XXXXXXXXXXThe Background

    Significant Other: None
Family: Ari (Mother/Creator), Scarlet (Mother Genetic), Altair (Father)
    Bio:

His ‘birth’ can be described as a comical catastrophe. Alshain was willed into existence by his mother, Ari, who could best be described as a child like goddess. After his birth, he was shown to his father, Altair and told he was their son, much to Altiar's shock and confusion. After being deeply interrogated by the wayward goddess keeper, Scarlet, Altair was found to be innocent of touching the goddess in such a manner. This led to problems with Alshain himself, since he was and wasn't physically real, and his genetics being a full clown of his human father, and then nothing the next moment. These issues made Scarlet want to take Alshain away to a place to grow and develop, somewhere where Alshain's incomplete divinity could be stripped away. Altair, fearing that Alshain would be taken forever refused, showing his own power as mage, nearly crushing Altair's on home with the pressure from his rampaging mana. Altair and Scarlet agreed to try to find another work around. The first compromise was that Ari, the childlike goddess, would be banished and kept away from Alshain. Scarlet feared Ari may unintentionally harm the baby, or possibly worse, try to re-absorb the divinity she used to create Alshain in the first place. In turn, Altair received magical food to extend Alshain's time. In that time Altair dived deep into realm magic, trying to find any kind of information for him to save Alshain, spending every waking moment searching. In this time, Altair eventually connected his own thoughts to his home's advanced quantum computer, using its resources to search faster and parse out all the information. This was all for not, as eventually an Elder deity caught wind of Alshain and appeared. Scarlet acquiesced, but Altair couldn't stand his own failure, refused, and was reminded how far below humans were to a deity. Alshain was taken, though even now he has no recollection, just that Scarlet accompanied him. Altair for his part, activated every magic he knew trying to follow, only to be shredded apart, still he pushed even further, expending all of his mana, even his life force itself. As his life force was draining away, the deities Altair worshipped, who remained quiet up till this point, forcibly removed him. In Altiar's crazed state, he managed to rip divinity away from his own gods, empowering himself. This was catastrophic for not only Altair but Alshain. Altair began to change, becoming a chimera creature of wolf and serpent, merging the divinity he held onto to become a demigod. Altair of course lost all his mana and magic, and was immediately thrown back to his own room. For Alshain, these transformations were much worse than losing magic. He had maintained his form by mimicking his father, began to warp and misshapen, his own divinity fading faster. To prevent this, Alshain connected himself to Scarlet, setting her as his mother, and using his last shards of divinity to make him blend of her true dragon self and Altair's chimera. After this harrowing sight, the Elder deity began the work to stabilize Alshain and make him real.

The next few years are hard for Alshain to explain. He remembers his mother, Scarlet being there but not his father. He spent his time slowly developing like a normal baby, even rejoining his father after a few years. At that point he had to visit the far off realm, and now lived with his father permanently, with Scarlet joining them. As he grew, he spent more time with both of them, and came to realize that while both cared for him, they would rather tear each other's throats out.

After moving to his father's home, Alshain spent the next few years being trained by Scarlet and his father on how to fight in both forms. As he grew more comfortable with his forms, Altair took Alshain to different realms, traveling together, just exploring. During these trips, he would discover his love of plants, and botany. Each time they came back, Alshain would excitedly tell his mother about the adventures and she would do the same. But Alshain could see that each time he returned, he reflected older in her eyes, and she had her own wanderlust that was growing. After one particular long trip she was gone. Alshain accused his father of chasing her off, saying that Altair never loved or respected her. Altair stayed quiet, because it was true he never loved Scarlet, and in the beginning tried to chase her off, he had stopped long before this point. Altair figured that Scarlet felt Alshain was old enough, and she didn't need to be his mother anymore, but Altair could never destroy Alshain's vision of her like that and decided to keep his mouth shut. Altair took the abuse, but calmly reminded Alshain he was a child. After this, their relationship fractured as they continued on traveling the realms. On Alshain's sixteenth birthday, Altair took him to a godly realm, visiting an old friend of Altair's who owed him. Demanding payment in the form of an artifact, they god took some of Alshain's feathers, fur from Altair, and a scale from Scarlet, slowly using these items and metal to form a straight odadachi, named ‘Lycdma Gao’, gifting it to Alshain. When Alshain drew the blade, it disassembled, forming an odd shape before opening a door to a new realm. Walking through, the god explained this realm existed inside the sword, a small place for only Alshain and his guest, to be used how Alshain pleased. The blade also could open doors to other realms, allowing Alshain to travel on his own. After returning home, Alshain was excited, explaining with this he could search for his mother. Altair refused, saying that wasn't what the gift was for, and that Alshain should let his mother go. Enraged, they started arguing until finally Alshain used the sword, vanishing into the realms, Altair sitting alone in his once busy bar home.

