Welcome to 50-Hour Arcade!

Here at the Arcade, we are devoted to talking about video games. Mostly RPGs, hence the 50-hour part, but just about any video game is OK.

The rules here are pretty simple:

1. Respect the rights of others.

If this sounds too easy, that's because it mostly is. If you need guidance, remember the basics: if you wouldn't want someone else to do it to you, don't do it to them. Treat others the way you want to be treated. This rule covers pretty much everything from flaming to trolling to art theft to Gaia's ToS to just being an a*****e. It is intentionally broad and will stay that way.

2. If you have any problems with other people or with guild policy that you cannot resolve by yourself, please feel free to bring the problem to the captain or crew. We don't bite. Unless asked. wink

3. Being on-topic is very good. Being off-topic is good too, in the designated areas. Spamming is permitted only in the designated areas.

4. Please post legibly and understandably. 1337speak is fun as a joke, but not for everyday use. Try to use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation to the best of your ability. We know nobody's perfect, so don't be too worried about messing up, just do what you can. Also, some font colors and sizes are difficult to read, particularly tiny sizes in light colors. Feel free to use colored fonts, but if someone asks you to change it because it's hard to read, please respect that.

5. Banning. I hate talking about that, but sometimes it has to happen. Basically, to avoid banning, follow the rules and don't keep doing things the staff tells you not to do. You will be warned before you are banned, unless there are serious extenuating circumstances (hacking or fraud on Gaia is grounds for immediate banning, for example). If you repeat actions the staff has asked you not to do, you will be banned. So play fair and don't make me get out the ban hammer. I don't like doing it. OK?
