The Fireflies (6) : In the warm summer nights, little glowing lights begin to bob and dart through the city. Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see a blue one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. This isn't the first time they've appeared in Destiny City, but no one's been able to tell where they came from or where they're going. No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers.
BERTRAM’s beak tore through the thick plastic of the black bag that hid the treasure he knew his friends craved. Rising within the green box, he gazed down upon the range of bright and eager eyes set in the grey and black faces that watched him in restless anticipation. With a final heave he freed the sack from its metal casing, scattering their delicious contents across the asphalt. The giant penguin watched in delight as the animals swarmed the bounty discarded by the ungrateful denizens of the mass of bricks and glass until the presence of something foul interrupted their feast.
Something mean and nasty and bad was approaching.
Even the senshi who occasionally passed the Rift felt like the tail end of a bad dream, but whoever this one was, they threatened the peace of the alley with their evil magic. BERTRAM hopped easily from within the box, prepared to defend this place with his life.

Totoro hummed as he walked down the sidewalk humming in his fuku that looked very much like a raccoon.
There was a pause as he noticed something odd not far away, it looked really large and like... a penguin? He tilted his head as he carefully walked up.
He'd heard about some crazy chicken and was sure he'd run into it at least once but nothing about a penguin. Maybe this was something different??
He noticed there was a box not far away either. "Hello?" He ventured wondering if this bird could speak maybe? Or he paused, maybe it was a youma but he'd never seen such a large one before. Usually they were much weirder in his opinion.
BERTRAM cocked his head to one side, then the other, overcome by a confusion too deep to name as he scrutinized the newcomer. Bending forward, face turned to watch whatever the strange creature might do.
It felt like a senshi but tried to hide its itchy aura behind its attempt to disguise itself as a friend. The raccoons didn’t believe this trickery, though they continued to watch curiously from the safety of the gathered boxes and bins scattered through the alley.
Determined to ensure that they stayed safe from the wiles of this crafty intruder, he dove onto his belly, sliding toward the senshi.

Totoro was watching BERTRAM and the raccoons that were in the alleyway. He wanted to pull out some snacks he had with him and offer it to the raccoons and this weirdly large penguin creature.
However, his thoughts were cut short as he noticed the penguin staring at him with it's head cocked to the side and suddenly moving. When the youma dove onto it's belly and slid towards him the chibi squeaked before jumping onto a garbage can trying to escape the belly slide and he called his attack.
"Dousing touch!" He said hoping it would actually hit the penguin instead of backfiring in some way. Worse case he'd just have to punch the youma but if he could make it more sensitive to touch it'd at least be easier to make it waddle off maybe?
"Look I don't want to fight you -- penguin creature. I just wanted to hang out." He added with a frown but it was probably too late for that now. He wondered if this creature was similar to the chicken that was rumored to wonder around last year and apparently was back this year.
tabSuper Sailor Scout Attack: Dousing Touch When Sailor Totoro calls this attack he can choose two targets. This target becomes sensitive to being touched. This attack causes them to be 50% as sensitive. So if they're given a normal punch, that might would cause them to say 'ow' this would hurt 50% as much than it normally would. This attack increases the sensitivity to magic that touches the target's skin - however, it doesn't increase the damage. There's also a small chance this attack could backfire on Tortoro and not work, or hit someone other than his intended target (including teammates).
Totoro can use this attack 2 times and the effect lasts for 25 seconds.
Frustration surged within BERTRAM as the enormous youma skidded past his foe, his slippery efforts thwarted for the moment. He vaguely remembered a visit to a brightly lit room, a room quickly vacated by its inhabitants upon his arrival through the glass of their back door. As they hurried off to meet some other obligation, he’d noticed that they’d left behind one of those bright rectangular windows all the other humans were so fond of, though the window itself was of less interest than the secrets it revealed. A fast…car…pretty and red, sped past its target only to perform an impressive spin and overtake its enemy, rescuing their friends and saving the day. BERTRAM could only try to be as valiant as those heroes for his own. Inspired by the memory he executed a similar maneuver as he reached the end of his ice path. Spinning on the questionable axis of his belly gem, he reoriented himself to face the senshi, kicking his feet to propel himself forward as quickly as he could as the ice melted beneath him before drawing himself to his full height.
The sound of the senshi’s voice only served to further confuse the enormous youma, as did the sudden increase intensity of the ground against his feet. Hopping from side to side, he all but lost interest in the senshi, determined to identify the source of the problem. A hiss escaped him in the hopes of intimidating this unseen attacker.

Totoro watched as the enormous youma slide past him and he was watching curiously trying to avoid the large penguin youma. He didn't want to be taken out by the critter so he wasn't going to go down without a fight but he still was reluctant to fight it for some reason.
He moved back and watched as his attack seemed to do something to the youma. Perhaps confused it? That would be at least interesting and the chibi senshi was looking to see if he could find something to help him battle the youma. He moved to snag a trashcan lid holding it up as sort of a shield just in case the penguin's attention came back to him.
He also pulled some fish from his subspace because he'd been shopping for his mom and was on the way home when he ran into this whole little cluster of things.
BERTRAM’s focus locked on to the familiar sight that materialized in the strange senshi’s hand, gaze burning into the fish.
A peace offering?
Maybe a present for the real raccoons?
The youma clacked curiously as he leaned forward to examine the treasure the false raccoon carried. As he prepared to accept it on their behalf, a shock of bright lights dazzled his vision.
Beak opening in awe, BERTRAM turned to face their comrades, eyes wide.
Overwhelmed with wonder and foe forgotten, the penguin waddled off into the night in pursuit of this new adventure.

Totoro watched as BERTRAM's attention and focus locked onto the fish. It seemed like it was working as a peach offering the chibi stood still waiting for the Youma to decide what to do with the gift.
Something happened Totoro blinked and watched as brightly colored fireflies interrupted and drew the penguin youma away. Totoro watched curiously as the penguin waddled away and a blue firefly hovering around him before it took off.
The raccoons seemed to be long gone, Totoro put the fish back into his subspace and made his escape off in a different way towards his home. On his way away from the area the penguin youam was in Totoro stumbled upon an opal star charm and picked up it looking at it curiously.
