A letter from a stranger arrives at your doorstep-
Kira Hato, Congradulations on finding your Reliquiant. You have been given a most wonderful gift. As the new Guardian of Lapis Lazuli, I leave you with some information that might aid you in the exploration of your new responsibility, I wish you all the luck and joy. ~Owner of the Restful Relic Inn
Mythology- The Sumarians believed that lapis lazuil contained the spirit of the deitins; the Ancient Egyptians also regarded it as the stone of the gods. As shown in the Papyrus Ebers, lapis lazuli had medicinal properties that improve eyesight when worn in the form of the of Horus amulet or powdered around the eyes.

Torin's Items -Black scarf to cover his mouthless face -A shirt made by Delia (Daikenkai) -A gift from Ophilia, a folded paper star -A piece of papyrus that Nazirqah gave him to write his name on ~-------------@*@-------------~ Cirru's Items - Katana Cirru's Friends eh... i'll do that later @.@ ~-------------@*@-------------~ A strange day it was I thought it seemed a good time to go and visit my brother one evening. It was on a whim, but I wanted to just check in on how he was doing and what not. So, off I went around my home it was quite plesant outside but the further I came to where my brother seemed to be staying the weather became more foul. It was dark and raining heavily, I pulled my hood up over my head and continued on. It seemed as if I would have to stay there for the evening, if I made it. Continuing on I found myself walking on a heavily worn path. My eyes down and watching the road I spied a few stones that caught my interest. I'm not sure why I do this but i have a habbit of picking such things up. T hey being mostly quartz but still pretty. Finally I found my way to the place they call the Relic Center, but wouldn't you know it... after walking through that nasty storm my brother wasn't even there. There was no point in going back while it was so stormy out. I decided to stay the evening. It seemed there was a bit of commotion going on but i kept to my self. Such strange creatures those reliquants are, not in a bad sense but i at least don't want the little fuzzy one crawling on my feet... So he looked like a goat... But he sure acted like a mouse running around... Anyway after a while of watching the little creatures romping around I noticed the pocket of my cloak glowing faintly. Curious i checked my pocket and pulled out the stones i had gathered on my way there. Any mud on them had been cleaned off them... witch ment i had to clean my cloak later. I went through the bits of quarts and stones with fossles and noticed i had picked up a blue stone. I don't recall doing so but it was in my pocket. I picked it out of the group and began to inspect it. I was slightly startled when it began to glow slightly, but at least I found out what had been glowing in my pocket. How very strange i remember saying. I kept this stone as my little secret for now placing it back within my pocket. I really didn't know that all of the small creatures running around had come from such simmilar stones. It seemed like forever but my brother finally returned. He had gone to his "special place" I could tell by the sent he carried on his clothes. He had a reliquant of his own. Its form wasn't quite my particular favorite, i'm not one for snakes, but he seemed plesant enough. Pulling him to the side i s howed him the glowing stone, perhaps he had seen something like it. After all he was by far more traveled than I. He looked it over and told me that it most likely could be a Reliquant. I spoke with Lytte and she seemed to confirm it. So it seems i now have one of my own. Eventually it will become just like the little creatures running around the room... In a way i think it will be quite nice. I won't have to be so lonely anymore. It didn't take me long to find a name. I named the stone after my brother... well... his real name, but he refuses to go by that anymore. Oh well, at least i can protect this Torin.

Tests? In order for my reliquant to evolve I was told that i had to conduct tests. From these tests i could find out a bit more about its personality and how to help it evolve. So of course i'll do some tests. I wasn't sure what to start with so my brother just told me to go for some basic colors. Later on i ... well probably looked silly talking to a stone but i went over some colors with Torin. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, and black. Easy enough 3nodding Color test results Red= loved orange= didn't care much yellow= loved green= didn't care much blue= loved purple= liked white= liked black= hated

i wonder how my boy shall be.... Last evening i met the reliquant Cirru. He looked quite, well... he looked to be a bad sort of fellow. He has spikes in a lot of places, definitly not the type to pet. He is also missing an arm, my first thought was a battle wound or something. But as they say you can't judge a book by its cover and it seems that Cirru is quite the reliquant gentlemen. After this slight encounter i began to wonder about my own reliquant. All i really know so far is that it will be a boy. I feel like an expecting mother. Anyway as curious as i am to see how he may look and maybe act i started some more tests. Today shall be rather simple. I plan to take him outside with me at the different parts of the day. Morning, afternoon and night. Times of the day results Morning= loved afternoon= liked night= reacted strangely, perhaps try this again later

Another day another entry Today seems a bit slow, perhaps i shall take Torin outside with me. We could go for a walk into the woods and then to the river. I could even give him a bath there though i hope he doesn't mind the water being a bit cold. But once he is clean he can go in my nice warm pocket again. Hmm this gives me an idea for another test, to see what places he might like. I think i shall try being inside, outside in the woods, at the river, him in the water, and him in my warmer pocket. Maybe he likes something out of that.... Places test restults inside= liked outside in the woods= loved at the river= liked in the water= liked warmer pocket= loved

bedtime story I was geting myself ready to slip into bed and read a book before falling asleep. It made me think of something else, perhaps Torin would also like a story before bed. I was unsure of what kind of story he would like so i grabbed a few to read a bit of each, he was sure to like at least one of them. I read a bit of fantasy, sci-fi, romance, horror, a page of a history and even a bit from the manual for my computer. After all that i was ready to fall asleep so i set the books aside on my desk and slipped into bed with Torin on my side table. Turning off my lamp as tiered as my eyes were i watched Torin for a bit before allowing them to close and drift off to sleep. Books test results fantasy= didn't care much sci-fi= loved romance= hated horror= didn't care much history= hated computer manual= liked

