We all have weaknesses in us and I'm glad you posted a really long extract.
First of all I like to point out that it's true that we have stored all sinful and unfruitful things in our lives. Joshua Harris has pointed it out constructively by metaphorically showed that our mind is a room full of undiscerned files.
Secondly, it is an endless cycle of these files, day to day we are exposed to the nature of sin and we can't get it out ourselves.
Thirdly, all the things listed there are things we all struggle with and no one can help us out except for Jesus. By discarding them and replacing God's sources in that library in a breakthough and everyday we are working with Him to rearrange our ways to His ways.
