Child Stage Roleplay With Wish~ Wish had found her way back to the fields once more. Her den mother had brought a group of chicks down to take in some of the nice sun. Stretching out on a rock, Wish flopped onto her back, sprawling out with her hind leg half hanging off the ledge.
It was such a beautiful day! Perfect for making wishes!"Lia! Come back here!" Aeryn called out to her horsefly as the winged pinkie did rounds in the sky and fluttered around, chittering its teeth towards its owner's direction before continuing on. The spotty white hippogryph ruffled its somewhat grown wings and tried to catch it but failed. She has having too much fun though, so ending the game of 'tag' would go to a waste.
As soon as Lia came to an opening, its eyes blinked at a rather bright looking newborn and flew over, landing next to it to give it a sniff. "Mm? What is-Oh!" Aeryn was about to ask why the horsefly had stopped and quickly saw why. "Hello there.~" She cooed. Reaching up with her paws to snug the muzzle that was snuffing her, Wish let out a soft mewling. She couldn't really respond with words, but the look on her little face was bright and happy.
Someone to play with! Her entire body started to wriggle with excitement."Aww. Aren't you a cute one!" She giggled and rested her belly against the ground while she placed her head just in front of the infant. Lia on the other hand had taken flight once more and made circles in the air before diving down to perch itself on top of the bright hippogryph's head. Aeryn eyed it for a moment or two then returned her attention to the smaller other. "I wonder what's your name.. Mine is Aeryn! And that horsefly is Lia. We are both pleased to meet you." She stretched out a forepaw and lightly poked the newborn. Wish did her best to poke back at Aeryn, almost giddy that there was now a horsefly on her head. The little stub of a tail she had was furiously waggling back and forth, a funny site to see as her bottom practically wiggled with it.
She wished she could tell Aeryn what her name was, and that she had a very nice name herself! But alas, when she tried to speak once more, it came out in a shallow, tired whinny. Oh well. When she was bigger maybe!Blink. Maybe it was trying to speak. But of course hippogryphs could not at that age. So, Aeryn decided to hush and keep quiet, pretending to be like what she was before, excluding the climbing over others bit since she would not want to squish the poor thing. Giggling at the poke, she moved over and curled around Wish, nuzzling the bright newborn's body with her muzzle. Now what did I like to play last time.. I can't really do anything much since I'm bigger than her.. Her eyes twitched in thought as Lia stared at her, mimicking her exact actions... or at least tried to.Ohh... Aeryn was pretty warm and cozy to nestle down against. She snugged right up into the bigger gryph's side, a sigh of contentment passing her tiny lips. This was nice. And it was such a nice day too!
She'd made a new friend, what a wonderful wish to come true! She couldn't have been happier. Well, maybe if Grumpy were less Grumpy when she went home!Feeling the snuggle, she peered down at Wish before an idea just went 'Ding!' in her head. I know!' Aeryn rolled over to the side, though as she did... she picked up the fuzzy bright ball and lifted the infant so she would rest within her left wing, as if it was a nest. One... two.. and wee! Aeryn flapped her feathers slightly and adjusted the right amount of energy so that the newborn did be bouncing up and down in a random pattern.
Lia chittered and flew over, following Wish's movements as she was being thrown around.Oops! On the move again! Wish squeaked excitedly as Aeryn pulled her up into her wings. Wriggling once more she whinnied out when she was thrust up into the air, her tiny wings flapping like a hummingbird, trying to stay up! Alas, she fell back down into the wings, but up she went again!
Everytime she was up, her wings fluttered about wildly. This game was so much fun! It was like she was flying! But not. Wow!Aeryn could not hold onto her tongue anymore. "Someday you'll be able to have your wings as big as your mammy's and pappy's! Then we could play around in the sky.~" She chirped and happily watched those tiny wings flutter, much like Lia's except they could not support the weight of the young chick. One or two more bounces. Then the game was over, adjusting herself back, she placed Wish back onto her original spot and wondered what they should play next. Down again. Flopping over the rock, the small chick gryph let out an enormous yawn. That had worn her out a bit! Pushing at the rock, Wish began to attempt to sit up. Struggling, she only managed to flop back down on her side, one ear flopping backwards over her head.
Well, better luck next time! She pawed at the air, looking for Aeryn's muzzle again."Aww.." Aeryn shuffled over and got up on her bum. Using both of her front paws, she tried to help Wish balance in order to be able to sit up. The hippogryph was not too sure whether it would work... but there was no harm trying right? After all, there was nothing sharp around to fall on and she was there to protect the chick if anything was to happen! Lia too, apart from the fact that it would be squashed under, almost, anything. Feeling Aeryn moving her around again, she reached up and clung to her muzzle, letting herself end up sitting on her bottom. Wriggling she padded the soft muzzle and let out a happy coo sound. She was sitting up! Admittedly, not all on her own... but she was up! Up!!"Yay! You are doing it!"It was warm-heartening to see Wish having a seat on the ground with her help, but the moment her muzzle was caught... Aeryn had this wrinkly feeling in her nose and it was not comfortable... at all. Oh no. Unable to control it, she let out a rough sneeze and that caused her head jerk forwards while her paws fell to the floor, losing their grasp of the infant.OH NO! Between the force of the sneeze, and the fact she no longer had anything to hold onto, Wish found herself tumbling backwords, flopping off the edge of the rock and onto the ground.
Ow! Trembling a bit, the small gryph began to let out a loud cry. That hurt! Wriggling her body around she tried to get up, but found herself stuck where she was. This simply caused the small chick to cry out again hoping Aeryn was alright and find her.
She really had no concept of distance, and for all her little mind could tell her was that she had been blown far far away!Shaking her head about, she sneezed once more before the entire uneasy feeling in her nose stopped. Aeryn gave a sigh of relief but... something was missing. "Ack!" The fluff ball was gone! But it took Lia a second to spot Wish, a split second for the spotty hippogryph to hear her cry and find out which direction she had rolled off too.
She hurriedly padded over, a rather short distance, and saw what was the problem. Apparently Wish's butt was stuck within one of those smaller holes. "Let me get you out." Aeryn took hold of the infant by its neck rather gently and tugged slowly. Her horsefly had fluttered behind and was pushing the bright chick with all its little might. Yay Aeryn! Wish whimpered but was relieved to have been found. She could feel the larger gryph pulling up on her slowly, and the Horsefly pushing against her back. Her but wriggled around in the hole, and she could feel herself moving out of it.
Slowly, slowly.... POP! She came flying up suddenly as the earth released it's grasp from around her.The moment Wish was free from the hole in the ground, Aeryn fell backwards slightly but quickly caught the newborn and rolled onto the ground. "I hope you are alright! I wouldn't know what I'm gonna do if you're hurt!" She pawed at the ball on her belly and nuzzled her with her muzzle, quite happy about her rescue. Shaking off the entire situation, Wish had finished whimpering and crying, almost forgetting what had happened entirely. Wriggling about Aeryn's belly, she nuzzled against the larger gryph's fur.
