The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to 'grant' it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it!
Alastor had been the first person Solaris had sent the photos to from her first flight in the Kyrval. Kyrie sitting in the cockpit in the flight suit with the helmet off, eyes glossy and red-rimmed, her face split by the biggest smile. And behind her, peachy toned skies of her homeworld, fluffy clouds below and above her as the ship coasted through an empty central zone. Other photos of glimpses of some of the floating islands, one photo of a clear view down to the lower lands and ocean below. Various photos of the consoles working and the warm pale light of the sun gleaming off the metal surfaces.
She'd shared them with others, too, but he'd been the first on her list.
After a few more test flights to confirm the first positive wasn't a fluke, and a few more flights starting to really push the scanners and systems on the ship as she began to search for that damned Chaos...
Well. She was beginning to form vague maps of the world's current state in small doses from each flight, but as for the actual location of all her problems, it seemed like it would be a process of elimination at this point.
Which did have the benefit of her at least being able to have some time between flights to stay on Earth for a bit, remind herself she had a life she could still live, and people she wanted to spend that time with. With Starfest in full swing, it'd also granted her a rather unique opportunity.
Devyn had put up a flying wish for the wishing tree. Kyrie had pounced on it immediately, and while she could have used her flight lessons to take a guest along on a flight there on Earth... nope.
Waiting for a free schedule moment had been arguably the worst of it, and second that moment hit, she was nearly hopping about with excitement. Nearly. The balls of her feet didn't come off the ground yet.
Teleporting back to the hangar, skies pale and warm where gaps in the cloud cover allowed them to peek through, Kyrie had zipped into the large building, flicking the button to open the hangar door for the ship, and began to poke around her compiled repaired flight suits. One looked to be Devyn's size when comparing length, and it seemed the suit was also broad enough for him. "I've only found so many," she'd sighed, passing him the suit, gloves, and boots before grabbing her own. "And only found so much for scrap material to do repairs on the fabrics and membrane of the parachutes. The tech bits for the seals I was able to get some stuff from Earth, at least."
She kicked off her boots she'd been wearing on Earth, stepping into the suit and unrolling it up herself till she could slip her arms in, and adjust the openings in the back to her wings. Various buckles, straps, zips, all hung about her as she worked. The thicker metal along the ends of the suit--its corresponding halves of the seals to everything else, linked into place as she pulled on her boots.
"How're you doing? Size okay?"
