You can ONLY voice chat with people who are on your friend roster. I've tried it when I played online, but it didn't say "hold X to talk"

I'm pretty disappointed with Nintendo. I mean really, What the hell! Not only did they fail at having voice chat IN-GAME, they also have it friend only! I also think that this game doesn't support friend codeness, because I never read anything in the manual that talked about friend codes.

yeah it talks about friend codes on there. it's not a lot, though. mostly, "this symbol means friends, and this means rivals."

It's not that bad. Nintendo is just starting to get into the online world after all.

if you could voicechat anybody the game would go to an M rating faster than you could say 'F*#* you trace-user!' and nintendo likes to stay as family-friendly as they can