Aeryn was so nice! "Aww. I guess we won't try that again, huh?" Aeryn stroked the side of Wish's tummy, tilting her head upwards to watch the infant move around and giggled every so often at the tickling. Lia regained its conscious and fluttered weakly over to its owner, landing right next to the fluff ball, panting in a strange manner. It had used half of its energy, which was not a lot really, and obviously needed some rest. Rolling over onto her tummy after Aeryn' petted her, Wish wrapped a paw over Lia. Snugging the little horsefly she gave a soft yawn and wriggled about. Lia and Aeryn were so nice. She hoped all their wishes would come true...Lia squeaked at the touch and squirmed around a little since it had been so sudden. Though it only took a while to actually register that Wish had her paw around it and it chittered its teeth in delight. Flipping its long tail about, Lia licked the the infant's cheek in a friendly way, not that it fancied meat of course.
Aeryn smiled and turned over, holding onto the both of them first before she squished them, to let them rest on her back. Her wings neatly folded by her side while she let out a great yawn, ready to fall asleep whenever the time came. She could continue on playing but she was afraid Wish might want to rest for now. Wish seemed to giggle as Lia licked her cheek. Such a friendly little horsefly. The hug she recieved from Aeryn was sudden, but she was happily hugged. This was a great day!
Content with the current situation, as Aeryn let both herself and Lia onto her back, she stretched out her little body, wriggling with glee. Kneading carefuly a bit of her back, a silly grin crossed the chick's face. She could just stay there forever! She nuzzled her cheek into the back of Aeryn's neck.Aeryn wagged her tail around lightly as she watched a few younger hippogryphs play, her eyes rolled upwards to find a few mothers flying around in circles, probably either watching or looking for some fresh grass to chew on. Yawning once more, she looked over her shoulders to see how Wish and Lia were doing before turning back. "I wonder how your mammy and pappy are like.~" For some reason, she enjoyed meeting the parents of her other friends, getting to know them so she could hold a closer friendship. Wish wished that she could tell Aeryn about her den mother and the like. Sadly, she was much to small to do so. Someday she would though. She would introduce Aeryn to her denmother and it would be good.
Letting out a soft chirp, and a small yawn, Wish stretched out once more, curling up next to Lia on Aeryn's back. She was starting to get tired as the day dragged on. Soon it would be sleep time again.Lia had been the first to fall asleep.
Aeryn giggled at the movement on her back and idly poked at a sunflower shifting around in the breeze. Without much thought, she bit onto it and chewed away, sucking at the limited amounts of honey on its petals. Turning around with the part of plant sticking out from her mouth, she smiled at Wish and extended out her wings to pat the infant on the head, stroking her at the same time.

Child Stage Roleplay with Grumpy and Wish~ Grumpy sits on top of a rock. It's nothing too big, just barely rising up out of the earth. His little tail is limp and lifeless, and he's just staring off and watching the oncoming storm clouds. It's going to be a noisy night, no doubt, but that's also the kind of weather that he likes. Dragging herself out from her little hideout, Aeryn let out a great, big yawn and then sighed. Oh.. It's going to rain. Her ears poked up as she examined the many grey clouds floating about, darkening every minute. Well, she did better get something to eat before retreating back into the cave. "Lia? You'll stay in there. It's gonna going to be safe for you if it pours." She called out, making sure that the horsefly did listen to her advice.
It gave a nod.
And so, Aeryn went on to search. Though, as she grew closer to the open field, her eyes caught sight of Grumpy, sitting upon a rock and staring up into the sky. "Gr-" The spotty hippogryph bit onto her tongue just as she was about to yell his name, remembering what she had done the last time they met. She annoyed him, didn't she? And she was not sure whether he had forgiven her or not.He always loved this kind of weather. It always perked his mood up. The smell was lovely, the sight was too; the roar of thunder, the bolts of lightning shooting across the sky; it was an intense sight and a very enjoyable one, at least for this particular Hippogryph.
His wings twitch and stretch, tilting his head as he hears a sound but paying it no mind for the moment. She wondered whether Grumpy had heard her.. since he did move, somewhat. Gathering up the courage, Aeryn tapped over very quietly and sat herself beside the rock, hoping the infant would not mind her presence, if he had noticed. ".. You're going to stay up here for the rain?" Her head was facing the sky but her eyes were looking over to his direction. Obviously, she felt a little uneasy and awkward."I like the rain," he answers as if he's forgotten everything. Maybe he has, or maybe he doesn't recognize her. Either way though it's hard to determine. "It's always fun to watch." "I.. see.." Aeryn lowered her head for a moment before raising it up again. Well, that was better than she expected. She was counting on him either ignoring her completely or yelling at her to leave him alone. "Why don't you watch it under shelter? You might catch a cold. I'm sure it would be a bother to you if you did." Her tail wagged behind, flopping every so often as a droplet of water did fall on her."It's not raining yet though. I wanna watch it until it comes," he answers, turning his head to look at her. "And I'm used to it. True Heart and Noble Heart always let me watch it," he adds defensively, definitely not going to let someone who isn't actually the boss of him drag him away to a shelter. True Heart and Noble Heart? Probably his flock's guardians. Her body twitched and moved away slightly at the tone of his voice, ears falling down as if she was suddenly rejected and asked to leave. "Sorry, I guess I was just worried about your health.. but it is nice to watch the rain.." Aeryn tore her gaze from Grumpy and eyed the tiny blades of grass planted in front of her. Perhaps when she was in the mood.. to be gloomy.. She did sometimes place herself at the entrance of her cave and watch the rain platter at the soil below. It was relaxing, but just a little depressing, that was her own opinion. He shrugs, not really knowing what to say. Now he looks away from her to watch as the clouds grow darker, blocking out what is becoming less and less of the sun in the sky. His own mood was perkier despite that he wasn't smiling or seeming very happy at all; that's Grumpy for you though.
"What're you doing out here?" he finally asks. "Mm?"
She turned back and blinked a couple of times, repeating the question in her head. What was she doing out here again? Oh yeah. "I was planning on finding something to snack on. But not anymore, I guess I wasn't that hungry." Aeryn chuckled and stuck out her tongue quickly before drawing it back into her mouth. She was a big eater like her father, strangely.
"Then I saw you and wanted to.." Maybe she shouldn't bring up the past. "Company you?"Wondering where her blueish brother had tottered off to, Wish was circling the central grounds. Having just come into the ability to walk, talk, and generally get around to do her own thing, Wish had grown accompanied to knowing what was up.
"GRUMPY!" She called out across the plains, after all. He was the only 'brother' she'd really gotten to know.
Bounding along the grass, she popped her head over a rock, noticing familar blue feathers... and hey! White ones too!
The scent on the white one seemed famila... Aeryn?
Oh boy!
She smiled. Yay! Does that mean Grumpy has forgiven her? Or does he even remember what happened between the both of them. For the sake of not having the possibility of being friends with him, Aeryn made sure to push the thought out of her mind. "You're welcome!" She chirped but quietened down almost immediately.
Sooo.. what now? "Are you cold?" She asked him as the wind started to pick up, causing her fur and feather to sway in one direction.
Suddenly her head snapped to whereever the voice had came from and saw a rather bright looking hippogryph... She seemed so familiar.. Those colors. "Hello there!"He shakes his head. "Nope," he answers, but blinks when he hears his name. His ears pin down against his head, grumbling out in mild annoyance.
