The Wishing Tree (2) : Your wish is only said to come true if you grant the wish of someone else; when you write your wish, you must also take one off of the tree and do your best to grant it. What wish do you pull off, and how do you intend to 'grant' it? Do you work with someone else to grant this wish, or do you work alone? You may get approval from another player to use the wish their character hung up, but no names are attached so your character may not ever know who wrote it!

Flint’s accountant eas hgaving an absolute fit at Flint all morning when Flint walked in with one of the wishes from the wishing tree and the kind of gleam in his eye warning he was about to spend more than his accountant felt wise on something publically wanted wit5hout being approached directly bvut… Flint had a few billion. He really did not give a s**t. Hell, his investments were rising, he was determioned to use his money sohis profit was theCity’s… Especially now with the Star Festival, and this wish made his heart warm. So he’d calmly told his accountant to simply prepare for the3 numbers and made his first call.

The Destiny City Zoio was not a famous Zoo but they did serviuce a large audience, with a lot of the usualanimals and echibvits in comfortable accomodation.Flint had donate3d considerablyin the past, too. When they needed money for expansion, he donated generously. When they n4eeded informationon some animal, he arranged it with another Zoo in the area and aconservatory group. This year the Zoo had been donated arare red wolf pup. Or rather, apair of siblings. No parents – some hunter had shot them and seized the pups to raise for fur, effectively, paching, and one arrest later whenhis friend, whom refused to heklp, reported it, the pupswere in the Zoo’s care, exhibit large and comfortable, but… The pups only had keepers. This species wascritically endangered and someone wished the Zoo could help thepups. Flint had the connections to help grant it. Most donated to help the Zoo sourceadults, Flint? Had connections and finance both, and had placed a call to the west coast, explaining the siotuation and E-mailed photos discreetely taken of the exhibit. Perfecxt. Natural, ample space, so much of iut it could do what Flint was hoping. Sustain a pack of breeding wolves, if only the pups had a pack. Had parents. And fresh genes were amazing for conservation. So he called the one place he knew would have the resources needed to launch a national effort. Of course the San Duiego Zoo practically launched at the chance to save the pups and Flint persoinally hired a private plane to transport several yopung adults of age to adopt, and contacted the Destiny City Zoo that they had adults coming to prepare for. It took but a matter of a couple weeks. The San Diego Zoo had to assess thingws, including thewir own aniomals – highly generous but Flint paid for each animal and informed the Destiny City Zoo to prepare their donations for the red wolves’ arrival and enrichment, the director unde3rsytandably shocked, but elated.

Fliunt was with the man and the handlers as the plane landed, that seed filled paper in hand.A child’sscrawl.

‘Please help the new red wolf puppies’. Simple. Innocent. Maybe hoping for a few dollars, not a full effort to coordinate a founding pair of wolves with plans to add to the pack later. Not the arrival of experts from the San Diego Zoo to help the Destiny City Zoo prepare for care and for the supervision of creating a new pack.Flint’s accopuntant could have his fits. This was more important. Plus… Flint’sinvestments spiked that morning and gods help him if it didn’t cover what he just spent, because San Diego was quick to donate some of their own spare resources. A breeding poopulation would help a species and aided in funding for the Destiny City Zoo. It helped those orphaned puppies as the new pack was iuntropduced to Destiny City.

Flint sighed as ghe walked the throngs. Known for a fashion CEO,nobody woiuld expect he was into ethical sourcing and accepted artificial fur for exotic prints, it was alimit. Do no harm, to the environment, and Flint was delighted by the festive air, stars all over. As Flint bent to collect an Emerald Star Charm, he turned tosee a little girl with her mother, clutching a red wolf plush and smiling in sheer joy, and Dlint smiled himself, wondering. For all he knew, it was her wish, and that evening, Flint knelt, buryingf the seed paper on his front yard garden, marking the space for his gardeners.

Flint never asked praise as he snapped the emerald star charm he found earlier to his key ring. Those happy faces, the joy thoise pups exhibited meeting new pack, and, when he waspermitted one moment to hold the pups himself, to feel thoselittle formspress to his chest? That was enough.

His accopuntant just didn’t understand the valueof a fewdollars. Or a few thousand.. Or… hundred thousand.
