time to spare...not like they were an hour and 15 minutes late to MY wedding...so i let the Fbombs fly.
My sister finally calmed me and we got the show on the road. Luckily the wedding ceremony was BEAUTIFUL! so people didn't mind the wait. I cried the whole time. We wrote our own vows (which i wrote as I sat in the salon that morning lol)
We got tons of pics and went to the reception...got there just in time according to my schedule....kinda was disappointed we didn't get the time inbetween the ceremony and reception to kinda unwind but whatever.
Pretty uneventful until Jen came up to me asking me to apologize to her sister Renae cuz she was scared that I was gonna rip her head off and she was upset at me cuz I swore in front of her kids (5 and 3). I was pretty upset she would ask ME to apologize on MY wedding day, but I sucked it up and did for the cursing. Renae then tells me she couldn't even understand why i yelled in the first place cuz she did nothing wrong. I LOST IT! I told her she must be kidding and stormed away telling everyone to keep her away from me. They left shortly thereafter. Yes....my brother's wife left her sister in law's wedding right after the dinner.
Nothing else special about the night until 11 when I sang a couple karaoke songs (by request) without the karaoke words. (in otherwords I had the karaoke backing tracks but no monitor to see the words) everyone seemed to love it. (even got me a job out of it lol)
