A clear night sky that is full of stars and lit by the full over looks the meadow which is full of night jasmine and lavender flowers. Soft crying could be heard from somewhere within a clearing. A Kirin with clear blue body that seems to be covered in stars and golden scales that could be mistaken for the sun. Tears glisten down her cheeks, falling upon her silvery moon colored mane. Her soft spoken voice is heard. "... My dear goddess.." She looked towards the moon. "Why? Why have you forsaken me? Where is the mate that captured my heart so long ago? Where is he? My rainbow?" The moon simply couldn't answer, only to shine down on her for comfort. She lets out pained loud cries. It had been years since she'd seen her mate. The one she'd thought was her soul mate. The wind softly blew across her mane and face as if it wanted to wipe her tears away.

The lands felt her pain.. her heartbreak. It was a pain that no mare should ever go through. She was one to fall hard and love hard. She simply didn't understand why he had disappear as if he never existed. The kirin simply looked towards the stars. "Please.. send me someone to help me heal.. please.. I can't take this heartbreak.. It hurts. I do not want to be alone.. .." Her cries simply got louder and deeper as if a thousand stars are hitting her.

Her herd watched from afar. Even they were worried and hurt that one of their own is going through such pain. A silver grey feline soquili appeared next to the leader of tthe herd. Snowlily glanced at the feline. ".....You are drawn tto her. Am I right, Kannika?" The silver grey spotted feline glanced towards Snowlily, nodding sadly. "I feel like I was called to her, Ms Snowlily. Her pain is far too great. The cries .... " Snowlily flattened her ears while nodding. "Be gentle with her, please. I feel she needs someone that can help her heal. Her name is Miyako. It has been years since her mate disappeared.. I fear that her grief is slowly draining her..." Kannika frowned softly. "Leave it to me, Ms Snowlily." She nuzzled her softly before walking into the meadow.

Miyako's swollen eyes from crying met Snowlily's sad ones. Snowlily mouthed the words to her. "It is okay.. You can trust her, love. Please give her a chance.." Miyako lets out whimpers and cries, nodding at her herd leader. She looked towards Kannika. "... I.. I d.. don't know.. I want to... " Kannika just simply nuzzled her. "Shhhh.. We don't have to talk. Your tears can flow as long as it needs to. Your heart can press against mine for comfort. Your body against mine.. Anything you need, dear.. " Miyako didn't know how to take this.

She cried what seems to be for a long time that night. Kannika did what she had promised, simply keeping her body against hers for comfort. Miyako moves her tail to be draped over Kannika's. A sign that she didn't want the feline to leave.

It was like this until the sun came up. Most of the herd had left, feeling like they could trust Kannika with Miyako. Snowlily realized that Miyako needed her. Snowlily was the last one to leave, giving complete trust to Kannika.

Kannika had watched the sun come up while keeping her full body against Miyako. "Dear.." She nuzzled Miyako, whose crying had calmed down to soft ones and whimpers. Miyako slowly looks up at her. "...Kanni?" The feline gave her a soft but sad smile. "Yes, dear.. I am Kanni. The sun is up.. We need to get you back to your home." Miyako gasped at the sight of the sun before nodding. ".. C.. Can you come with me?" Kanni gently helps her up while whispering. "Yes.. Lead the way, sweetie." Miyako's eyes were full of fear and worry.

Kanni knew why as she nudges her. "Show me your beautiful home." Miyako nodded, despite being scared and worried in that moment. She didn't know if she would disappear like he did. She lets out another shuddering sigh and led her down to her home which was a cave full of glowing blue stones and moss. She leads her to her cave nest and carefully lays down on it. "...p.. Please.."

Kanni nodded and lays down against her, putting her tail over kirin's as well as one of her paws over Miyako's hooves. Miyako would cry herself to sleep against Kanni's neck.

Every night since.. The kirin and feline would head to the meadow. Miyako simply cuddle against Kanni. Her cries were still deep for a long time over the next few months. Kanni never left.. never moved. She whispered reassurances no mattter how much emotional pain she was in herself, seeing her new friend crying like this. She licks her on the cheek or forehead every once in awhile at night and during the day. Miyako whimpered once again. An once proud and confindent kirin was a broken one. Kanni wouldn't leave for anything or anyone.

One night.. Miyako softly whispered to Kanni. ".. Kanni.. Why? Why did you stay?" Kanni tilts her head. "Because, dear.. Your pain shouldn't be handled alone. Your heart needs to be mended no matter how long it takes." Miyako suddenly nuzzled her deeply, crying once again. Kanni then whispered. "I felt the pull to you, dear kirin.. Ms Snowlily saw how much I... " Tears of her own falls onto Miyako. "When I arrived in our herd.. I felt your pain. I didn't know where it was coming from."

Miyako looked up towards her as she listened to every word coming from Kanni. The feline lets out a soft mew. "Ms. Snowlily noticed my pain and desire. She'd told me that she would show me one night. She led me to you, Miyako. She told me that it was your pain I'd felt." She nuzzled her while crying quietly. Miyako's heart had understood but Miyako's mind didn't. It was another battle that went on for several more months.