"What is it Wish?" he calls back, pushing up to his feet to turn around and look in the direction of where he assumes he heard the voice coming from. "Grumpy!" Wish grinned, hoping over the rock, catching her foot, rolling and tumbling down the hill before suddenly skidding to a halt in front of the bigger, blue, Gryph.
"I was just looking for you." she grinned, then leaned her head back to look at Aeryn, a grin on her face, "Hi, I know you I think."She was watching Grumpy and pondered about his reactions when the other hippogryph came trotting along. Seeing how they both had a heart symbol on their body, she assumed they belonged to the same flock. How interesting!
Aeryn giggled and grinned back happily, fluffing up her feathers as she got up onto her four paws. "I believe I know you too! I'm Aeryn.~ We played once when you were so much smaller."He shakes his head at her, ears swiveling as he stares down at her. "Oh. Do I have to go home?" he asks, sounding albeit disappointed at the possibility that he would have to miss the great storm out here in the open. He didn't much enjoy it from their mountain home. "No." Wish shook her head and laughed, "Not yet. I just wanted to come see you." she rolled forward and hugged Grumpy's leg.
Wiggling her tail she pondered her meeting with Aeryn, "You pulled me out of the hole, right?" she giggled, "I remember that. We had fun."Aww. They looked so cute.
"Uh huh! I did.~ So your name is Wish?" Aeryn asked to be certain, since she overheard Grumpy it out loud. The hippogryph giggled and padded over a distance, just to take in the moment of some other hugging onto the blue hippogryph."Oh, okay." That made him feel better, knowing he wouldn't have to leave yet. He goes quiet to watch the two of them talk, his ears swiveling. Turning away from Grumpy's leg, Wish nodded a bit. "Yah, my name is Wish. It's nice to finally see you Aeryn." she wandered over and nuzzled against Aeryn's leg. A friendly greeting.
"I hope I didn't interupt you guys."She smiled and lowered her chin to nuzzle the top part of Wish's head before sitting back down on the ground. "Hehe, you haven't interupted anything. We were just talking. Isn't that right Grumpy?" Aeryn turned her attention back onto the blue hippogryph, feeling a lot better now.He shakes his head. "Nope, you didn't interrupt anything, Wish. We were just sitting here watching the lightning and listening to the thunder." "Okay. I'm glad then." she giggled and padded her paws on the ground.
"I hear we're gonna get a biiiiiiiig storm." Wish puffed herself up a bit to emphasize how 'big' this storm was really gonna be. As though her small form could prove this to them. She is so adorable. I wonder how their relationship is like. Maybe good friends! Aeryn could not help but widen her smile as Wish puffed up. "Uh huh! And we need to be weary about lightning. Since we are in an open area. Ain't going to be nice if one did strike and cooked us.~" She wiggled and extended out her wings before folding them back together."Huh. The chances of that happening are very small," he states with a wrinkle of the end of his muzzle. His little wings spread out and he steps down from the rock as he watches Wish wander off towards home. "Besides, most of the time it doesn't even last long..." Aeryn waved at Wish, saying her a 'See you soon' in hopes of actually being able to do so.
"I was joking.~ I would be hiding under something if that did happen." She hopped up onto her paws again and headed towards Grumpy, nudging at his cheek gently with her own. "When will you be returning back home?""If you could get away fast enough," he points out. He blinks at the nudge, pulling himself away afterwards and stepping down from the rock to start walking through the soft, cool grass. "I dunno. When I feel like it. Why?" Oh right. No hippogryph is faster than lighting. She shivered at the image of herself being all black and smoky. That would just be terrible. "Just asking.~ Might you want to find another batch of berries with me? I think Lia would like it if I brought some home." Aeryn followed behind Grumpy, skipping and hopping every so often. Had she expressed those fears outloud, Grumpy would have pointed out that she actually would have more chance of survival than she'd think. "No, I'm not hungry," he answers, and in truth, he wans't. He just wante dto walk around now, enjoying the weather. "Alrightie then." She sniffed at the air then looked over her shoulder as to where her hideout was. "I should be getting back, gonna go get some berries for Lia first.~ I'll see you around Grumpy!" Aeryn padded forward and nuzzled his cheek before running off towards the greenery. There was always a nice time they could go searching together and she would be looking forward to it.!

Child Stage Roleplay with Lirit~ "Lets see... and I stretch out like this.." The young hippogryph was squirming around the fields of the central area, extending out her wings as she tried to capture the wind beneath her feathers. Apparently she was planning on learning how to fly a much longer distance then she could and her horsefly was helping! Aeryn would watch how those tiny wings flutter, but it really did not help seeing how hers were different, shape and size wise. "Is this even right?" She peered over to the smaller creature in doubt and wiggled her body around, feeling a little odd about her current posture. Lia had instructed her to tilt over to the left, and she did, balancing two paws while the others hung in the air. "I really don't think I'm going to be able to fly like this." Lirit hadn't been there for very long... Well, perhaps five or ten minutes. He'd been trotting quite carelessly along the edge of a stream until the water abruptly ended, leaving him a bit crestfallen. No sooner had he finished pouting the end of his stream did he notice a very colorful looking Gryph... squatting? Well, whatever it was she was doing, Lirit decided it would be best and give her some constructive critism.
... Then again, it always helped when you knew what it was, exactly, that you were critisizing. Raising his head profoundly and trotting over towards the spot in the field that Aeryn and her Horsefly were... doing whatever, the dignified Hippogrphy cleared his throat unecessarily, hoping to catch the girls' attention without introducing himself at first.
"I really-Oh! Hello there." As she was about to perform an "amazing feat", the female child heard something from behind and looked over her shoulder, spotting a rather dark-looking hippogryph. Aeryn got back onto her four paws as she turned around fully, hopping in her spot with much excitement. Had he come to learn how to fly too? Or maybe he just wanted to play. Well, whatever it was, Lia was not too happy about how he was interupting her 'lesson'. The horsefly chittered its teeth in his direction and fluttered over to land upon the head of its owner, watching him.
Her tail wagged back and forth while she smiled at him. A big and friendly one. "I'm Aeryn! Nice to meet you.~ And this is Lia." She rolled her eyes upwards to point out her 'instructor' for the day. Lirit watched the Horsefly without much interest; a simple eyebrow quirk and a hardly noticeable nod was given as the girl told him of her little pet. While she introduced herself, though, Lirit kept close attention.
"I'm Lirit." he responded with pride, a small, flashy Gryph-smile teetering across his muzzle. Taking a step towards her before he settled down and sat comfortably, occasionally letting his wings twitch subconciously, it was a moment before the Hippogryph spoke again.
"What was it exactly you were trying to do before?" he asked casually, his eyes fluttering around before slowly returning back to Aeryn. He didn't want to seem too interested in whatever she'd been doing... Even though he was.
For some reason, the horsefly felt uncomfortable with the other around them and quickly slid down its owner's head, neck before landing square on her back. Using two to three feathers, it hid beneath them and pretended to rest for a bit, since it was partially tired after teaching her for at least an hour.
