I keep a journal. I write, rants, letters to people that I've no intention of sending, and poems. It's actually quite healthy and therapeutic (SP?)
So I ask you, dear BP guild:
Do you keep a journal, and does it help you in any way.
And if not, why?

Yes, I keep a journal, and it helps me a lot. I write everything in it. It's wonderful.

I used to. I have seven or so journals just hanging around, and I was thinking about it the other day and how I don't have one now, and why.
I don't know why. I guess in part because it held less of my pain than I wished it would, and it just now occured to me that when I didn't write in my journals, I would self-injure instead. Anything to break the whirlwind of pain, I suppose.
I want to pick one up again. I want to bring my world alive in a myriad of colors. I want to believe in myself again.
In other news, I just took 200mg of Lamictil, and am waiting desperately for the damn stuff to kick in.
My sister's home and bitching about everything--how it's supposed to be our fault that she moved out and now has no income and has to pay for her own crap; how I'm just a naive little brat without looks or brains; how it's my mother's fault that there aren't 500 hand-sewn rhinestones on the dress she wants to wear for prom.
I hate her SO much right now.
xd I totally turned this into a mini-journal entry.

I keep a journal..and my friend who's bipolar likes to journal. It helps her a lot when she does just to get everything out. Then she can reread it and realize things aren't as bad as they seem.

About your sister- Shave her head while she's sleeping. Or just one of her eyebrows. Or put her hand in a bowl of warm water. Then sit back and watch the show when morning comes! biggrin xd

I treat Gaia like my journal. If I have a rant I fcan usually find a topic about what'ss under my skin...somewhere. I rant, then I when someone coments, I rant some more. When I feel bad, I find a topic where someone has something similiar going on, and I show support and empathize.
Gaia is like my own little group therapy session, where noone realizes they are involved in my therapy...
I think I am going to start using my profile journal.
