Winters stopped where she was and swallowed, crossing her arms over her chest and looking at the ground, something shiny catching her eye. It was another star charm, the crimson one this time. Carefully she picked it up and rubbed the dirt off, and then kept going towards the aura. If it was her cousin. She could just hand over the star charm as an apology. No harm no foul.
Of course, the pretty girl in the fantastic outfit was not Mads, so that made things far easier. “Wow! Love the ruffles!”

The summer night sky was one of the reasons Weser had been out and about more often. It being summer break, which meant more time for things besides school, was the other. So Weser had snuck out again and settled herself somewhere quiet and with a great view. She knew with her energy signature there was no way no one would notice her, though there was a small part of her that was hoping they might leave her to her thoughts.
She'd been having curious ones lately, though she'd been happy to distract herself with her latest room design project, summer projects, new woobles, or even extra flute lessons when her teacher could squeeze her in. Mostly about her dreams, occasionally about her family or her friends. Strange what-ifs and worries that seemed to come out of nowhere, though she had a feeling it had to do with the dread she always woke up with after one of those dreams.
"Nightmares" was probably more accurate, actually.
The teen sighed and turned her head slightly when she realized someone was heading toward her. Their greeting was bright and energetic, to which Weser smiled softly and gave a slight bow of her head.
"Thanks. I love your skirt, too," she returned, looking curiously at her newfound companion. "Christmas in July is way under-celebrated in my opinion."

“I think it is too, not that I really picked out my outfit but I'm not mad about it at all. It makes me look super attractive.”
She did a little twirl and absolutely preened. “I’m Winters, Senshi of Tradition, and I totally belong out here. My cousins are like you, Knights or something? You’re so much more stylish than they are. What kind of Knight are you? It’s nice to meet you.”
It was good to meet people who were kind of close-ish to her age…at least this girl looked it…thought it might have been the clothing…she knew her own clothing made her look older and really she loved that aspect too.
“The sky’s so pretty tonight, isn’t it?”

"Knight, yes," she said, grinning as she admired the other as she twirled about to show off her outfit. Weser had to agree—it was a cute outfit. And flattering, too. "Of Lysithea," she soon added, to answer her next question. "It's lovely to meet you, too! And thanks for the compliment. I haven't met too many other knights so I don't really know, but I couldn't agree with you more."
Weser giggled at that, and then waved her newfound friend over and patted the spot just beside her. "About the night sky, too. I snuck out to admire it, actually. Every summer I always catch at least one meteor shower."
Which was true enough, though usually she did it with family. This year she had the unique ability of going out on her own, though not because her parents were actually okay with it but mainly because she finally felt safe enough to do it (thanks to being magical and all that). And alone, she could think out loud a little bit more, though she didn't mind having some magical company.
And actually...
"Hey," she said after a brief silence. "Can I ask you a maybe really personal question? It's about being a senshi..."

“I mean, I can’t guarantee that I’ll know the answer? I’m still like, really pretty new to all of it, but I don’t mind personal questions at all.” Winters smiled brightly, feeling pleased that this girl wanted her to answer a question. It was like she was smart or popular or something.
It felt nice.
“You don’t have to sound so awkward about it either, we’re friends now, right?” It wasn’t…a trick question. She just wanted it to be true. Older, pretty girls? She could get help becoming popular if she had older, cool friends! It was a win/win!

Her expression softened when Winters very comfortably called them "friends" even though they'd just met. Personally she'd always been mindful of the word; the caution had come naturally to her as she got older. It was partly because her parents had always warned her to be careful, and partly from her own personal experience. Though in the magical world she doubted money had more to do with making friends than someone's strength.
"It's just 'cause it feels personal," was her reply, and she looked down at her hands as she said it. "Anyway. Um. Well. Okay. I know you said you're new so maybe you can't answer this yet, but I wanna ask anyway. But what's your homeworld like? Is there...like...stuff there? Not just nature stuff like mountains and that kind of thing. I mean stuff like buildings and that sort of thing."

“Oh,” WInters shook her head, looking a little sheepish. “I haven’t, actually been anywhere? I’m still really new at this, but my cousins have told me a little about space. Maybe I'll think about going, but I’m not like, completely sure how. Have you been? What’s it like? If it’s like…different places, I would assume it could be like anything but…yeah. I can let you know when I do though! If you still were curious?”
If they could stay friends like this, she would absolutely do so.
“Have you been to Space at all?”