Aeryn blinked slowly and followed suit in sitting upon the soft ground. "Lia was telling me how to fly... but I guess it was working really." She took her free wing with her paws and hugged it against her body, grinning as she visioned how silly she must have seen from before. Nows your chance! he thought schemeingly, a sly smirk coming to take it's rightful place on his muzzle as his mind whirled. What better way to make friends then to completely show them up? Lirit wasn't exactly... used to social interaction. You couldn't blame him for being completely clueless (though he'd seldom admit it) when it came to making friends.
"... Are you saying that you don't know how to fly yet?" he asked softly in a slightly demeaning, almost superior fashion. Little did he know he was digging himself into a hole.
She blinked once more, not seeming bothered by the question since she did know how to fly, just not high enough to get the fruits from the tree tops. One little thing that Aeryn had a problem with was.. if someone tried to insult her or anything, she wouldn't know till she was told bluntly, plain, simple and in her face. The female hippogryph was not the brighest of the lot because of her optimistic view of the world. But hey! There's nothing wrong about that.~
"Well, I can. But I just can't fly up there! Like our parents!" Using a paw, she pointed out at the sky above. "Can you though?" Lirit raised a curious eyebrow at that word. "Parents?" he repeated without care, clearly unknowing to the meaning of the word. Quickly, though, his attention was given to Aeryn's latter comment. Can you thought? Well. Of course he could fly! It was in his blood, wasn't it? Therefore telling her (while putting great emphasis on his skills) wasn't considering lying, right?...
"Of course I can fly." he answered plainly, grinning in an almost cheerful manner at her. There. That wasn't hard, was it? She'd be impressed, and Lirit would have a new friend. Psh. It wasn't like she was going to ask him to demonstrate or anything. Hah!
"You can?! Wow!" Aeryn jumped back onto her four paws and ruffled her wings in excitement. Many of the younger generation could not even go pass the bottom half of the trunk of a grand tree. But this hippogryph could! He could really fly! Amazing! Skipping over to his side, she nudged his neck, as what she would usually do to imply something, and smiled wider at him, her pink eyes sparkling with astonishment!
"Could you show me?"
... Well that had been unexpected. The Hippogryph snorted lightly, as if he were being modest of her initial praise. Grinning internally, (though a trace of a ghostly smirk seemed to appear on his snout) the creature was about to say something along the lines of 'well, I, of course, have been flying since yaddayadda', when Aeryn proceeded to nudge him.
Lirit emitted a sound that was a cross between a snarl and a whine, snorting as he flared his nostrils with disapproval. Nobody touched him. He strayed away without even realizing the bizarre reaction he'd performed to just a simple poke, and it was clear that he wasn't even concious, it seemed, of how he'd responded.
"Show you?" he asked, as if nothing had happened. "Well... Of course I can. I've just got to test the wind to see if it's... safe flying weather." he explained with sophistication, before he spread out one of his wings, as if to test the degree and speed of the air.
The child giggled, clearly oblivious to his dissatisfaction of being touched. It was her own habit of nudging people for odd reasons, and she probably picked it up ever since she was a wee hippogryph when her mother did tapped her muzzle against the side of her neck, telling her it was time to get up. Or just to grab her attention from watching a little insect make its way home.
"Okay!" She chirped and sat back onto the ground, examining the other enthusiastically, waiting for him to take flight. Aeryn asked of nothing since she figured it might distract him and cause him to fumble. Her horsefly, on the other hand, just chattered and raised a confused look. Lirit continued to stare cheerfully, blissfully unaware that Aeryn was very expectant of him... Though as the prolonged silence continued, Lirit had a very sudden, very dreadful feeling bubble in the pit of his tummy. She wants me to show her!
Well. Well! There was a first time for everything, right? Besides, if he messed up, he'd just blame it on the wind. Exhaling deeply, the foolish Gryph proudly puffed his chest out, raised his head with an amount of dignity too much to consider respectful, and spread his immature, though unusually wide, skinny wings.
"Ready?!" he squeaked roughly, closing his eyes as he exhaled sharply and took off.
Running at what he considered to be a good 'take-off' speed, it wasn't long before the Hippogryph suddenly realized he was not going to be able to fly. Still, though, he wanted to try. Lirit began to beat his wings feverently, hoping that by some bizarre strong of luck he'd somehow manage to miraculously be lifted into the air.
Wagging her tail, with her eyes wide and watching, Aeryn squeaked as Lirit he took off. She waited for something to happen as he flapped his wings. Is it really going to fly? Maybe. Well, give him a couple more minutes. Though nothing was really happening. Lia just rolled its eyes and went back to looking at something more interesting.

Child Stage Roleplay with Persephone~ With her parents gone off to search for food, their little spotty hippogryph decided to make her way down to a flower patch that stretched for only a few metres. Flowers made Aeryn happy since she adored the many rainbow colors of every petal and the different shades of green and brown that dominated the bottom half. Cheerfully prancing around, though making sure to not step on anything, particularly those that could sting, she nuzzled into the soft texture and sniffed at each individual blossom. The smell was mind-blowing and it was a wonder to her since up in the North, there wasn't much to admire but blobs of snow.
Lia idly sat upon an oddly large sunflower and chittered at its owner, asking when it was time to eat. It was hungry. It was always hungry. Her ears perk as she watches a body move through the flower patch. She was on a rock nestled in the fields; the perfect spot for sunbathing. Her head tilts as the body comes closer and closer. As it does she climbs up on all four legs and leans forward to look.
"Hello..?" Whilst prancing towards a rock, Aeryn spotted a smaller hippogryph looking and greeting her. Yay! Company! She thought as she made her way over, but made a little mistake with her stepping and tripped over herself. The silly child tumbled her way over to where the other was and bumped into the side of the rock. Well, it didn't hurt that much so no worries there. Lia rolled its eyes at its owner's foolishness and continued to watch from its position.
"Eheh.. Ouchies..." Aeryn rubbed the top of her head with a paw, chuckling lightly, before she went back onto all fours. "Sorry about that. Hi! I'm Aeryn!~"Persephone winces and frowns as Aeryn crashes into the rock. She moves closer and looks further at the other girl. Her ears waggle slightly, her tail lifting up behind her. Little wings stretch out as she keeps herself balanced.
"Are you okay?" That was her concern; it always is with others. However, she doesn't forget her manners entirely. "I'm Persephone." "Yep! I'm fine. See?" She smiled at the cuteness of the smaller one and started to jump around the rock, trying her best to not fall back down again. It was a little difficult since going round and around did make her feel giddy. After four rounds, Aeryn stopped right in front of Persephone, giggling happily.
"Persephone? That's a nice name.~" She plopped her butt down to the ground and wagged her tail from left to right. "Whatcha doing on that rock?" Curious as always.Persephone does her best to follow around but she finds it's far too difficult and opts to sit herself down instead as she starts to get dizzy. She waits on this Aeryn girl to stop, but she's not upset or annoyed at all. She just smiles, watching.
"I'm just relaxing. Daddy does it a lot and I like to too. What are you doing?" "Oh. I just wanted to see some of the pretty flowers." Aeryn looked over her shoulders to the patch of blossoms then tilted up to the North side of the area. "I don't get to see much at home. And Lia wanted to see whether she could find some honey."