After that Alshain took to trying to find his mother, scouring realm after realm, spending a century of his time. During these travels, he interacted with various species, but slowly became inclined towards spending time with dragons. Alshain finally found, after all his searching, another version or clone of his mother. He didn't get close, but watched her and her children, before turning in disgust, unable to handle the feelings he held. As he was preparing to leave, the woman somehow approached without him noticing him. She smiled at him and explained that she was not his mother, but she was once the same person. Before Alshain was born, they two of them shared one body, but eventually were split into two separate beings not long after he was born. Scarlet was the one who visited him and bonded with him, while Red, the one speaking, went off with her own lover. His mother had visited Red, leaving a gift and a message for Alshain. The gift was a dragon scale bound book, the message was to stop looking, be done, he was an adult. Red also passed a letter from Altair to him, and wished him safe travels before returning to her family.

Alshain, feeling lost and adrift without purpose, read his father's letter. It spoke of their old home they had both abandoned and a present waiting there. Using his sword, Alshain arrived at the run down bar, finding it disheartening how abandoned and dilapidated it had become. Pushing his way in, he was flooded by old memories, but was surprised out of his revelry as holographic screens blinked to life, the slumbering computer awakening to him. A message played from Altair, explaining how to disconnect the massive computer and move it to Alshain's private realm. Alshain never knew how big it really was, and it took a while to disconnect it. As he did, the place he knew as home began to turn to ash and dust. This mix slowly was absorbed into the computer as the massive device rose, the diameter of it was twelve feet wide, while it finally reached full height it was easily over two hundred feet tall with more still in the ground. Using his sword, he moved this system into his realm, where it somehow slotted in, as if it was always meant to be. Once Alshain entered, numerous screens appeared, marking the Master of the Realm, and allowing him to alter this space how he wished, as well as design the building around the core. Seeing the possibilities, Alshain began the task, spending much more time than one would think designing how he would use the space. The realm being more massive than he thought, meant he had to focus on a smaller area, but once done, he created a space to become a perfect garden. The dust taken in by the core, as well as the sand in the realm moved and shifted, forming first a larger, prismatic crystal around the core, which slowly formed a tower. Then three concentric rings then formed, water flowing down from the tower, filling them. Soil shifted and changed into gardening plots. Alshain stood atop his tower, beaming with pride as he looked over it all, his mind racing with ideas, listing realms he had to get plants and trees from.

As he was thinking, he heard a loud click come from the core, as it seemingly shifted, forming a stairwell that circled down into it. Altair has always warned that the interior of the quantum computer was mind shatteringly big and the complexity of it was the stuff of nightmares, so much Altair explained its creation left Altair mental for more time than he liked. Alshain built his resolve, walking down the stairs, coming to a stop on a platform that seemed to float above a massive array of crystals and circuitry that went to the horizon and beyond. As he looked out, he could feel and see space warp and shift its shape into multi dimensional patterns, which made Alshain feel sick. He turned his attention to the pedestal on the platform, which had a golden, ceremonial gauntlet. Looking it over, he saw golden claws that would slip over his human fingers, with chains leading to a bracelet that would go around his wrist, as well as a clear gem that would sit in the palm of his hand. Picking it up, a little hologram of his father appeared, explaining the gauntlet was what he called an overgrimoire, which housed every spell Altair ever learned, seen or stolen. As the messsge played, Altair explained that Alshain's home was reshaping its lower portion to a massive library filled with grimoires, tomes, spellbooks of various authors, and the Overgrimoire could pull any of them out but only after Alshain reached a certain level of understanding. Altair finished off that the computer and the overgrimoire were both his final gifts to Alshain, but Alshain should visit him sometime, leaving coordinates of his new home.

Alshain put the overgrimoire on, and headed downstairs, adding his mother's book to the shelf, next to the book of magic written by his father. Looking at the shelves, he felt overwhelmed at first, but soon resolved himself to study all of them. Heading to the tower, he began the journey of gathering all he wanted to fill this space with. Spending centuries, he studies not only spell works, but also the plants he gathered, spending time with dragons, the only ones he allowed in the realm, as well as the two children of Red, letting them enter this spending time tutoring them, as they aged slower than even him.

Alshain rather enjoyed being alone most of the time, until recently, as it seems some vermin have found a way into his home.

Oh boy! Wrote too much, and its filled with old Gaia cringe. Read at own risk.
