yesterday i was out with blake, his grandpa, and his brother. we went to lunch, to the mall, and to dairy queen. the whole time i felt like they were waiting on me. blake drove part of the time but he did really badly. this made me happy because he always was saying s**t about my driving when my only problem, he said, was that i was too touchy on the brake, which i thought was a total lie. so the whole time he was driving i was cracking up. it wasn't on purpose though. i tried to give him advice but he just kept shunning me away.
was it wrong to cratique him?? i don't know. neither do i know what my purpose is.

i noticed that i can be most critical of people when i am jealous or hurt by them. it's not healthy, but it's really my most frequent defense mechanisms. you were probably feeling like he deserved to suffer because he made you suffer, and you were afraid that your driving might really have been a little iffy.
*shrugs*
but i'm so unstable i can't sit up straight, so there's a very high likelyhood of my being absolutely wrong confused

luscious_pain no, i think syou're closer to it than i am. Yeah all my friends drive good and bad sometimes but guys especially have what is called an ego...and when you were telling him about that driving well that might have hurt it and that would explain y he was shunning you off about it....just don't let it bug you I am sure he will be fine.

Well, i've got a friend that can't take any kind of critiques. Last year, she would show me drawings and if i were to point out something she could change or do differently, she'd get mad at me and not talk to me for the rest of the day. But i had another friend, she would show me drawings and i could basically sit there and make fun of them. Sometimes she would even ask me to! (it made her laugh and when your in a bad mood, laughing helps)...
So it may be a bit of you trying to make him suffer like heteria said, and it may be a bit of him not being able to handle hearing things that're wrong about his skills and having an ego (as Alyce said).
