I havnt been given any drugs from the docs yet, but I sometimes to other drugs to get away from my head as I say. Then I smoke pot, get drunk and take pills of all kinds.
Gonna get drunk to night...

I refuse to take drugs. Even if they wanted me to take them.
If I have mental issues, I'll fix them myself, mentally.
Even if they are caused by awkward chemical imbalances.

knuckle_toes I refuse to take drugs. Even if they wanted me to take them. If I have mental issues, I'll fix them myself, mentally. Even if they are caused by awkward chemical imbalances. that's pretty much how I've been... though I'm drawing unnervingly close to trying something, 'cause it just keeps getting worse and worse...

When I was 16, my French teacher pestered my mother into taking me to the family physician to get me a basic antidepressant. rolleyes Whee, six months of Zoloft, and all I had to show for it was a slightly altered balance of mania versus depression. Apparently Madame either wasn't worried about the mania or didn't notice. I felt sorry for Dr. D, he's supposed to deal with things like strep throat and marbles stuck up little kids' noses, not mental disorders.
Nowadays, I pretty much stick to ye olde beer during the worst times when I'm at home. If I'm not at home, then whatever alcohol happens to be closest. Last time I felt the need was on my fiance's birthday sad and the nearest thing was tequila. gonk

It shoudl be your choice and if you do you should make sure your doc knows all of it.

I would take MDMA (ecstasy) to deal with the depression and s**t but that didn't work and so they put me on seroquel and it wasn't working so I'm back on the MDMA. I have an appointment with my doctor on friday so we'll see what else they'll put me on so I can stop with the MDMA.
I think there should be a website listing drug interactions between legal prescription ones and illegal ones. From what I've seen people with mental issues are more likely to be taking the illegal drugs (self medicating) so they should definatly have a site listing the interactions.
From personal experience, anti-psychotics don't have bad interactions with serotonin altering drugs, but don't work as well with drugs that ******** with dopamine. But when you're on anti-depressants its good to stay away from seratonin altering drugs.

My sister is on crack, I don't like that, at all. I wish she would just like, stop with that, but oh well. As long as she's reasonably safe, I guess its okay. MDMA is of course dangerous, but particularly when mixed with perscription drugs, just be careful.
