I would like to make this a recipe related topic if anyone has anything to share! Thanks in advance. Quote: Here is a list of vegan friendly alcoholic beverages. If you are unsure of its veganess always call the place and ask questions. - Frey Vineyards USDA Organic, No Sulfites Added, Guaranteed acceptable to vegans! - Vegan Friendly Booze! I occasionally like to try wines. Usually I don't look to see what is put in the wine. I was shopping and I grabbed a bottle of some kind of wine, I don't remember the name, and read the label. It was flavored with leather so I put it back. Somehow that does not sound appetizing too me... Im sure if you are vegan you are aware that some beverages contain honey. Also, some of the ingredients are not always listed on the containers. Some things used are leather, fish swim bladders (for filtering), eggs, and dairy. There may be other ingredients found in alcohol but I don't know of anything else. If there is anything else you know of could you please list. The one thing that I most recently tried was Sake. That was yummy! : P

Cool, thanks. I'll have to bookmark that site. I usually don't drink alcohol seeing that I've got 3 more years to go, but it'll come in handy.

I'm not a heavy drinker, but (I'm embarassed to admit) I've been drinking occaisionally since I was 14. sweatdrop I had no idea that there was so much junk in booze!
I don't drink beer, except Keith's, and it's friendly! Yay! I don't drink wine, period, so that isn't an issue. YES! Smirnoff is friendly! *dances with joy*
I'm not vegan, but it's still nice to know what I'm ingesting. 3nodding

I'm curious about rum, actually. o.o
... I'll still probably drink it, though. During finals week, the Cap'n is a college student's best friend.

Sparks tastes like candy, so I refuse to drink it.
Most booze is vegan. Guinness contains animal fats, as do plenty of other European beers. What I really recommend is finding a local homebrew shop and making your own beer. It's super easy, and comes out to a cost of about six dollars a case.

Leather? Yuck. xp
I can't believe that they do that. That's disgusting.
I don't really drink but if I did I would not want to drink a beverage made with leather.
