1 large beef brisket
- (also good with any large chunk of meat, tbh)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
- (also good with cream of celery or cream of potato)
𝕀𝕟𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤
Heat oven to 365F.
Place brisket in a baking pan 2-3 inches deep.
Smear on can of soup. Sprinkle dip mix over the top. Lay onion rings on top.
Cover tightly with foil and bake for 2-2 1/2 hours.
Remove from oven and let cool one hour or overnight.
Slice when cool against the grain.
Reheat in oven at 350F for 30 minutes.
When we make it over the fire, we set the pan over and under coals and let it cook like a dutch oven.
Same timeline, generally.
But when it's over the fire we slice and eat as soon as it's done rather than letting it chill.
Can serve with mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
Great with summery veggies on the side.
