Beep boop!
Welcome to the SKYNET ROBO-RESISTANCE HELLHOLE.
This is a topic where you can discuss GenAI, slop, and other Plagiarism Machine horseshittery!
Posting Guidelines:
✦ Try not to spiral into despair or get too intense about it to the point that you find yourself getting heated or your mental state takes a hit. I know most of us have a lot of really strong feelings and opinions about GenAI, but do your best to not make your own day (or someone else's) worse than it already is! Take care of your mental health first! Log off if you need to!
✦ Try your best to keep AI talk here instead of posting in other Guild forums or topics. If you're in another discussion topic elsewhere in the Guild and the conversation starts pivoting towards AI, move it here and continue your discussion.
✦ Don't turn this topic into a tomato-throwing ragefest. In other words: don't post with the purpose of inciting rage in people. Don't ragebait. Don't post slop with the express purpose of hoping that we'll all point and laugh and hate on it. Every single one of you has better ways to spend your time. I promise.
✦ Posting news and resources is fine! We want to make sure people are educated and know what they're up against, what actions are being taken against this technology (and the people behind it), etc. That being said...
✦ Do NOT post anything that would get yourself, Gaia Online, or the forum subpoenaed. That means no threats of violence, no hate-mail, no organizing operations (there are other spaces online where you can do that!! Just ABSOLUTELY NOT here!!). Self-discipline and not saying stupid or incriminating s**t online is one of the most valuable life skills you can learn... So use it!
✦ Data-poisoning by using Glaze, Nightshade, and similar countermeasures is fine, and also encouraged. Good for you if you're poisoning AI data sets. You're absolutely free to talk about this, as long as you're not also doing anything stupid or illegal.