lunch time A long walk left me quite hungry so i seated myself under a tree to have a snack. Within my pocket i made sure to bring an apple with me for a snack. Of course the apple is usually a sweet or sometimes tart fruit. It did help me come up with an idea for another test for Torin; foods. Once i had returned home i went to the kitchen and brought out a few foods for Torin to...well sit infront of... I only did the basics really. Fruits, Vegtables, bread, some cheese, meat and a bit of candy. Then i began to wonder about if he cared for sweet, sour, spicey, or even bland foods. I found a few foods that had such tastes and tested them out as well. After all it would be nice to know what sort of foods to feed him. Food test results Fruits= loved Vegtables= liked bread= hated cheese= didn't care much meat- liked candy= didn't care much sweet= loved sour= loved spicey= loved bland= didn't care much

Song of the day Today it was raining and it was a bit dull. I wandered over to the window to watch a bit and began to fiddle with the cord on the radio not thinking much about it. After a while i looked to it and decided to turn it on to actually listen to for a bit. I went through various stations with different kinds of music. Torin still in my pocket seemed to react to them. So i contined through some Classical, Country, Rock, Rythem and Blues, some Rap and a station of static. Once done with that i set it to my usual station to listen to while i watched the rains. Music test results Classical= liked Country= didn't care much Rock= liked Rythem and Blues= loved Rap= liked static= hated

Dangerous toys I headed down to the Reliquant Center again today and noticed something i hadn't really payed much attention to; tiny sets of weapons. I'm not really one for fighting but since the reliquants are so small i can see the reason for them having a bit of need to protect themselves. I took Torin out of my pocket to have a look at the weapons that were on display and checked if he actually had an interest in any such things. On display there were: Long bows, short bows, cross bows, shurikuns, darts, long spears, short spears, katanas, great swords, long swords, flachions, scimitar, daggers, whips, sais, pikes, glaves, axes and hand axes. Such a large selection.... Well if he doesn't like any of those i'm sure he wouldn't mind a stuffed toy to hold onto. The other small reliquant seemed so cute with one. Weapons test results Long bows= didn't care much short bows= hated cross bows= loved shurikuns= hated darts= didn't care much long spears= didn't care much short spears= didn't care much katanas= loved great swords= didn't care much long swords= hated flachions= loved scimitar= liked daggers= hated whips= didn't care much sais= liked pikes= liked glaves= loved axes= liked hand axes= didn't care much

scales and chords? I wandered around town doing a bit of shopping today and noticed a music shop. I looked into the window at the new intruments they had on display along with a few books of sheet music. A bit interested i entered the small shop and wandered around looking for anything that seemed particularly interesting. In the far corner stand a beautiful grand piano. I couldn't help myself as i found myself soon in front of it pressing the keys and playing a simple tune. The shop keeper didn't seem to mind so i continued for a bit longer. Torin seemed to react to it so idecided to try a few more intruments around. I don't know if they have instuments sized for reliquants but if they do it would be an excellent thing for Torin to take up. After the piano i fiddled with a flute, claranet, guitar, saxaphone, trumpet, and a drum set. Once i had vinished with the insturments the shop keeper did give me a bit of an odd look so i went and purchased a book of simple songs that Torin could practice if he wished to. Instrument test results piano= loved flute= hated claranet= didn't care much guitar= loved saxaphone= didn't care much trumpet= hated drums= liked

a slow day
I haven't had an idea for a test all day. So i just decided to spend the day relaxing with Torin. The day was quite rainy but it didn't seem to ruin it. Through the day we listened to a bit of radio and read from the book that he seemed to show interest in. They day seemed to go by quite fast and by evening the rain finally stopped. I went out on the porch with a blanket and relaxed and enjoyed the quiet evening with Torin. It wasn't long before i nearly found myself falling asleep in my chair outside. I quickly got myself up and headed inside with Torin to head off to bed.

out for a walk
This evening was quite nice, it was a bit warmer than it had been. The air was still a bit cool but it carried a fresh scent. I followed down a path i had slowly been wearing in down through the woods. I was a bit startled as i spotted movement from the corner of my eye, but it was only a deer. After finally making my way down through the path it led up to a small clearing. It has nice soft grass, perfect for laying back on and watching the clouds, or in this evenings case the stars. I had hoped that i may catch a glimse of a shooting star but no such luck. I looked up and stared at Orion, for some reason no matter what i always seem to see that first when i look to the stars. Its as if he jumps across the sky to meet my gaze. I decided to take Torin out of my pocket to watch with me... that is if he actually can watch. If anything i think he enjoys the atmosphere. We stayed there for quite a while. The grass was quite heavy with dew before i finally got up to head back. I wandered back to my home and settled down for bed and lay Torin on my desk near the window. Just in case he still wanted to watch outside. He was facing east so he would be sure to see the sunrise.

Catalyst After a discussion with Lizzy i have thought of another test to help me find what may be the catalyst for Torins growth. I plan to head out during the evenings and see how he reacts during rainy or cloudy evenings and those with clear skys. After that i'll try to go out on those types of evenings and try and pick out certain things about the environment he may like and test those. night test results -under a cloudless starry sky, the stone began to pulse-

Eagerness
After seeing that Torin liked the cloudless evenings i took him out every chance i got. He really, really seemed to like it no mater how warm or cool the evening was. He glows on occasion but not as much as he does when he gets to watch the stars. I wonder if this means he will grow up soon. Lizzy did talk about how they needed a catalyst and i think this just may be it.
