I don't know if I can help at all, but do you know what her sexuality is? Is she straight, bi or lesbian? If you found out what her sexuality is, then you could mention if she likes you, and go from there...
Try not to worry about what your parentes would think, because if you do, you will not be happy. You won't be able to enjoy life to the fullest if you worry about little things. If you want my opinion, your parents are close-minded. If they won't accept it, it's their problem, not yours. They either will come around and accept it, or they won't. There's not really anything to be done that can change peoples minds.
I know I'm not the greatest helper, but... I try.. ^^; I just hoped that helped a little tiny bit..
Just know that there are many people going through things like that. I did aswell.. ^^;;
