I like fantasy/adventure stories, and I have LOADS of favourite authors.....Anthony Horowitz, Lemony Snicket, Paul Stewart/Chris Riddell, Eoin Colfer and more....I can't remember them all!!! rofl

My favourite books are Artemis Fowl, The Series of Unfortunate Events, Eragon, Alex Rider, Tales of the Otori, and loads more! Once again, I can't remember them all!!!!! whee

ooh! i heart artemis fowl! ^^ ummm...i like robert jordan's earlier books (but only if you're willing to read for a looong time), libba bray (who i might be able to see in 2 weeks!!), amelia atwater-rhodes, jane austen, and i could go on forever but i'll end with terry pratchett and douglas adams. ;P

i'd definitely recommend a great and terrible beauty by libba bray if you like victorian-set fantasy-ish stuff. and references to classic literature in the beginning. it's fun! ^^

I've been very into the Harry Potter books lately. x] I've recently finished the fifth one and I'm reading the sixth. x]
Oh, and I love Roald Dahl's books too. x]

d00d! i love roald dahl! i haven't read his stuff in ages! ^^ of course, hp is always to be read. ;P i've read every book at least twice, except the 6th, because it made me mad.

I don't really like the hp books or films, I find them rather boring - especially the 5th and 6th books. the 5th one is filled with rubbish about ron eating girls faces and harry falling in love with ginny - nothing to write a book about - and the 6th is just generally quite boring xp
roald dahl is good though, and very creative!!!! 3nodding

y'know, this might sound strange, but good for you. at least you've read/watched them(you did, didn't you?) before deciding you didn't like them. ^^
yesh. verreh much so. smile
have you read inkheart by cornelia funke? it's pretty fun, for someone who's read more than a few books.
also, hunter's moon is a good one if you like the idea of fairies not being little cutesy beings who sit on buttercups all day-they're beautiful and dangerous in this book. and it's set in ireland, which totally rocks.