She returned her attention to Persephone and blinked. "You're alone I guess?"She nods her head, smiling. She finally lets herself back down on the slab of rock, her forepaws hanging down over the side of it.
"My dad's nearby. He always is. Probably with my brothers and sister."
Aeryn meets a thing As like any other day high up in the Northern part of the Earth, Aeryn popped her head out of her family’s cave and peered around. Snow, snow, snow. She wiggled her nose and yawned a little. Time for breakfast! The little hippogryph padded through the white lumps, making her way to her secret stash just a few meters away from her home. It wasn’t much of a secret, but she liked to think of it that way. Snapping her head from left to right, she looked about to see whether there was anyone nearby before she rolled the stoned cover off to reveal a hole in the ground. Her stomach growled. Hurry Aeryn! On cue, she stretched out a paw to grab a handful of berries but felt something soft and furry… An intruder? Quickly as she could, Aeryn picked up what was clearly not a fruit and stared at it with narrowed eyes. Eh? What was it? It had ears, eyes... a tail... four legs. It wasn't a hippogryph that's for sure. Instead of 'scolding' the thing, she gently placed it on the snow and continued to observe. It looked like it was sleeping...
MEEP!
Or maybe not. The thing opened its eyes WIDE and started to run around in circles, bumping into the forepaws of Aeryn a few times. The hippogryph squeaked in shock and stepped back. It was reeeally wierd... but kinda cute. She poked at it and it suddenly jumped up, landing onto its back and wiggled about. "Aww! Aren't you adorable.~ Can I keep you?" Aeryn said to the thing. It stopped squirming and eyed her. Yes? No? Maybe? It sort of nodded its head. "Really? Yay! I'm going to call you Dizzy!"
Looks like Lia is going to have something else to take care of.

Child Stage Roleplay with Cad~ Platter platter platter. Tiny feet, belonging to none other than our pink and yellow spotted hippogryph, splashed against the water of a stream. She giggled happily as she watched her own reflection become disordered due to the disturbance and stuck out her tongue. Lia, sitting on her head, just hung on for dear life. Aeryn liked the water as much as she liked everything else. Well, not everything... just most. Her thing, um... Avaji, was spinning around and around next to her. After all this while since she kept Dizzy for her own, the child had no idea why it liked to spin... or maybe it was trying to catch its tail. Who knows? "And this is what water looks like." The older gryph spoke like she was talking to a baby. Not that Cad was much older, but regardless. There was a certain quality in her voice that could drive anyone insane if constantly addressed in such a tone. Regrettably, it was her normal voice. She set Cad down by the shore opposite another gryph, not really noticing the company. Cad, however, noticed immediately and and called out in what could only be described as a helium-induced chirp. "HIIiiiiii!"She heard voices! Not in her head but elsewhere. Turning over to see who it was, Aeryn spotted a bigger hippogryph and a smaller one that had the most interesting colors she had ever seen. Blue and red and some funny yellow in the middle of his tummy. Unsure of whether she should approach them, Aeryn hobbled over to their direction but quickly jumped as she was greeted. Eek! That blue and red had a funny tone! Lia's ears twitched and drooped down to the sides of its head, covering both of them with her tiny paws. Dizzy? Well... it just kept on spinning.
"Hi there!" Aeryn chirped, looking up to the older one than to the other. "I'm Aeryn!" It was a habit to say her name whenever she met new gryphs, despite the fact that one might nab her and just run off.Cad made a short hop, unaware of the water until it splashed around his paws and up to the botom of his head. "Euuuu.." It startled him, and for a moment he forgot abouyt the other gryphs around him. He lifted one paw and looked long and hard at it as water dripped from it. That was different. He set it back down slowly, curiously. Water was strange. "Euuuuuuuu.""Euuu?" Aeryn observed the blue and red gryph and tilted her head to the side. "You don't like water?" She lifted up her left paw and dangled it about, causing the water droplets to fly everywhere. Well, the older hippogryph was showing him that this was what they called 'water'... and not everyone's first impressions were positive. "It tastes good and it does help your body to grow!" Kinda. His den mother nudged him from behind. "It's okay." She splashed him, rather forcefully with one paw, but quickly followed it with an apologetic Oops. Cad knew she didn't mean to. Being her only ward, he knew her well, somehow. An unspoken bond they somehow shared.Cad shook himself off quickly, though he never left the water. Satisfied, he suddenly remembered the other gryph. "Cad..." He stood on his hind legs, flapping his small wings but with minimal results, "Grow!"She blinked and smiled at the older hippogryph before turning her attention to the blue and red. "So your name is Cad? Nice to meet you!" Aeryn giggled as he tried to stretch himself out and did the same, only that she is a little bigger and her wings were.. very much larger. "Yep! Cad grow! Like Aeryn did! And you'll be able to fly!" She flapped her wings slightly and picked herself off the ground just a tiny bit.
Lia chittered and fly off her head, giving out a 'What in the world' look at its owner and the strange colored gryph. His forelegs splashed down and he waded across the stream to where Aeryn was. He slowed when it was at it's deepest, and the water started to lap up around his body, but renewed his pace when he felt safe again. He shook the exces water of of him as he reached the shore, shirping and sputtering some bit of nonsense at Aeryn as he did so.
"Aeryn BIiiig!"Aeryn watched as Cad came closer and settled back down gently, so as to not give off a huge wave. She giggled at his words, nodding her head a couple of times. "Uh huh! Aeryn is big. Aeryn used to be as small as Cad too!" Stretching out a paw, she patted the smaller hippogryph on the head and smiled really wide. She wondered about his colors and those words on the side of his tummy since she couldn't really read.
Dizzy stopped spinning and looked at Cad with its small beady eyes... and then it went back to spinning around."Oooooh." Finally, Cad noticed that the other gryph had her own friends that came with her. He looked intrigued by this other creature but not because he had never seen one before, but becasue it was spinning. That looked fun and without another word, Cad began to do the same. Spinning on the spot, paw over paw, he began to imitate the foregin creature. Maybe he'd ask about it later. "Ooooooooh."Even though Dizzy couldn't see much but a blurred version of the world going really, really fast, it was able to tell that Cad was spinning too. And thus, that made it spin even faster!
"Ack! You'll get dizzy!" Aeryn wasn't sure how to stop the blue and red hippogryph as she fidgeted about, wanting to pin him down but knew she shouldn't, just in case she did hurt him. Next time, Aeryn reminded herself that whenever she meets the younger hippogryphs, she needed to keep Dizzy away."Hey, Icandothattoo!" His den mother called out from the field she had wandered off in. This only prompted Cad to spin faster as he now saw it as a competition or a game. The damp ground was starting to get trampled flat as he turned faster and faster. He heard Aeryn, but really did'nt want to stop. He was grossly unaware of the nausea that had begun to creep over him and the disorientation he was about to experience. Finally it overtook him, and he flopped down, landing on his back, eyes hazily looking to the sky as it continued to spin even after he had stopped.
"Diiiiizzy.." His head rocked gently from side to side as he gradually regained his senses. That was so much fun.Aeryn... really didn't know what to do. And when Cad finally stopped, she sighed a little, relieved, and padded over to his side, to sit down next to him. We all know what Dizzy should be doing at that point... Lia fluttered back onto its owners head and eyed Cad. It thought it was silly to have done that but weren't most infants silly and clueless.
