Quote: The Meteor Shower (3) : It wouldn't be a star festival without a meteor shower! Right on time, a beautiful array of shooting stars graces the night sky. This time of year is unnaturally clear and it's incredibly easy to see the stars. Most meteor fragments appear to be little white or yellow lights streaming across the sky, but if you watch closely enough you may find that some of them seem to be a whole rainbow of colors. The scientists have reported that it's just different components burning up as they enter the atmosphere, but there's something undeniably magical about it. The yearly meteor shower was always something of a pleasure to behold. Ariadne had decided to time her little energy draining excursion so she could take it in, and honestly, she was having a pretty nice time. She was in a park a little off the beaten path, one that was staying open so people could enjoy the summer evenings and the rainbows in the sky, and there were plenty of folks around to watch the meteor shower and thus be available to lend a little energy to the betterment of the Dark Mirror Court.
Sitting under the sky, enjoying the quiet, letting her little mirrorwraith dart around drawing energy from people--she was contributing to the Court and taking a nice little break at the same time.
Great day, honestly. As long as no one showed up to ruin it. There were the little lights of Order auras, sure, but Ariadne wasn't all that concerned with them. Surely they had better things to do than hassle her, right? Way more dangerous people to go after? That kind of thing?

Seren Yong had been thinking about going to one of the big gatherings for the annual meteor shower. Her space loving brain was THRILLED by it. Rhys, sadly, was not in the mood to go out tonight, and she could not blame him. He was still adjusting to his new life. She would not push him, and he was waiting at home for her, which made her heart happy. Arriving at the park, she was smiling at all the people there at first but then something struck her. This... Was the kind of event that agents of Chaos in any form would love to... Attend. And disrupt. Or worse, take advantage of. She had been in such a good mood about this before that thought struck. Her blue eyes flashed in irritation, and her lips twisted in frustration. She hunted through the area, before finding a good place to shift, hidden in a small grove of trees. And when she did... She was annoyedly glad she had done so. She could feel an aura that she did not like nearby. She considered and began to sprint as quietly as she could towards it, tucking her wand into her braid. She always appreciated how pretty it was but honestly, it was useless as a weapon unless she was close enough to like. Poke the schmuck she was fighting in the eye with or something. At least she was fit as ********, and her aikido lessons had been ongoing for years now. Finally she spotted the person she was hunting, and had to control the urge to swear loudly. Instead, she charged forwards, attempting to barrel into the other woman as hard as possible in an attempt to disrupt her wicked ways and maybe also possibly make it harder for the other woman to attack. It was Cheomseongdae's biggest problem, in her own opinion... Her magic was USELESS unless she had someone to support.

Ariadne supposed that she was an idiot for hoping for things. She had felt the new aura pop up, but that didn't mean anything. It was a nice night! Maybe other people wanted to enjoy it in their magical forms! That was totally a reasonable thing to do!
But no. That was apparently not what was happening, because there was a woman crashing into her at speed and with a lot of force, which made her yelp and stagger backwards, and she looked automatically for her mirrorwraith, hoping it was smart enough to stay away when she was getting into a fight.
"What the ******** is wrong with you!" It was less a question and more a statement of shock, and Ariadne took a few extra steps backwards before holding up her hands to call on her magic. "Mourningbride's Yearning!"
Maybe she would be able to magic this girl and get her to turn around and leave. One could only hope.Quote: Super Sailor Scout Attack: Mourningbride's Yearning! Sailor Ariadne cups her hands in front of her and speaks the name of her attack, and a spectral mourningbride flower appears in her hands. She offers it to a target, and they feel a mild compulsion to take it. If they do, they will find themselves feeling attached to Ariadne and wanting to please her, even to their detriment. It is possible to resist this compulsion, though it is more difficult at this stage and fighting it will cause the target to feel pain in their chest akin to being stabbed in the heart. This effect lasts for 35 seconds. Ariadne can use this attack twice per battle.

Cheom rolled to the side as quickly as she could out of the collision, hissing in annoyance at the other, and her (in Cheom's opinion) idiotic question. She shifted into a better stance for fighting, and then twitched her nose at the weird magic cry. She never would get used to the names for the spells everyone used, as they always felt a little odd in her mind. But in this case, even though she felt the compulsion... Well. She had a policy, and it helped here. She was not pleased by the pain that accompanied that decision but... Well, pain was nothing new to her and she could hide it. Nothing showed on her face, even if inside she was wanting to scream. She'd trained herself, after all, to hide pain from those who hurt her. "The ******** is wrong with me? I don't like energy thieves... And I don't take flowers from anyone but my partner." Or her brother, in the right situation, but that was far too much identity to mention to someone touched by Chaos. Instead of accepting the flower, she moved into a balanced stance for fighting, getting her fists ready, before smirking. "Shall we dance, then?"

Well, s**t. People usually had more of a reaction to Ariadne's magic than that--some kind of pain or something, even if they didn't take the stupid flower.
Annoying. Maybe this girl was just really good at hiding it and really really contrary.
(Maybe Ariadne could respect that, a little. She too was not fond of any kind of authority.)
"Real egotistical to think I'd be offering it to you that way," she said, airily, as if she was above the entire concept. But oh well, no magic, fine. She kept backing away, though, eyes darting around to see if she could spot her mirrorwraith and make a break in its direction. Mostly, her goal was to get out with the energy she'd collected intact; anything else was just bonus.
"Anyway, no I ******** do not want to dance, you're the one who came running at me out of nowhere just because you assumed what I was doing!" Totally correctly, but that was so not the point.

"I didn't say it was that way, just that I don't take flowers from anyone but him. I've said it to religious idiots trying to get me to buy flowers too." A slight smirk crossed her face at that. "Great way to annoy them, and tell them to ******** right off." And then she barked a disgusted laugh as she moved in closer to the other girl, her arms shifting into position before she launched a punch towards the Chaos b***h's chest. A sternum hit would be nice, but at the moment Cheom would be good with anything. "I know what Chaos does, and that's all I need to know to 'assume' what you were up to. Ain't no point in being out here all dolled up as a senshi if you're not, after all."

Ariadne rolled her eyes and made a yappy hands motion, about the extent of her desire to acknowledge what this stupid sparkly princess in her cute starry little dress was saying.
Unfortunately, yappy hands were not a defense, and she took the hit to her chest with a startled exhale and an upset little "ow!!"
"Uh, what if I just think I look hot all dolled up with magic? Not everything is about duty and sacrifice and whatever." Again: she had totally been called out on exactly what she was doing, but that didn't mean she had to admit to it.
she lashed out with a solid kick aimed at the other girl's gut, because maybe she could wind her that way, with her chunky heels.
"You are just incapable of considering you might be wrong, huh?"
