We have had discussions about the many possible pairings for Athrun. She was one of them. But no, I can't say I hate her. I don't think she's enough of a character for me to hate.

Yeah, Meyrin isn't a character to hate. She wasn't created that way.
I think any new characters in GSD were judge on the basis "To hate or not to hate" simply if they conflicting with the way the main characters were from SEED.

Ex.
Yuuna-who likes Yuuna? No one who loves Athrun and Cagalli, I'm sure.
Luna-who likes Luna? Well some, since she gave up on Athrun in the end.
Meer-Who likes Meer? Fllay lovers....that's for sure. But she impersonates Lacus and tries to snuggle up to Athrun...she's like THE most hated character in the series
Meyrin-who likes Meyrin? Well, no one hates her...but she's stealing Cagalli's man
Shinn-who hates Shinn? Kira lovers, that's who.
Rey....uhm, well he's actually safe. He hasn't done a single thing to the other characters. Well, maybe except Athrun....but then no one's really paying attention.

Haha, agreed Angel you Kira lover. Shinn ain't so bad. Except I love Athrun more.

Listing my hated characters (this is just in my opinion):
-Fllay (does all that to manipulate Kira? I find it disturbing and despicable)
-Meer (i guess she was mislead, but her attitude is not a very good one)
-Yuuna (cocky and very errotic)
-Rau (he was just twisted)

and maybe some of the cocky druggies

Lol I agree with the both of you. I cetainly dislike those characters, though I don't think I actually hate them. I mean without them, there is no interesting story/side plot...right?