"Are you okay Cad?" Aeryn asked as she poked him lightly.Cad sighed in response, then rolled onto his belly, having regained enough sense to right himself without losing the contents of his stomach. He looked over to Aeryn, and smiled as though nothing was ever wrong. For him, nothing was, nor was it ever. He didn't feel well, but it passed so why should it matter? "Cad dizzy. Aeryn do Dizzy?" He tilited his head with the inquiry, then added as form of reassurance. "Fun!"Wagging her tail left and right, she sniffed a little and wondered what Cad had said. "Aeryn do dizzy? Does Cad want Aeryn do dizzy?" A warm smile appeared back onto her lips as she waited for his answer. Aeryn has spun a couple of times in her life time and didn't really mind the feeling but of course she was worried about others, since she had seen gryphs bashing into things. Dizzy was pretty much used to spinning so it was alright to leave it alone." Aeryn no dizzy." He shook his head and spoke as though he was departing some sage advice to the older gryph. Sadly, the advice was belittled by his childish speaking habits and small tone. "Dizzy make sky.." He paused and bugged his eyes out while circling his head around and around. "Sky crazy when dizzy.""I'm winning!" His Den mother was still spinning, and Cad looked over for a moment to acknowledge her. "Do good Dizzy!!"Listening to Cad, she giggled and nodded her head. "Alright Cad, I'll follow your orders. Dizzy makes sky crazy.~ I'll remember that." Aeryn happily played the fool. She looked over to othe older hippogryph and blinked, was she alright? Aeryn obviously didn't think of an adult doing that but oh well, something to jot down in her memory space. "So what does Cad want to do now?" Lia ruffled its wings and chittered about food. What does Cad want to do? What did he always want to do?, not that she would know that. "Play." He replied matter of factly and he got off the ground, encouraging her to do the same."Play game." He tugged on her ear lightly before she had a chance to react to his former imperative. He was a little pushy now, or maybe it was just his mood for the day. He hoped she wouldn't be put off by it.
"Game fun!" he added, reassuringly."Play? Al-Eek." Her head tilted downwards as she felt her ear being tugged on. Aeryn didn't really mind, just that it suprised her, kinda. Ruffling her wings, she stood onto all four paws and gave a thoughtful look. Games huh? She liked games since games made almost everyone happy! And she was one of them of course. "What does Cad wanna play? Hide and seek? Try to catch the fishies in the stream?" She pointed out at the tiny guppies that were swimming by. "I spy?""Fishy?" Cad looked over to the stream. He hadn't noticed those before, and somehow, they looked tasty as something primal awoke in him. He pounced toward the stream even as he replied with any amount of certainty. "Cashhh Fishy!" His front paws splashed at the edge and he started to paw at each little fish that passed, with no success. He might have been able to learn something from Aeryn had another Den Mother not arrived. Spying the insanity present as Cad's own den mother was still spinning like a fool, the other mother scooped Cad up onto her back, ignoring his pleas to be left alone. She proceded over to Cad's den mother and began to scold her. After a lengthy lecture, they all flew west, Cad's den mother worried. Something seemed wrong, but from where Aeryn was situated, she had missed the discussion. It didn't look good. Aeryn smiled at Cad and watched him splash about. As for her, she pretended to be catching the fishes but just allowed them to swim by, placing her forepaws where it was empty. Just as she was about to ask how Cad was doing, her pink eyes looked up at another large hippogryph and watched her carry Cad away. So it was the end of their fun time? Tilting her head over, Aeryn wondered what had happened and worried much, by the looks of the other adult. I hope everything is okay...

Adolescent Stage Roleplay with Phastos After the rather strange, yet interesting experience with the 'thing' (he still wasn't quite sure what it was) the day before, Phastos was even more interested in what was around him. Obviously, there were things out there he wasn't aware of, and that was was exciting!"Look at you! You're all grown up.~" Lowering her head to the ground, she nuzzled her pet Avaji at its side. Lia rolled her eyes and looked away, either feeling quite out of place or the fact that she was jealous... since she couldn't grow any bigger. Deciding to flutter off to do something more of her interest, the horsefly flew towards what seemed to be a tiny black... hippogrpyh. Being the ever so friendly Lia, she landed on top of its head and sat there. Comfy.Lost in his thoughts, Phastos jumped when he felt the sudden weight on his head. What the heck was that?! He peeped, rather loudly, as if to say "Who are you and what are you doing on my head?!" He couldn't see what it was, and started wiggling around in an effort to figure that out.Lia chattered its teeth. It would be more comfortable if the cushion didn’t move so much! The horsefly tried to balance itself but ended up tumbling over and almost met its furry doom. Good thing Dizzy was there to snatch Lia. Well, not really since he started to run around and around with her in his mouth.
“Better thank Dizzy for that.” Aeryn giggled as she came over to see what was going on. “Oh!” Her pink beady eyes caught the sight of a chick, cute as any! “Hello there little one.”A voice! Ooh! His ears perked up and he turned his head in the direction that the sound was coming from. He peeped loudly in reply, making little whirling noises too, in some sort of faint attempt at communicating."Hehe, don't worry, in due time you'll be able to talk." She stretched out a paw and patted the chick's head lightly. "I'm Aeryn, by the way, it's very nice to meet you." The spotty hippogryph sat upon the ground and flickered her tail about. "And the one who sat on your head is called Lia."Phastos peeped again, as if to agree with what he had just been told, even though he didn't particularly understand what this 'Aeryn' had just said. He tiptoed forward, closer to her, sniffing around a bit. A little too close, apparently, as a piece of fur or fluff or even a piece of grass tickled his nose just enough, making him sneeze and tumble backwards! With quite the bewildered look on his face, he shook his head and righted himself, peeping happily.Aeryn, on cue, was about to reach out to grab hold onto the chick but backed out as soon as he returned to his original position. How cute! She smiled some and nuzzled the tiny hippogryph's belly, wondering whether it had eaten recently. Dizzy, much to Lia's thanks, had stopped running about and skittered off to sit behind its owner's bum. A Good Laugh Laughter was old enough to wander the center now! But only in a designated spot his parents had placed him in while they rested nearby to keep watch on their children. The brown chick wiggled in its position and sniffed at the foreign air. It was so fresh and nice! He chirped in excitement as he took his first few slow crawls into the strange environment. One inch, two, three... This was exciting! He thought in his little, tiny head. Ack! What was that! Laughter jumped as something ticklish swiped his cheek, it felt kinda wet too. Turning his 'offensive' mode on, the chick wagged his butt to and fro, as if he was ready to pounce on his attacker; a harmless flower."Hm hm hm." Our friendly Aeryn was seen skipping down a pathway to nowhere, humming a joyful tune while her meery... pets were following behind. Her head was way up high and her wings were folded neatly behind her in an elegant manner. Now that she was just a few suns away from being an adult, the hippogryph was extremely happy! Although one day that bothered her was, the other gryphs were asking whether she has found anyone yet. Anyone meaning a male partner. As sheepish as she could, Aeryn would shake her head and tried to change the topic. Afterall, her mind wasn't set on that direction. Not really. "Ble- Ack!" Her eyes met a flash of brown. 'Yah yah yah yah!', was what he would have said, if he was able to speak, when Laughter leaped from the ground a good meter or two, which was amazing for a chick, and grabbed onto the attacker, clinging onto it tightly. 'Haha!' He squeaked in victory and that lasted for a second when he was immediately removed and then hung in mid air. Looks like the battle has turned around and now he was wrestling to be free from the clutches of the evil one! Very much unknown, the 'evil one' was bigger, stronger and obviously Laughter wasn't go anywhere but he wasn't going to give up. His father, the great Nobleheart, never gave up!Tilting her head to one side, Aeryn just stared at what she had held up with her paw. A baby gryph! A colorful faced baby gryph with a lot of spunk. She wasn't really sure why he had hugged her tail but he was certainly very cute. "I'm not going to hurt you. It's okay!" She realized that the chick had been up in the air for too long and quickly placed him back onto the ground. Hoping that she didn't hurt the little one, Aeryn searched for any traces of injury by gently moving it around. Before she knew it, the chick curled into a ball and squeaked. Oooookay. It definately wasn't a gryph toy since she could smell life in him. So... Yup. He turned into a ball as soon as that spot was touched. Hm... What now? Laughter stayed silent and refused to move, AT ALL. Curse the need to breath though, or else he could easily pass off as a round brown thing in the middle of a dirt path. As he thought about it, the chick waited for a while and tried to sense what the other was up to. She didn't seem harmful, and by the tone of her voice it appeared so. Maybe. And so, Laughter started to roll backwards and with the amazing strength of its tiny little paws, he did a hand stand! Before falling back, causing a cloud of dust to form around him.Blink. Blink...
