Conecpt:
A pride that is pretty much strictly all females. There is no hate for males they just don’t usually allow them to stay. They would be ran by a head female called The Tamettut (Tuareg - Algeria, Mali & Niger): The Tuareg are historically a well-known matrilineal society where women have held high political and social status, and Tamettut is used to describe a powerful, noble woman who stabilizes the culture. They have a mostly peaceful disposition but if threatened if given reason for way they will not back down from the fights if need be.
Structure: they are ruled by one main female and her council.
Being the daughter of the Tamettut (head female) doesn’t automatically make the offspring next in line for rulership. There are 2 other females that with the Tamettut make up the council, more members may be added as they grow. It is the other members of council that are next in line for Tamettut if something were to happen, starting with the most experienced council members.
No matter your color, no matter your species, all females are welcome!
Only males that will be accepted is thru rp and if the Tamettut is convinced but good luck.
Some of the Prides females form groups called Families where all of the family members are very close in some way.
The council does not govern Families and how they choose to run things.
Breeding: the members of the Mamamkuu can either go mate outside of the pride or go find a male to bring back with her to breed for not just her but for several females before the male is made to leave usually. IF a male is lowed to reside within the Pride, he can breed with literally anyone who shows interest within the Pride as long as he isn’t related to them. He would not be permitted to breed outside the Pride.
Males: Males, if any, that are allowed to stay in the Pride are called Kiana and not only have breeding rights to the higher ranked females but will almost be charged with the proper protection over the Pride.
Female Ranks:
Below are the listed ranks from highest to lowest rank for adults, followed by the adolescent ranks and cub.
These titles only apply to females as males have a single rank.
Tamettut - head female and head of council, serving as the Prides “Queen”
Mjuzi - held by only a Mandrill and is the only Mjuzi in the pride, deals with medicine and visions, high rank only fillable by the Prides Mjuzi owned by me.
Mothusi - directly under the head female and usually a compounding member, high rank only obtainable thru rp.
Jemadari - 3rd highest rank held, essentially the commander of their guards/military ect, high rank only obtainable via rp.
Aja - warriors, guards, soldiers if need be, they patrol borders, scout for food or resources, and operate order the command of the Jamedari. Medium rank.
Onye - the Huntresses and gatherers of food and resources, filling the needs of the Pride, Medium rank.
Utishala - The mentors and teachers of the next generation of lionesses. They teach the Prides young from the time they are adolescents and even have some classes for the adults too, depending if they plan to teach, become a Jemadari or have more to do with cub raising and breeding or becoming an Onye. Medium rank.
Uwa - primarily a breeder, defiantly a good rank for a lioness who just wants to have babies, tons of them. Just simply having a littler doesn’t make one an Uwa, it’s a low rank that is better suited for those who don’t want or have problems carrying other Pride duties and just want the babies.
The Uwa also double as Nannie’s for cubs of other Pridemates.
Wasomi - the highest rank held by an Adolescent. Obtainable thru rp, this rank is for ones chosen for special training like they show the best promise as a fighter or in politics. Many council members were this rank as a teen. Medium rank
Ujana - the rank that most adolescents carry unless they are marked for specialty training. Low rank
Males won’t receive the same training as females but they are at least taught how to fend for themselves before they grow up and are sent away.
Utoto - all cubs are this rank by default until they grow, low rank.
