Patrol was going well enough. Nothing terribly eventful had happened yet, which was good for Andromeda. It meant she could practice. Maus had given her some pointers, and she'd tried to learn from self-defense videos on youtube and tiktok, but after her last few battles she just really didn't think she was effective enough. Some senshi had magic they could use at a distance, Maus had a staff. What did she have? Speed and agility, sure. But not much in strength, at least compared to others. And she had like... one move she'd been relying on. Punch them in the face and then figure it out from there. Like, come on. There had to be something better she could do. So while things were quiet Andromeda had stopped in a corner of the park that seemed a bit less populated, after a detour of stealing a cardboard cut out of some athlete promoting something at a 7/11. It was vaguely human-sized, and most of her enemies were... well... human. Or at the very least humanoid. So Andromeda was practicing with the cardboard cut out, swinging punches and landing kicks on it. And also apologizing to the inanimate object every time she knocked it over and helped it back up.

Now that her kids were a bit older, Mu Arae was ready to give patrolling another go. Her husband was okay with watching the kids or taking turns whenever he wanted to go do some patrolling of his own. For now, she answered a post on their little senshi social about someone wanting to improve their fighting skills, which was something she could totally help out with. Granted, the older senshi would be putting the newer one through their paces, just like Maia did with her when they were younger. Checking once more in terms of the meeting place, Mu Arae snorted when she saw a senshi seemingly practicing with a cardboard cut out instead of something more solid. " Honey...I doubt that cardboard is going to do much in terms of fighting back or teaching you about where to hit." She kept her mouth covered while stepping closer, " Mu Arae~ I assume you are Andromeda? You posted for some self defense lessons?"

One more punch to the athlete's face and Andromeda felt another presence. She looked up, this time not catching the cardboard cut out as it fell over yet again. Until she could see who it was, she went completely still while her eyes darted around looking for the source. It felt... yes. Okay. It felt like a friend. Not corrupted. This was getting easier the more she became accustomed to it! Relaxing, she dropped her arms and turned when she heard someone calling out to her. Her cheeks flushed a bit, and she laughed as she rubbed the back of her neck. "I was kinda just using him to like... get used to the motions." Andromeda explained as she once more reached down to help the stand up and give it a gentle patpat on the head.
She turned to Mu Arae with a bright smile and a nod, her hands clasped behind her back. "Yep! I'm Andromeda, senshi of jellyfish. It's nice to meet you! I'm uh... well. So like. I'm not really a fighter? I mean, I've never been. I learned some basic self defense for, you know, civilian city life. Kick, punch, mace them in the face, that kind of thing. But now it's literal life and death?" She took a moment to pat the skirt of her fuku, likely an idle motion as she swayed back and forth from heel to toe. "My magic requires me to touch bare skin, and hold onto them. I got some pointers from Maus, basically to like... try to 'un-teach' myself some stuff I already know. But even he admitted his ability was limited. Are you any good with, like, grappling?" Andromeda sounded hopeful then.

Ahhhhh....Her magic just required her to touch someone, which still required her to grab. "I can teach you some grapples. My best advice? Get into some sort of martial arts. I take Muay Thai kickboxing. Have been since my early 20's." Jelly fish was a nice sphere to have. Mu could remember a time where she hated her power sphere and thought about corrupting since it felt like her powers would be less of a danger. Now? She was happy she never made the commitment. "Power is brutality. Its nice to meet you Andromeda~" she cracked her neck and shoulders then stretched.
"I come from the school of getting my a** beat till I learned. I'm not going to do that to you and I will hold back on powers. But the best way to learn is by doing. So, I'm going to come at you and I just want you to react how you would as if this was a normal fight." The senshi charged forward with the intent to swing a kick to her side. Mu made sure to hold back on her strength, considering the fact that she was an eternal senshi and Andromeda was a baby as far as power went.

Uff. It wasn't bad advice, but when did she have the time for that? Andromeda tapped at her lips. "I've been doing dance, ballet specifically, for... well... since I was a toddler. I've never done martial arts of any kind, really." Maus also mentioned he learned boxing. Hm.. was that just something everyone did? She'd have to ask around some more. But she smiled and nodded as Mu Arae spoke. Brutality sounded like just the right thing she needed in this moment.
It also wasn't surprising that someone that was the sphere of 'Brutality' learned the way she did. There was a feeling of gratitude that she'd at least hold back, recognizing that the Eternal senshi was significantly stronger than her, even if she hadn't been a trained fighter. Her eyes widened a bit as she listened to the instruction, darting up and down to study her while she spoke. And then Mu Arae was charging at her. She stepped back on one foot, hopping to keep her own momentum. The leg. How should she--oh she knew what to do here. Andromeda may not have been practiced in actual fighting, but she knew stage fighting. Her weight on one foot, she bent back with her arms over her head to duck under the leg. Catching herself on her hands, she dropped down and swiveled with her free leg extended to try and sweep out Mu Arae's other leg out from under her. One leg in the air, one leg on the ground, it left a similar opening to what had been done to herself.
