When Sailor Moon appeared, it spurred thousands of ideas amongst the artist population of Japan. A new genre of anime and manga was created - it was known as Magical Girls.
So what animes and mangas do you know of that are like Sailor Moon? Chat about them here 3nodding

Magical Girl Pretty Sammy-- It started out as a small spoof episode with the cast of Tenchi Muyo for characters. In it the main character, Sasami recieves powers from her talking cabbit (half cat/half rabbit) and transforms into Pretty Sammy to, well, fight evil. It was actually very cute, though in the episode that I saw, she never got to do much other than getting Ryoko and Ayeka to become friends, very close wink friends. From there Pretty Sammy got it's own OVA and tv series'.
The OVA and TV series' took themselfs more seriously and weren't as blatent parodies. In these series' Tsunami, a candidate to become the queen of Juraihelm, chooses Sasami to do good deeds a maintain peace.

Then there's Wedding Peach. That is so a rip off of SM, it hurts. Of course, I've only read part of the first one, but that was enough to know. Of course, the one you mentioned sounds pretty blatent too.

Tokyo Mew Mew- It is completly based on Sailor Moon. The costumes. The close frienships. Batling enimies from another world. magical powers. The whole works. Including the leader being inlove with the Blue Knight. Come on complete Tuxedo Mask/ Moonlight Knight written all over it.
I highly recomend both reading Tokyo mew mew Tokyo Mew Mew A La Mode (after the original finishes, only 2 manga) and watching the show. The japanese one not the North American one called Mew Mew Power or whatever they are calling it rolleyes

Ok, let's try an abstract one. One that isn't a blatant parody/knockoff. Hmm...
The one that comes straight to my mind is The Winx Club. Can't tell you why.
Anyway, it's clearly a power girl anime. It's a American Animator Creation so it dosn't have a manga and it's kinda lame with the corioagphy. But it definelty has some Moony roots with how the girls "transform" when they want to fight evil.

Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch
An offbeat anime that has yet to hit the viewers of America. You can watch the first 31 episodes on YouTube with subtitles. This anime, to me, seems to be a clash of the classic fairy tale The Little Mermaid and the magical girl genre. Great music, adorable henshin outfits, and a few cute guys. Definitely worth checking out 3nodding

Shojo I was planning to watch Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch but then I found the episodes to Tsubasa Chronicle. That and I have to finish PGSM. Dam there are to many diffent shows I have to watch and not enough time. So I am going to have to borrow some of Z's Lain powers and get the time to watch all the shows I ned to in the time I have xd

You've already seen it Maat. You just don't remember. If no one remembers it can be the same as if it never happened at all. It's a good thing you don't remember what you did after you watched it.
