welcome to the RP subforum!
here you can setup role play threads where you can act out events in the Black Cat universe!
there will only be a few active "official" RPs up at a time, but feel free to post unofficial ones if you'd like.
unoffical RPs will follow rules set by the person who started them; if they want to have people apply for canon characters they can, if they want canon characters to be taken on a first come first served basis they can, if they want to allow Mary Sues they can... it all depends on the whims of the person who starts the RP thread.
official RPs will be a bit more strict and will follow a set of rules I'm starting work on and will post shortly as a reply to this.

rules for official RPs:
keep it literate:
official RP posts should be made as literate as possible. you don't have to capitalize the first letter of each sentence, but at least keep proper stuff like proper names capitalized and use sentences and paragraphs. also, try to spell out words fully and keep misspellings to a minimum.
no god moding:
do not make someone else's character do something you want them to do. they're not your character and their actions are not up to you. also, no character is all powerful, you cannot just decide you win a fight.
for results of fights and other disputes in the game:
in a fight or other situation where results are unsure use the dice roll option. select one 20-sided die and roll with your post. the next person will reply based on the results of that post. a 1 would be a critical hit, the person rolling completely pwnz the opponent. for a roll of 20 it's a critial miss, not only does the person who rolls miss their hit, something terrible happens to them or a nearby teammate. a roll of 9-11 is a draw, a roll of 2-8 is a normal hit, a roll of 12-19 is a normal miss.
on playing canon characters:
you must give a short in character post showing how you RP that character to prove you can keep them In Character. more than likely you will be accepted, however, if you obviously have the character off you will be rejected.
on playing original characters:
build your original characters up thoroughly. give them weaknesses as well as strengths, make them work within the limitations of the Black Cat universe. do not give them a history that involves another character, canon or original, without permission of the person playing the other character. you have to apply to play one, just like with the canon characters, however, you'll be judged more by how balanced the strengths, weaknesses, and personality of the character is than by your ability to RP them, however, a short IC post is still required.
further rules may vary depending on which of the crew members are in charge and the plot of the RP.

Hey, I think I got a great plot. Totally different. Well, yeah. So I'll use it for my roleplay thread in Barton Town Miscellinous(sp.. who care)?
