Primordial - Philosopher - Musician / / Stolid - Secretive - Distrustful
███████ BASIC
»»» NAME: Elizabetta "The Pale Dragon" Novryk
»»» AGE: Primordial
»»» GENDER: Female/Fluid
»»» SEXUALITY: Homosexual/Whimsical
███████ APPEARANCE
»»» RACE: Vampyre ((Tzimisce))
»»» CLAN: Elizabetta was born to a father of the Tzimisce clan of vampyre, and a mother who was of the Banu'Haqim clan. The Tzimisce clan is abhorred and shunned by most of the vampyre world as monstrous and grotesque due to their bloodline's inherent ability: "Flesh-Crafting." The Tzimisce clan retain the ability to change the forms and shapes of living flesh. This requires immense knowledge, training, education, and practice. Even then each Tzimisce is limited to one specific skill set within Flesh-Crafting. Most choose magic or gross enhancements. Elizabetta chose only to permanently alter the anatomy of her lower jaw, and to master a singular form; "The Pale Dragon." The resulting monstrosity is herself in her full unbridled nature. This also means that Elizabetta is incapable of wielding any other form of vampyre magic, and relies solely on the combination of her wit as well as physical ability.
Her mother taught her the martial arts and animalistic movements of the Banu'Haqim; and this is how Elizabetta both maneuvers as well as defends herself. She knows nothing else of her Banu'Haqim heritage. When her clan was wiped out by Hunters--long before the disaster--Elizabetta survived. Escaped using her monstrous form.
»»» DIABLERIST: "Diablerie" is the forbidden practice of vampyre cannibalism. To drink the blood of another vampyre. Over time this has subtly altered Elizabetta's physiology. She now gains a great deal of nourishment from consuming vampyre vitae; but in turn she gains almost nothing from devouring humans. Human blood will not heal her wounds nor do much to sate her thirst.
»»» HAIR COLOR: Platinum-Silver
»»» EYE COLOR: Eclipsed Gold
»»» MARKINGS/TATTOOS/PIERCINGS: There is a scar upon her chin that seems not to be a scar at all; but a natural part of her anatomy. How curious...what could be it's function?
███████ HISTORY
»»» FAMILY: Brother (deceased), Mother (deceased), Father (deceased)
»»» BACKGROUND: Elizabetta's accent would leave even the most learned and experienced linguist squinting with scrutiny. A mixture of middle-eastern, olde English, and subtle inflections reminiscent of Oriental languages. Her haunting gait and devastating beauty alone would be enough to cause most to wonder of her nature in the small hours of the rest of their lives. A vocalist, an instrumentalist, a songwriter, a bookworm, and a philosopher of remarkable insight. Few have had the pleasure of speaking with her and walked away without greater wisdom than they possessed before...and fewer still have survived the monster she is capable of being.
»»» CURRENT LOCALE: _________ (( T.B.D ))
███████ ABILITIES
»»» SPECIALTY: "The Pale Dragon." Elizabetta of the Tzimisce forego all of the spells, rituals, and mysticisms her family had once offered to teach her. Instead she poured her entirety into physical improvement, and the Tzimisce art of flesh-crafting. The result is that she is able to assume a second monstrous form--"The Pale Dragon"--and that horrific monstrosity is notorious even among her own.
»»» WEAPON: On her person at all times Elizabetta carries a Spartan Blades Les George V14 dagger forged of Obsidian-Silver alloy.
»»» WEAKNESS: Elizabetta's physiology--while remarkable--is incapable of withstanding the very particular combination of toxic properties in Mercury. Should she inhale the fumes of this substance, let it touch her skin, or--stars forbid--ingest it...there is a likelihood that she will suffer severe if not fatal injury.
»»» OTHER SKILLS: In her human form? Elizabetta has incredible agility, reflexes, flexibility, and of course her exceptional intuition. However she lacks any real strength at all compared to the average vampyre; and relies on diplomacy or her cruel wit to quickly end a conflict rather than fight outright. In the form of "The Pale Dragon?"
Run.
███████ CURRENT EVENTS/RECENT HISTORY
»»» Elizabetta was in Kyushu when she saw it. Felt it. Even before Fuji joined the rest of the world in eruption. She could feel the tension of the birds in their nests. Hear the skittering feet of mice scrambling to find a safety that couldn't exist. It wasn't long before she was standing on the shores of Japan; and watching the clouds of ash sweep across the sky. She was no fool. She knew what came next would be just as apocalyptic as what came first. Even as The Pale Dragon she couldn't cross the ocean with anywhere near enough time.
So she fled to Vietnam. Her many centuries of education and exploration finally paying off when she recalled herself to the Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. A breathtaking vista of limestone mountains complete with complex cavern networks, and chemically-colored waters that stretch as deep as the roots of the mountain. Or--at least--they used to. They were now frozen sheets edged with darker shades as volcanic winter had settled across the globe.
Elizabetta made these limestone caverns her home. Leaving only once every couple of weeks to hunt and drain some unsuspecting vampyre. The network was a complex system that would take even a vampyre a few tries to navigate. Deep within the tallest mountain she carved her refuge; and has added what little comforts she could to it over time. An impressive library, plenty of calligraphy equipment, and all the vinyl records her turntable could accommodate. However in time she grew restless; and knew that she could not die in these wretched caves.
She marked her home with a few choice carvings; and piled small boulders in the caverns leading to her home. She would return for her possessions someday. But it would make no sense to do so until she'd found a place she could confidently call sanctuary. She gathered a few supplies; and took once more to the sky. Stopping only to feed, and to scout.
Around a week of searching and--much to her good fortune--Elizabetta happens upon a city. A city that looks only half as ruined as everywhere else; and seems to be bustling in comparison to the rest of the dying globe.
In the night skies about New Houston...a primordial creature of shimmering white scales dips below dark clouds. It slips like a drop of living rain downwards, wings folded against it's person; and they unfurl only to send it careening between a pair of dilapidated buildings. It passes into a dark alleyway; and vanishes from sight.
███████ EXTRA
»»» ROMANCE: Elizabetta is indeed open to romance. Some magical soul who can make her laugh and weep as she did when she was still alive may be just what she never knew she needed.
»»» THEME: Upward to the Moon
»»» ANYTHING ELSE: Even among her own kind--among other vampyres--Elizabetta's bite is notorious. She does not have the same jaw as most vampires. To be bitten by this creature has the potential to make you suffer like never before. The seam in her chin is not simply for show. Through the art of Tzimisce Flesh-Crafting she has created a bite meant not for humans; but other vampyres. The lower jaw splits down the center like a lamprey to reveal a massive secondary set of teeth, and a barbed tongue used to latch onto victims. These barbs inject a neurotoxin which will paralyze a lesser (npc) vampire during the bite. Beware the Jaws of Elizabetta.
