Aaagh! I don't get it! gonk Are the Sailor Stars male or female? gonk I saw the last 2 episodes of the Sailor Stars season in Japanese with english subtitiles but I still don't know what gender they are. crying

I don't get it! gonk Are the Sailor Stars male or female? gonk I saw the last 2 episodes of the Sailor Stars season in Japanese with english subtitiles but I still don't know what gender they are. crying Ah, a classic question 3nodding They are female. The reason being that they were sailor senshi to begin with. They originally were from the planet that Princess Firefly (or Kakyuu, as some know her) is from. Here, they protected her as senshi. As far as any fan knows about the Sailor Moon universe, all senshi are female. When the Starlights came to Earth, they were forced to take up disguises, and for some unknown reason - they chose to be male. My personal belief is that they thought that being male meant they were stronger, meaning that they could find the princess in such a way by making her think they could protect her better. The only male senshi that exists is Tuxedo mask. Yes he is a senshi. He is the senshi of Earth. He is the only exception to the only-female senshi thing.

Ambassador Of Peace Kind of. sweatdrop So, um, why did one of the starlights like Sailor Moon, in a way that is more than a friend? surprised eek Naoko wasn't exactly shy about the entire sexual orientation issues. The main reason in the manga though, was that Usagi reminded Seiya of his/her Princess... and for some reason, especially when he got a whiff of her sweatdrop

LittlePinky82 Hi all. First of all I'm new here so I don't think I've introduced myself. I'm 23 and a college student from Tn. My brother is the one who got me into Japanese anime. I mostly like "Sailor Moon," "Tenchi," and "Card Capture Sakhura." My question is on Luna and Artemis. When they were on the Moon kingdom with Princess Serenity were they cats? I know they're supposed to look after Serenity but what's the deal with them. Are they just friends? And why does Artemis stay with Minako? Oh and do Luna and Artemis ever get involved? Thanks in advanced.

As proof, I offer Diana, the little grey kitten that "belongs" to Chibi Usa. If I recall correctly, she calls Luna and Artimis 'Mama and Daddy' (or some veriation there of), so it's obvious they are her parents. And they couldn't have a kitten if they didn't get involved, if even for a short time, now could they? As for the 'sexual orientation' thing, Shoujo is dead on. There were a few other gays in the show that got changed when it was dubbed. Zoicite and Malichite were gay lovers (Zoicite is a MAN, not a woman), Fish Eye is gay, though HE has no lover that we know of, and Neptune and Uranus are LOVERS, not cousins. (sorry for any mis spelled names)

Oh acctally Luna is the guardian of Usagi, Artemis is the guardian of Minako and Dianna is the guardian of Chibi-Usa. That is their duty. Artemis stays with Minako for that reason. I hope this helps you out a bit.

When I read the Manga with Sailor Tin Nyanko about their planet Mau I kinda thought they were humaniod until they became guides. Like Phobos and Deimos (I know they are spelled wrong) are Rei's guides. That's just me though! wink

Didn't Tin Nyanko want to become Sailor Mau, that's why she stole sailor Mau's crystal, right. But then she decided that she wanted to get revenge on Luna and Artemis for abbandoning Sailor Mau in the first place.
....I think that's what she said, or something like that. Unless that's something I subconciously made up.

But then she decided that she wanted to get revenge on Luna and Artemis for abbandoning Sailor Mau in the first place. ....I think that's what she said, or something like that. Unless that's something I subconciously made up.
But you gotta wonder why Luna and Artemis left their homeworld. Was their dutty to Sailor Venus and Princess Selenity really that important. But oh well I guess it doesn't reallly matter that much. these are just things that all of us probably would like to know.

I think of everything I would want to know more about the Silver Millinium the most. How it all started everything started. That would be so interesting. I still want to read Codename: Sailor V since it has some of it in there. Then maybe we would understand better! lol wink
