Monsters, apparent evil-doers, and magic. Those were the things Noevella had explained to her, though that didn’t sway her decision to power up and investigate things. He’d been a child; that much she could tell, and seeing things as good or bad didn’t fit her. If the ends justified it, she’d take whatever measures she needed.
Tonight it was just a test, seeing how much faster, how much farther, she could run and jump. The flow of her uniform was odd, making her think of what she wore when she used to play tennis with Victor’s mother. The headdress and hanging feathers bothered her still as they brushed against the side of her face and obscured some of her peripheral vision, an annoyance but not enough to take the thing off. After all, she quite liked how intimidating it made her look.
Standing at the edge of a rooftop, she looked down at the city below and drank it all in. These people were beneath her, where she felt they belonged, and she delighted in the ability to get up here without breaking a sweat or a nail.
Something prickled at the edge of her senses, though, as she looked down- something she wasn’t exactly sure of. Crouching slightly, she scanned the alleyways she could see as she tried to figure out why she had a bad feeling.

Liebthenite paused as he settled the poor ‘housing unfortunate’ gentleman into a nest of boxes and blankets so that hopefully whatever remained of his ‘stuff’ wouldn’t get taken just because he’d had the energy sucked out of him for the cause.
He could feel… something, a creepy, awful something as far as he was concerned, prickling against his skin, but he couldn’t see anything looking around. It was, unfortunately, not in human nature to look ‘up’ for cause, so that wasn’t his first instinct.
He summoned his weapon, such as it was, almost on instinct and stepped to the mouth of the alleyway. “... Ok, I -feel- you ********, where you at.”
Then he at least remembered he could get to the rooftops, so, probably, could ‘they’. He glanced upward, bracing himself for some order son of a monkey playing ‘death from above’.

She heard them before seeing them, and that voice grated on her with how crass their response was. Couldn’t they see she was a lady? A proper one no less. Tilting her head slightly, she glared down at them with icy eyes. “How crass.”
While she could jump down, she didn’t dare get herself dirty by landing near the dumpster or on the person who was tucked between boxes and other filth. Instead, she took the path along the fire escape at first before hopping down and landing behind them. She noticed the odd blue thing in their hand; it looked… disgusting. The floot she had didn’t mean much to her, but it was more threatening, she felt, than what they were holding.

He spun on his heel to see who’d come down the fire escape, blinking and surprised at the feeling. “You’re not a senshi… What the hell are you, Skeletor? Spirit Halloween does Easter?” He glanced her over and crouched slightly, brandishing the sodden ice pop like it meant anything.
“Do we do introductions or do you just kinda sneer from under the cosplay?”

This… was a child, wasn’t it? God, it was getting harder for her to tell these days. Her expression grew colder as they went on with the mention of some sort of cartoon character and various holidays. It grated on her.
When the topic of introductions came up, she felt like action was better than wasting her time and breath on them. With a snap, she kicked up for their chest to knock them back. It felt stronger than usual, something that made her smile a little as she realized that was another perk of things. “Do you even have the capacity for high enough thought to make any sense?”

“OOOMPH” He stumbled backwards, breath lost in surprise and wheezing because she’d nailed him right in the solar plexus. “Ohhh, rich b***h pays big bucks to try and sound fancy, you gonna pull out the 5-dollar words next?” He wheezed and staggered back to his feet. “Kick this Backwater Barbie!” He snapped his own kick towards her ribs, angling his heel for first impact.”

They just didn’t shut up, did they? But that didn’t mean she wasn’t paying attention. Stepping back and pulling her arms up, she took the hit there and skidded back a few more steps from the kick. Hissing slightly between her teeth, she shook out her arms after and checked for any dirt on her skin. It seemed contained to the wraps on her forearms, good.
“Backwater and rich are two very at odd sentiments…” Shaking her head, she crossed her arms and looked at him and how unkempt his… everything looked. Wild hair and face paint, a mess, and very much not worth her time. Though it was a good test of how hard she could hit and how hard a hit she could take. “At least keep consistent if you’re trying to insult me.” Huffing slightly, she looked back towards the garbage that she’d ended up nearer to. The smell was horrible, and she took a step away from it before returning her attention to the child before her.

“Rich coming from you, just cause you seem to like looking like you’re slumming it. At least I have a chance of upgrading this s**t; I think you'd have to dig to go up in style. You look like ‘summerween’ on clearance! Last one of you ******** looked like a Christmas Tree Skirt!” He took the chance when she glanced back at the garbage to dart forward and deliver a snapping kick at her midsection again.
“Never seriously considered shoving this ice pop up someone’s nose before, getting real tempting though with it all up in the air like that.”

Her eye twitched slightly, and then she moved again, punching right for their face with her flute in hand. It wasn’t sharp, but she figured it was solid enough to make a point, at least much more solid than whatever they had. It looked like some sort of melted ice cream.
“Maybe you should shut up.” She said sharply; this was becoming more annoying than useful. Already she planned on disengaging after this last hit, if only because she really didn’t want to get any mess on her.

He dodged back, a narrow miss that almost grazed his cheek. Thankfully, the divergent lifestyle that he generally enjoyed meant he’d had more than a few people try to punch him in the face; normally he blamed it on being flamboyant. “Awww, suck my Ice pop, crone.” He said and tried to shoulder charge her into a pile of garbage. He felt that would be the best end to the skirmish, and he could hoof it out of there if he just took her down a momentary peg.

The shoulder check had been a surprise, if only because she’d never seen someone do one in person. Thankful not to have heels but sandals, she teetered back, grabbing him by the hair to keep from landing in the trash.
“Crone?! You insolent little..!” Yanking him down, she tried to turn so he’d land in the trash first. It was clumsy at best, but whatever trash and filth she could avoid, the better.

He swore as fingers tangled in wild beach curls and small beaded braids. Stumbling forward as she dragged him with her by his scalp. “Eat my SHORTS, Grandma!” He barked as they both tumbled into the trash; he tried to backfist her in the nose. At least he knew what got to her now; he’d absolutely remember it if he ran into her again. Hell, he might see if it was a thing to make a note in whatever file the negaverse might have on ‘old ladies wearing cryptid chique headware’.

Breaking out of the trash as fast as she could, she hissed as the hit connected with her face. Stomping right on his chest, she kicked off of him and bolted, hurrying to get the disgusting feeling of wet garbage off of her skin.
Disgusting, vile, and outright horrible. She’d need to get a good look at things in the mirror to make sure nothing was broken, and if it was, she’d call her surgeon in the morning to make sure everything would be perfect in time for the next opera she was performing in.
