Soliel walked along through the hallways of the school quietly brooding to himself.
This place was getting to be incredibly boring since he had finished the last book he was allowed with on his chosen subject of study.
"I wonder if I could sneak one of the bigger books they put on the top shelf." he mused out loud as he looked boredly at the floor.

Kadej stepped out of the doorway from his dorm room and turned into the hallway to come face to face with Soliel. He smiled and waved a bit meekly, "Hi."

Looking up as he heard the door shut he smiled pleasantly and waved back.
"Hi Kadej. Feeling better I hope." Soliel said in perfect manners. He always prided himself on how well manner and manicured he kept himself.

Kadej gave a very small smile, or rather, his previous smile grew small and timid. His put his hands behind his back and nodded, "Uhuh.... I'm sorry for causing such trouble, I'm feeling better now."

"It's ok. Your health is worth it." Soliel said reaching out a hand to pat Kadej on the shoulder gently.
"Besides what is life without some sort of adventure to keep us from getting bored. Which isn't easy while we are stuck here." he finished with a dazzling smile just for the other boys benefit.

Kadej was caught a little off guard by the other boy's kind and forgiving gestures and words and he nodded calmly. "Yes... I ...suppose." He sounded a bit unsure, as if he didn't really like life with all those ups and downs.
In truth, the chocolate colored youth disliked surprises. Unlike plants, surprises took you for a spin... they were like unwanted roots in a garden and Kadej (particularly liking the magic of plants) disliked weeds.

"Just make me one promise though for next time? Don't take so many pills and make sure you take your pills on time, please?" Soliel asked as he slipped over to Kadej's side.
"Wanna go with me to the library? I'm looking for a new book to study to try and learn this one particular spell." he continued in an amicable way.

Kadej nodded solemnly, "Sure, I promise." He sounded hesitant though, he liked the pills... which is one of the main reasons he had been forced to hand them over to the school. They would give them to him accordingly.
Kadej tilted his head and then nodded, "Sure. I need a book too..." In truth, he didn't know what book he needed but when he got there he'd fine one to take out anyway.

Tilting his head to the side he couldn't help think that Kadej ws acting just a bit strangely for him.
"Is something bothering you?" Soliel asked a hint of concern marring his normally sing song voice.

"Non... I'm just a little... jittery..." Kadej tried to smile but he couldn't. He had been avoiding it of course. And of course he didn't even want to think about it... but there was a letter on his desk in his dorm explaining it all. And the one thing Kadej would never admit to anyone... especially not himself. Zan was dead... and he had only found out now...

"Well then maybe a bit less sugar then hmmm?" Soliel replied easily.
There was something very obviously upsetting the other boy but if he didn't want to talk about it then he wasn't going to force it. He knew what it was like when people pried and you just wanted the subject left alone.
Moving ahead by a bit he opened the door leading into the library for them both.
Giving a bright smile again he said "Maybe a few relaxing hours in the library will help."

Kadej attempted another nervous smile and followed Soliel greatfully. Soliel had been his first friend and one of his most valued, Kadej would prolly have been lost without him. "Yea, maybe..."

"So then have you been enjoying the classes we are being made to take here?" Soliel asked as he walked towards his favorite table.
He had just finished his assignemt for the learning of crystals class and he felt like talking about it.

"Classes..." The poor boy suddenly blanked and he frowned as he followed his 'upperclassmen' (or at least that's how Kadeju viewed Soliel). "...sort... of?" He chuckled a bit nervously trying to unhappily cover the fact he was blanking on that class.