Wait for it...
"AW! HOW CUTE!"
There we go.
And so our day ends with Aeryn playing with Laughter and laughing happily at his little tricks he could do. Practice made perfect and he just loved to hear other people's laughter for a change. Of course he enjoyed his parents' and his sisters' too. It was really encourgaging nevertheless and made him want to do even more tricks! Maybe someday he will be able to do the world good and spread a good laugh around. It would join everyone in harmony and his parents would be proud of him if he could accomplish that!

Adolescent Stage Roleplay with Guinivere~ Guin hopped around the field. Lilith had been upset last time that she had gone without her, but she had done it again. Lilith would probably be really mad this time, but Guin couldn't wait! She wanted to find Mushu and show off how she had grown.
"Helloooooo?" she called excitedly. "Anybody heerree?"With her eyes closed, Aeryn sat by the side of a rock and listened to the ruffles of bush and tree leaves. It was quite unlikely of her to be just sitting there since... she just loved to move, bounce and skip. Oh well, she was all grown up so her childish self has probably been disappearing bit by bit. Though, was that a good thing or not?
Then a call knocked her back to reality as she swiftly turned her head towards whomever it was. It was another hippogryph! A younger one. "Hello?"
Lia, as always, was awaken from its slumber and chittered in annoyance. Not another one!Guin tilted her head to the side, peering at the brightly colored gryph. "Oooh," she said, quietly, admiring the other. "Umm, hi," she said, a bit more bashful this time. "I'm looking for Mushu, he's very bright red and probably being very lazy. Have you seen him around?"
She trotted over to the gryph and sat down, licking her fur, suddenly feeling a little selfconsious, wishing she had more color. She blinked and thought quietly for a moment before speaking again, shaking her head from left to right. "Mushu? I... don't think I have seen anyone bright red or lazy. In fact, I haven't seen anyone around this area lately except for you." Aeryn giggled. It was true, she had been sitting there for a good hour! Perhaps everyone else was snacking now or making their way home.
"Might you need help looking for this Mushu?" Since she wasn't exactly doing anything right now, the hippogryph figured she might as well help if need be.Guinivere wagged her head from side to side. "No, if you haven't seen him around, he's probably not here," she said sadly. "Oh well, I'll have to show off some other time." She sighed, then perked up.
"But it's always nice to meet someone new!" she chirped. "I'm Guinivere. I have a twin brother and his name is Lancelot, but he's not here right now."Show off? Aeryn grew a little curious about what this white and black gryph was going to show off to her red friend. "Pleasure to meet you Guinivere, it's a lovely name. I'm Aeryn and this is Lia." She gestured towards the horsefly on top of the rock. It just chittered in response and looked unamused. "Pardon her, she isn't so social at first but she will eventually loosen up." It wasn't really Lia's fault to be that way. She has had bad experiences of being sat on by strangers and who would liked that?
"And you said you have a twin brother? Interesting, I haven't seen any twins before... I suppose he has the same colors as you?"Guin giggled. "Oh! She looks kind of like Cri Kee, Mushu's bug thing.." The younger gryph tilted her head and blinked. "Aeryn," she said, stumbling a littlle on the word. "That's a funny name!" She blushed. "I mean, It's not funny bad, but it's funny different,"
The black and white gryph bounced at the mention of her brother. "Oh, no! He's different from me!" She opened her eyes really wide. "He's black and the same color brown as my eyes!" Here, she giggled. "Lydia, Lancelots human, says we look just like Milk and Chocolate Milk. Although, I'm not quite sure what those are..."Aeryn couldn't help but laugh at Guin's comment and nodded her head, noting that it was quite alright about calling her name funny. She too had problems saying her own name when her care taker was teaching her how to speak quite some time ago. The hippogryph even complained about why she couldn't get a simpler name like her other friends.
"I see. Perhaps I'll be able to meet your brother the next time." She found the child's enthusiasm quite adorable and that made her smile even wider. Then one of the words made her pause for a second. "Human?" Her tone lowered as she showed curiousity. Aeryn has heard of humans before, but they were mixed stories of whether such beings were harmful or good."Oh yes, Lance and I come up here all the time! With Lydia and Lilith most of the time, too. Lilith is my human." She shifted her weight, feeling a bit guilty. "I came up here without her, cuz I wanted to show Mushu I had grown, but Lil didn't see me leave."
"Well, yeah, Humans," she said, puzzled at Aeryn's curiosity. "My Lilith is really cute! She had bright orange hair, and so does Lydia. Oh! And Lydia is her twin sister. Isn't that funny? Twins caring for twins?" She didn't define which set was caring for which. "And Lilith always gives me food and she pets me and lets me sleep on this big soft thing she calls a bed!" Guin laughed. "And she's always getting in trouble because she's muddy and torn her dress-thing and climbing trees even thoug she's not allowed to. She's lots smaller then the ones she calls her 'parents' but I think it's because she's a child human." Guin was talking a mile a minute, obviously thrilled to describe her human in full detail.Humans actually go to the Center? Woah, that made her even more confused. If they really did then... why hasn't she seen one anywhere? Or was told anything apart from stories which she couldn't even tell if they were true. Eh. The world is a strange, strange place.
