Someone please tell me how far the dvds of Fruits Baskets contuies , as I have a set thingy with 4 dvds inside and being me watched them all to day
4laugh
But anyway ... please dont tell me it stops with them all going home after the talk with Akito, after Tohru has seen Kyo 's true form... that, that is the end of the story on dvds.
It cant be !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some one tell me there will be more please !

No, it was made that way as propaganda for the manga. It ends in such a way that you must then get the manga to end the story. Takaya and the Director have both said that they will not be working on the anime any more due to the flaws with the plot and a number of other reasons.

well they dont have to go exactly the right order...plus there are some women with deep voices..i dont really see a problem..but whatever..i would much rather have the anime continue though...oh well.

Shyao_Sorceress well they dont have to go exactly the right order...plus there are some women with deep voices..i dont really see a problem..but whatever..i would much rather have the anime continue though...oh well. But there were scenes where you saw Akito's robe open in the anime, enough so that you could see it was a man. That's where they made their first mistake and Takaya doesn't want to work on it anymore.

Yea, the anime only has 26 epsiodes. To see more Fruits Basket you'll have to get the manga. Which isn't a bad thing, cause the manga is really good. 3nodding I know people want to see a second season of Fruits Basket, but as it been said here already, there probably never will be.
So, sorry Littlemissdevil, but the anime ends where it ends. :/

But they said they are going to work on a second series right now...my friend saw the cast of Fruits Basket in a anime expo looking for props for the new series..

Takaya and the director have both said they're not going to work on it anymore. The director also said that from the start a second series was never planned.

Well, there are only 4 DVDs, and that's it. If you want to find out what happens next and stuff, the only way to find out is through the Manga. In the manga, Tohru actually never goes to Akito's house in the first place. They just wanted to end the anime sooner.

No that's wrong. sweatdrop The anime was made when only 8 volumes were out, they can't make more of whats not there, its not that they wanted to end it early that was all that was planned to be made. It was only a teaser for the manga so they only done the 26 crappy episodes, which ultimately failed as the majority hated the anime.

But Akito being male in the anime isn't the reason they don't want to do anymore so it wouldn't make much difference either way but it would've been nice to see if they could make it more like the manga. At least we've got the extra fan books.
