First off, welcome to the guildpage of the Warrior Monks Guild. Our guild has been around ever since Gaia online started up and have been lurking around ever since. This guild is open to anyone that wishes to join, however there is a guideline I wish for all new recruits to follow when applying. To join: Make a new thread with your filled application form, or send a join request.

Special note: If your character is unacceptable due to cetian details in thier bio/backstory (example. Your character is invincible/a god), you will not get accepted.

Application Format

Name: Your character's name. This is a roleplay guild, therefore if you wish to use a different name from your username then type in your character's name here, with your username in parentheses.

Monk Title: This has been a tradition ever since we first started back in Febuary 2k3. A monk title is a title you pick for yourself as you enter the guild. It can be anything you want, but please be appropriate. I say this because I don't want a whole bunch of "Chosen One"'s running around the guild. (If you are going to do something very general like 'the Chosen One', please try to make it original like 'The Chosen one of Fire'). The most common monk title formats are: She/He who is ___, The ___, ___ Monk.

Bio: Anything that you'd like us to know about your character, as well as any features your character would have (like a scar here or wings or whatnot). This can be divided into several sections such as age, birthplace, measurements, personal tastes, etc.

Backstory: Now I don't want a whole novel about your character. You backstory should be relatively short and detailed, but nothing too simple.

Fighting Style: This can be either a real style or something totally made up.

Weapon: The weapon your character uses. If he/she does not use a weapon, just type in 'none' or N/A.

Special Techniques: This is optional. Here you can list and describe certain techniques or skills that your character can perform. Again, this can be real techniques or totally made up.


SAMPLE APPLICATION

Name: Warrior Monk

Monk Title: He who has just begun

Bio: A traditional Shaolin Monk from the old country. He is easily distinguished with his yellow and orange monk robes, as well as a perfectly shaved bald head. He is 6' tall and weighs about 170 lbs. He is kind, and knows several forms of healing arts.

Backstory: Born in hidden village in China, he has no memory of his childhood. He trains to become strong, in order to defeat his childhood rival Kojiroh, whom has become a great general of a Japanese army. During his travels he assists villages to defend from bandits and aid the sick.

Fighting Style: Shaolin Kung Fu

Weapon: None

Special Techniques:
Monk's Fist: A punch that can blow back an enemy to a far distance. Commonly used to gain some distance between himself and his foe.

Pheonix Talon: A dive kick that resembles a bird snatching it's prey in it's talons.

GETTING ACCEPTED

I've now implemented the option of using the join request form therefore you may either post an application on the forums or send a request to join. If you decide to utilize the join request form, I will copy the bio and post it on the guild forums so it wont get lost. Remember, our guild costs 150 to join so make sure you have that ready.
