The Caves (5) : To any explorers visiting the new Reservoir, they may find that just a bit away from the sandy water are a set of caves. Some of these connect back to the lake, but others rapidly plunge into darkness. It wouldn't be hard to get lost in here, but thankfully there are some very odd lights to help guide you out. If you turn off your light down some of these dark paths, you may find yourself surrounded by glowing pastel lights. A closer inspection reveals that you seem to be looking at some sort of glowing caterpillars. An internet search will reveal that Destiny City scientists have been researching the strange, unnamed creatures, but the articles are very limited. If you take them out of the cave they seem to shrivel up almost immediately. They're neat, but clearly meant to be stay in their natural habitat.
It had been a while since Sailor Bacchus had felt the sensation of wet stone under the heels of his boots, though it wasn’t easy to say exactly how long. Centuries, it seemed, made the years blend one into the other. At least enough time had passed to make this feel like a new experience. The strange glowing…things…were definitely a novelty, if he’d ever seen anything like them they were long since lost to the slurry of years behind him. They might be alive, couldn’t say for sure if they weren’t.
Better not step of them. ******** things.
Envy twitched within him for the dizzying array of life Earth yet had. Much as he resented that other planet, it still felt unfair. A tiny screwcap bottle materialized in his hand, its contents burning their way down his throat as quickly as their vessel disappeared back into his subspace. He coughed at the sudden intrusion of a Chaos energy signature meandering toward him. It was as good a distraction as any, all he had to do was sit and wait for its owner.

Dzhalindite thought that maybe the caves might have something she could use to steal energy so that was what she was doing today. She didn't really think of the possibility of running into an order member, but she wasn't afraid of them anyway. When she got her weapon to a more powerful state she would be ready to kick some major but. She entered the cave and started to look around for stone or gems. Dz walked into the darkness and quickly felt the order energy and she rolled her eyes seriously, couldn't these guys take a day off so she could gather energy in peace??
She continued on anyway; she wasn't afraid, and she wasn't going to run away like a coward. She had a plan, and she was going to try to reason with this sucker. After all, they were all goodie-two-shoes, do-gooders. So they couldn't hurt her without a reason, right? That would be naughty, and they didn't want to be naughty, right? She laughed to herself at the idea. It was really funny after all. She skipped down the path till she came to the do gooder in question. "Hi, fancy beating you here." She said in a mocking tone.
Caught off guard by the agent’s greeting Bacchus let out a sputtering laugh, it was more like something out of one a paper theatre performance, or out of the “movies” he’d watched than something he’d expected to hear in real life. The deep space senshi couldn’t help but appreciate the whimsy of the moment, vaguely remembering an old play where the villain made a similar comment or two. It was difficult to imagine himself as the cunning hero in that story, but he could probably manage something more suited to his particular skillset, limited as his options may be.
It would be easy to shove the agent down one of the dark passageways, couldn’t drain anyone down there except perhaps the worms, and she wouldn’t be able to get much out of them. He still didn’t have the stomach to do much worse and he couldn’t help but be disgusted with that. Even the thought made him want to retch, the smell of blood remained carved into his memory despite the passing of the years. Not that the stranger needed to know that, as far as he was concerned it was best for everyone that she believe him unhinged and capable of anything. The possibility that this strategy could backfire lingered in the distant corners of his mind, but he considered the risk worth any potential trouble.
“I think we could both do better than that.” He circled the agent, trying to assess any potential weaknesses in her position. It had been too long since he’d engaged in an actual physical fight, but he thought that might be more of a deterrent than the gleeful haze that came with his magical abilities. “At least you’re optimistic.”
That was more than he could say for himself, admittedly, but whatever discouraging thoughts drifted through his mind were less pressing than the rage quietly building within him. With a quick lunge, he attempted to give the agent a stiff shove.

Dz was still a newbie, but she had a lot of confidence. She couldn't teleport yet, so she had to be careful with fighting this guy since she didn't know what their power level was. Dz most likely had a bunch of openings for attacks since she was still not a great fighter but she would do her best and fight as hard as she could to prove her point that she was powerful. She loved the idea of gaining power and using it to hold power over others. It made sense to her. Perhaps it was harsh and heartless, but that was kinda the person Dz had been before she had been offered this power in the beginning.
She cocked her eyebrow, "What do you mean we could both do better?" She asked curiously. Dz attempted to dodge the attack but she didn't dodge perfectly and was knocked off balance. "Attacking already? That dosen't seem very nice, I thought you order guys were nice." She taunted at them.
“I’m plenty ******** nice, but whoever told you everyone would tolerate ******** was either stupid or lying.” A snarl curled his lip as he spoke, rage smoldering within him. He wondered if the woman thought she was special in drawing out what was already burning beneath the surface. It was only a matter of time at any given moment, and these agents of Chaos were about the best places to vent that fury. At least on the parts of Earth he knew how to access, given the chance he’d figure out how to kill whatever wad of ******** gave them their orders. He smirked slightly at the idea of them scattering, fighting amongst themselves to fill the power vacuum, maybe even destroying each other. It was a nice fantasy, anyway, a boy could dream.
He wasn’t about to feed her more than he already had, forced himself to turn to stone, expression hardening as he shouted “Dizzying Mirth!” Hoping to press whatever advantage his magic gave him, he moved swiftly in an effort to sweep the stranger’s legs out from under her.
Dizzying Mirth
Sailor Bacchus raises his arms, emitting a shining mist from between them and a raucous melody floats through the air. Enemies engulfed in the mist find themselves compelled to join in the revelry, overwhelmed with a sense of giddiness, disorientation, and a powerful urge to dance to the music. This pushes aside other thoughts and makes it very difficult to engage in combat. Through force of will, they may be able to shake the feeling and resume combat.

Dz was caught in the effect of the magic; it was so annoying being up against someone who had magic like this when all she had was her strength for now. She was open to another attack, stuck in the effects of their spell. She didn't have much she could do at the moment since she really couldn't think clearly. Dancing around like a fool. She would have made plans, but she couldn't at the moment. Dz waited for the effects to end, and then she would figure out if she could attack or make a run for it. It was also annoying that new nega soldiers couldn't teleport either. Dz couldn't wait till she gained more power so she could show all those who put her down how wrong they were.
Disgust washed over Bacchus as his magic caught the agent in its gleeful grasp.
Directed at himself, mostly.
For the twinge of pity he felt.
The all too familiar that twisted within his chest.
Not for her.
Having any sort of edge in combat was only distantly familiar and the memories still rose sick and writhing in his throat as he watched the stranger.
The newly healed fingers of his left hand twitched, clenched into a fist.
“Get the ******** out of here.”
He spat the words at her, furious at his own reluctance in the face of this parasitic evil.

Dz was annoyed, but she wasn't powerful enough yet to argue, so she jumped away when he gave her permission to go. After all everyone knew that this battle was never-ending, she didn't think anyone ever really won. (Fin)