Watching Guin closely, she was quite amazed at the child's explaination and her expression. So her brother had a human too? Hm. "Your Lilith sounds like she cares for you a lot." Aeryn wanted to go in deeper but she was afraid of hurting the gryph feelings and she hated doing things like that. "So... if your Lilith actually finds that you have gone somewhere without telling her, I assume she will go off looking for you?" She wondered about a human kid just running around, calling out Guin's name while the older hippogryphs eyed her suspiciously.Guin avoided Aeryn's gaze uncomfortably. "Ah..no...she won't... exactly come looking for me." She sighed and took a deep breath. "You see, she can't come find me." The younger gryph shook her head, feeling worse by the minute. "Yes, Lil takes care of me lots and lots, but..." she hesitated, feeling her face burn. "I help her too. I help her get around. The big humans say she's 'blind' which means she can't see anything," she explained, in case the wild gryph didn't know.
"Lydia calls me a Seeing Eye Gyrph, I...I think it's a joke, because there are things called Seeing Eye Dogs..." Guin laughed nervously, trying to ignore the sick feeling in her stomach. She had left Lilith all alone once before, but she had been younger and her conscience, it seemed, hadn't developed til just now. She was just starting to realize how bad it was to leave the wild little girl by herself. Guin didn't know where Lancelot and Lydia were.Lia blinked. :Yes it was listening: Aeryn blinked too at the child's reply and was about to ask why until her own question was answered, in a slightly different and not so pleasing way. Guin's owner could not see? How terrible! It is sad to hear that someone could not enjoy mother nature's creation and colors, even for a human!
"Ah... but since there are 'Seeing Eye Dogs', I'm sure you were picked for a reason and you have a responsibility to look after her as she looks after you. You both sound like you make a good team." Why did you run off if your Lilith needs you to see for her? The hippogryph wanted to ask her but it was none of her business and it was obvious Guin did feel bad, just by her body language. But durely even if Guin was at a young age, she should know the consequences of such acts. "Perhaps you should return home soon, Lilith might be afraid you have disappeared. Would you not feel the same way if she went off without telling you?""Well...I mean, I wasn't picked to see for her, it just sort of, happened that way. I liked leading her around, and she didn't mind me leading her and poking her with my nose to show her the way." Guin paused, thinking about how mad Lilith would get when a stranger tried to help out.
She sighed again, feeling more miserable. "I guess I wouldn't know what to do if Lil disappeared. But...I was so excited about being bigger! I wanted to show Mushu I'm not just a little pig." She raised her head to look up at the older gryph. "But I guess I should go home now, he's not here and I've already left Lil long enough." She bounced a few feet towards home, then turned back and smiled. "It was nice to meet you, Aeryn! I hope I see you again, and next time, you can meet my Lilith and see what humans are really like!" She bounded off towards the town, hopping Lilith wasn't too worried yet.Aah. "I see, so it's fate that you two met!" Aeryn patted Guin on the head gently. She believed in fate, after hearing all those wise, old speeches from a den mother. What happens happens right? But there were ways of advoiding certain things by taking the other road. Like hurting yourself by disturbing a bee! Just don't go near it.
Nodding her head, she smiled at the child's decision and stood onto her four paws, "Perhaps you'll be able to see Mushu another day. And then you can show how much you have grown.~" She replied in a motherly way. As Aeryn was about to head off in her own direction, she looked back as Guin called out and smiled. "It was nice to meet you too! I'll be looking forward to it."

Adolescent Stage Roleplay with Grumpy~ Another big day for another fun time out in the greeny center! Taking off from the edge of a cliff, Aeryn expanded her wings to their limits and soared downwards to the ground, enjoying the wind that was blasting against her. Her hair danced widly in all directions, and poked her eyes a few times. Anyway. It was great to be able to fly like that, like all the other adult hippogryphs who competed with each other to see who was the fastest. She remembered her past experiences of not even being able to touch the branch of a tiny tree! And how Lia tried to teach her to fly. That day was actually quite awkward... Note to self, never let her be an instructor for anything except for finding berries.
Once the dirt path was in sight, she folded her wings just slightly and allowed the wind to carry her till she was on all fours. "Well! That was nice." Aeryn exclaimed happily as she trotted off to nowhere. She didn't really decide on going to the river, or to the flower patch, or to... yeah.Grumpy was hanging out under a tree. He had been fairly lucky in finding this particular tree for it was full of fresh green apples, which happen to be one of his favorite things to eat. A few cores were nearby as he was resting contently against the trunk of the tree; he had obviously eaten them.
A belch escapes his throat and he chuckles to himself. "Pardon me." Even if no one was around it was always polite to say that anyway! La la la.. Ee? While Aeryn was strolling down the pathway, she wasn't expecting to hear a... blech since trees don't really make any noise, nor do the tiny insects around.
Looking back and forth, she saw a familiar blue hippogryph underneath a tree and immediately squealed, heading towards him with a very large smile. "Grumpy! Hi there!" It had been quite some time since she saw him and look how much he was grown! What was he... oh, he was snacking on apples. Those are good.~The peace and quiet he had was interrupted by another presence. He lifts his head up to see a familiar Gryph, though one he had not seen in quite some time. What was her name again?
"Hello." "Hehe.~ How are you! I can't believe how long it has been! You have grown soooo much! But still as blue as ever!" Way to state the obvious. She giggled and padded over to his side, checking the ground before taking a seat there. What a great day! Aeryn was able to meet an old friend! If he still remembered her that is... but she pushed the thought away."I'm all right. What about you?" He was trying to wrack his brain to remember what her name was but it wasn't coming to him. Maybe he could just keep on going pretending he knows it.
He looks around as she sits and grabs an apple with his teeth by its stem, offering it to her.
"Hungry?" "I'm good! Really happy and all, as usual.~" Her tail swiped at the leaves behind her while she spoke, forming a little green hill and a acorn to top it off. It collasped in a few seconds after. She turned around and giggled at her failed creation.
As she looked back, Aeryn blinked at the fruit. "Oh! Thank you!" She tilted her head in a way so her teeth grabbed and sunk into the bottom part of the apple before taking it into her mouth, whole. Mm.~ "Fwis gs yurmay.""I can tell," he had replied with a smile. He wasn't in a grouchy mood. That was nice.
He releases the apple as soon as she takes it, watching her and unable to help but laugh.
"Yeah it is." The spotty gryph was quite content eating the apple away, though as soon as she heard Grumpy laugh, Aeryn blushed slightly. It was rude to speak with your mouth full. Oops.
She kept on chewing, rolling the fruit in her mouth and eventually reached the core. Instead of spitting it out, Aeryn just bit onto it, swallowed then raised her paw to remove the stem before placing it in front of her for her own amusement. "So! What have you been up to?"He watches, not seeming to really notice that it had been rude to talk with her mouth full. Everyone does it.
"Not a lot," he answers, turning away.
He slides down along the tree, getting more comfortable. He looked almost like a human in the way he sits, setting his forelegs over his stomach.
"You?" Her mouth formed an 'o' and then closed. Observing quietly, she wondered about his new position, was it comfy? It must be... looks a little wierd though. Aeryn decided to try it out and trotted to the other side of the tree. "Taking care of the younger gryphies, and my new pet.~ Making new friends, that sort!"
Wiggling her bum, she sat herself right in front of the trunk and slid down... Bump! Apparently the gryph slid a bit too much and ended up having her head on the ground and her backlegs up in the air. "Eheh.."
