The Secret Life of Akito Ah, the most myserious of the Sohmas. Full of secrets waiting to be releavled! twisted They didn't really get to do much to Akito in the anime, but the manga is really doing all that the anime did not! Here is where everyone can post some super spoilers about our "beloved" Akito and ask questions that we dont know but others might. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* If you have a fact you might not be sure is true, post it and see what other's think. Also, If you've heard some bizzare, out of this world "spoilers" that is obviously not true, but hilariously funny, you can post that, too. (I myself have heard some pretty stupid stuff about Akito and the other Sohmas as well. And I have to anounce:YUKI IS NOT A CROSSDRESSER. THE PICTURE OF HIM IN A SCHOOLDRESS WAS HARU'S FAULT! T.T *see Fruits Basket Volume Four page 32))
Last, "story telling" is allowed. By "story telling", i DONT mean "KYO AND YUKI MADE OUT IN THE BOYS BATHROOM!" or "HARU CAUSED A STAMPEDE ON A FARM, KILLED A CHICKEN, AND ATE YUKI!" I mean something like "When I found out [insert disturbing fact about Akito here], I screamed so loud I woke up the whole house and my dog was barking!"
Because we all know Kyo and Yuki would never even touch eachother in a loving manner and Haru would never....ah, well, he would... sweatdrop nevermind that!
By the way, I don't like PMs of people complaining. So just don't ok? Only if some extreme porno comes up or if a Yuki roleplayer comes in. ninja BEWARE razz OSSIBLE SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINTHave fun! 4laugh

Ok, here's a MAJOR spoiler:
Alright, im 99% sure this is true because someone who read way beyond me told me this and this alot of others have told me this too:
AKITO IS A WOMAN!
I first figured this out while talking to a chashier at Hot Topic. At the time, I had....well....*is afraid* liked Akito more than I should have. sweatdrop Then the cashier had broke to me that HE is actually a SHE....Well, I started screaming, crying, laughing a little, and was TOTALLY blown away.
Beware to all Akito lovers:If you are either a woman that is straight or a guy that isnt turned on by he/she's, i suggest you get OUT of the world of Akito and INTO the world of....well, anyone besides Yuki, i dont care. MY YUKI!

You can be 100% certain because she is actually a woman. You find out in volume 17 chapter 97.
I can pretty much give you Akito's entire history that is not based upon rumors/websites etc but actual proof from the manga.
Perhaps we could turn this thread into Akito's life story? It'd be good for people who hate the poor girl.
When it comes to posting "spoilers" on this website people seem to come up with the most awful rumors. xp

Akito = frog ninja Yes but thats because Kyo doesn't know Akito is a woman. Only Kureno, Hatori, Ayame and Shigure know her secret because of the dream they had when she was first concieved. The others weren't alive then so didn't know and Ren raised her as a man from birth so they just had to keep it a secret and use "he/him/his" like everyone else did. They even do it with each other in case someone hears them.

I don't see how Akito can be a women though.
In the anime and some manga, his kimono is positioned so you can see his shirt and they're are no boobs just his chest x.X

In the anime and some manga, his kimono is positioned so you can see his shirt and they're are no boobs just his chest x.X Well in the anime she was assumed to be a man so they did have the anime Akito as male. In the manga though you never see the kimono open more than a small gap, it was never enough to actually see if she had them bound. Plus just a side note but it you think about it she's not worn a bra for her entire life so they aren't going to look so great and they're kinda small too. With the top of the kimono open slightly they're kinda too low down and too small to see. >< She's not going to have a cleavage.

I could see akito as a woman even though I havent read the manga at all cause I mean she wears a pink kimono on the last episode I know guys wear pink now a days but still no guy would wear that color of pink

EVIL_KITTEN_LORD I could see akito as a woman even though I havent read the manga at all cause I mean she wears a pink kimono on the last episode I know guys wear pink now a days but still no guy would wear that color of pink That was just what colour they did for the anime, she actually normally wears white and red. The anime assumed it was a man because no one knew about Takaya's twist at the time so that reasoning doesn't really work. ^^;

Yup! And of course she's sleeping with Kureno, and I'm not 100% sure, but didn't she do it to get back at Shigure for sleeping with Ren?

She only slept with Kureno once before the series started. Shigure slept with Ren because she slept with Kureno. sweatdrop

MAJOR SPOILER:
In chapter 129-130 of Fruits Basket the entire curse is lifted ^^
And Kyo and Tohru are all "I LOOOOOVE YOUUUUU" And then Ayame was all "Miine I was bron to love you and now I can tell you" and it was so cute. ^^
