Waiting until he was far enough from work and from the university, he then powered up and gave his cube that usual look to try and see if he could decipher anything for himself this time. It wasn’t going well, to say the least, especially as he felt something else around. It wasn’t a good feeling, which meant he wasn’t going to make it to his wonder tonight, most likely. It felt like that one guy whom he’d interrupted a week before, but worse somehow.
Looking around, he tried to see where that bad feeling came from so he could try to run the exact opposite direction. “Everything about this sucks…”
—-------------------------------------
Pezz was a bit on the bored side.
Being captain meant that she had more to do power wise, but this also meant that she had other responsibilities that she didn't want. Well, given the fact that she could feel a rather weak signature nearby, which meant that she was suddenly about to find her entertainment. She kept walking until she managed to make it in front of where the page was, summoning her weapon. “Hello there~” without warning, she charged forward, weapon raised for a nice baseball swing.
—-------------------------------------
He’d been looking the other way mostly when he saw movement out of the corner of his eye. Something moving way fast and he scrambled to try and dodge while throwing that cube of his right at his attacker’s face. It wasn’t a great plan and he felt the hit glance off his shoulder, something he would definitely be feeling for awhile as he tried to keep moving.
It was only after he got a step away, not really too far but out of swinging range hopefully, that he noticed that they had an odd weapon too. Though theirs seemed like it did more than just exist like his did. Groaning as he palmed at his shoulder and took another step back, he really didn’t like this situation.
“Can we avoid all this, I wasn’t going to disrupt whatever you were doing.”
—----------------------------------------------------
Ah…
Yeah this would be an easy starseed if she played her cards right.
Pezz tilted her head, smiling. “Oh? I’d say your existence disrupts whatever I'm doing…” She teleported right behind the knight, leaning forward to whisper, “Which means I would need to get rid of you so you cant ruin my night anymore right?” She stepped back just a bit and swung her candle stick, aiming for the back of the knight’s head.
—-------------------------
The second she vanished, he already started to move and yeeted the cube at her while doing so. He didn't exactly care if it hit her, as long as it distracted her, because he didn’t really feel like this was someone he could talk his way out of getting beaten up by.
If anything, he had height on his side, though whatever she had done to just poof like that was beyond him. It just meant he had to keep moving, right? “Nope, none of that from you!” Yelling as he turned to face her while still moving backwards and away from her as best as he could.
—----------------------
There was something about chasing a low level do gooder that just made Pez want to hurt the poor soul even more. Combined with the fact that she just barely missed the cube coming her way?
Oof.
Too bad the guy managed to move before her hit could land. “Oh come on! I was gonna make it so you would pass out! Wouldn't feel a thing when I removed your starseed!” her grin was diabolical even as she stepped closer while he moved backwards. “Hey, I'll even put the stick away~” she simply tossed her weapon into subspace, showing the page her empty hands. “Now, that should make it a fair game right?”
—----------------------
Still moving backwards and away, he did slow just the slightest bit as her weapon disappeared. The expression she wore wasn’t something he liked to see, even when he was reading about the lore in Warhammer. There had been enough crazy things going on that at this point, he half-wondered if the universe had taken ideas from the tabletop game he played.
Holding his hand in front of himself as he kept stepping away, he rubbed at his shoulder where he’d been glanced. It ached, and he really didn’t like the idea of getting into a legitimate fight. Well, in this case, it seemed like a game to this crazy woman.
“Nope. Nopenopenopenope.” And with that, he turned and bolted as fast as he could, focusing on the ground ahead of him so he didn’t trip while he booked it faster than he might otherwise have been able to while powered down. It was certainly coming in handy now.
