A group of Snagems led by Sub would appear in front of Snowpoint City Pokemon Center, their faithful Claydol having teleported the group there. Sub would be all bundled up in cold weather gear, a change of pace from his usual t-shirt and vest. It was a typical Snowpoint City day with a light dust of snow coming down, what the locals would consider nice weather as clear days without snow were far more rare than raging blizzards. Once they appeared Sub would shiver, trying to get used to the cold, hugging himself a bit. "Brr! I hate the cold. Been awhile since I visited this place, forgot how cold it could get up here." He slightly complained. "Everyone doing okay? Ready to get moving towards the lake? Speaking of, Freth, have you been in contact with that guy and his group around here?"

Freth would arrive by teleport herself, along side her Alakazam. She was bundled up a fair bit herself, covered up with the winter gear she got on her Hisuan trip. The tightly woven thick cloth coat with the fur inside to keep her well insulated, the hide, bag like snowboots with the plush fur insides to go over her talon-feet, the thick wool pants, a cloak to go over her wings that wrapped around her torso. She could have gotten something more modern, maybe arguably more protective for that matter, but unlike more modern-day goods, this winter get-up was oddly more portable as a just in case thing than the stiff, rigid boots or the overly padded coats of present day. Once she arrived, she would start hovering just above the snows on the ground and give her thanks to Alakazam before recalling the psychic Pokémon back to his ball.
She looked back over towards Sub once he addressed her and she would give a shake of her head ‘no’. “Nah, ever since I got back from them, I hadn’t been in contact with Chaksu or anyone with the Order of Acuity at all. Not like they got much in the way of technology over that way, living real simple to temper someone’s mind, so correspondence short of carrier Pidgey wasn’t happening. ‘Nothing else matters’, as they constantly said. For that matter, I’m not empathic enough to make long distance calls, and not sure if I ever will be.” Freth looked down for a second, then would raise her hand up having a large clod of snow come off the ground. She give a twirl of her finger and the clod would end up spinning about and compacting to make a nice, tightly packed snowball. “Heh, can’t say their methods weren’t effective though. God at one time this was so bloody hard.” She’d merely drop the ball back on the ground. “So, yea, I can only imagine their reactions if we end up passing by the village before we make our way to the center of the lake and see Uxie.”

Aile shivered in her bomber jacket, zipped up tight and her hands stuffed as deep as they could go into said jacket. "Right... This frozen a** place... I have half a mind to get Dega out and try to bury myself in her fur. Yes, I am more than ready, Sub."

Rachel went with the group that went to visit Uxie. Amber would have gone, but given what had happened her a few years ago, she had no desire to revisit the place, despite something good coming out of it. So Rachel had gone in her stead, while Amber had tagged along with the group visiting the cult. As soon as they landed in front of the Pokemon Center, Rachel wrapped her arms around herself, her cold weather gear doing little to stop the biting cold of northern Sinnoh. Most of her Pokemon were in their balls, none of them willing to come out and suffer in the cold. Rachel wouldn't call on any of them, anyway, as most were weak to Ice and she didn't want to make them suffer any more than necessary. The only one that remained out was her Eevee, Rainer. He perched on her shoulder, his neck ruff fluffing up against the cold. "I'm ready whenever you are, Sub," she said.

Deo was slightly warm still. Despite the fact is was snowing, and snow on the ground. His fur gave him a nice warmth even though his undercoat has not grown in yet. As snow was gathering on his fur, Deo would look up and say "Where should we go boss? My paws are becoming frozen as we speak." Out of all the clothes Deo had, good socks were not part of them. He had his hands in his leather coat pockets and was giving a slight shiver. Despite the cold, he was rather warm despite the light clothing.

"Honestly, I wish I still had those clothes Mesprit or whoever gave for the cold," Amaranth answered, arms wrapped around herself as the cold became quickly apparent. "They would've been really useful if SWIPE hadn't ruined my room like they did. I'll manage, though." Making a few tentative steps for fear of freezing in place, she'd hear Freth's answer and gave her a cursory glance.
"What... group around here?" She asked, curiosity getting the better of her with the trek ahead. "Chaksu's not a name I recognize."

Beau would be shivering already as he managed to immediately catch a chill from the conditions around them. He had managed to scrounge together some amount of winter gear for this but that had to compete with really poor biology for any weather that was vaguely chilly. But Beau had to come along, after all his time with the three spirits in Hisui. "So.....are we just going to stare at a lake or is there something special we have to do at that lake?" Beau questioned.

Sub would nod at Freth's response, mulling it over for a bit before he acknowledge the rest of his teammates as they confirmed their willingness to proceed now that they were all here. "I think we'll pay the Order a visit on the way there. While we were able to have an audience with the Lake Guardians in the past I have never been able to find a way to get inside their hidden chambers in the present, or get their attention. And believe me, I've tried. So instead of poking around an island in the middle of a lake for however long it takes to get Uxie's attention, provided it even knows to expect us, I figured it would be best to speak with the individuals that know Uxie better than anyone else; the Order of Acuity, mainly Elder Chaksu. Hopefully they know how to knock on Uxie's door properly. So with that in mind let's get moving. Oh and I suggest you hop on a Pokemon now. Sure, you can get to the lake on foot but the snow gets deeper the further away from Snowpoint you get and it will slow you down."
With that he turned to Freth and pouted. "Freeeth, can I ride on Mamoswine with you? I know he helped you last tiiime. Any Pokemon I have that are big enough for this are sensitive to the cold. You don't want my Hydreigon to turn into a three headed popsicle, do you?" He asked, playfully giving Freth puppy dog eyes as he poked his bottom lip out. Once Freth relented and released her Mamoswine he would jump on with her and wait to head for Lake Acuity.
-----
The trek across Route 217 to the lake wasn't particularly daunting, modern GPS via their SNAGs becoming directions a breeze it was easy to see how people could get lost before the advent of such technology, their surroundings looking the same the entire time, just evergreen trees and snow. It didn't help it was snowing too, the snow not as bad as it could be but definitely becoming heavier and the wind blowing harder once they left Snowpoint.
(If you'd like you may capture a wild Pokemon along the way. Any Pokemon found on Route 217 in any Sinnoh based game is available.)
The group would find their way through the small forest of snow-caped trees, their horizon opening up to reveal Lake Acuity itself, the fabled body of water dead ahead. Now that they found their way to the lake shore itself Sub would call out to Freth for guidance on proceeding. "Which way is it to the Order? It's around here, right? Do you remember which way?" He asked while looking at the map on his SNAG, trying to discern which direction was which. "My eyes hurt from staring at all this bright snow. I should have borrowed Hemlock's Black Glasses..." He complained to himself.
Freth would instruct the group to head around the lake, stopping at about the halfway point and direct them to a path in the snow, where someone or multiple someones have been walking or purposely cleared. At the end of that were a set of stairs carved into the rock surrounding the lake's area. It's at the bottom where they would find the village the Order of Acuity made their home. The group would take the stairs which bent and turned at points, passing by a female Medicham hybrid that was heading up the stairs, eyes closed and deep in meditation as she chanted her mantra. Eventually they'd make it to the bottom and find the promised village itself, the Order of Acuity.
The village was not much to look at, a cluster of old fashioned building that were clearly made from local trees and built without any machinery. There were also various specially designated training areas dotting the village such as a field of poles for balance meditation or a tunnel of swinging logs for one to run through with their eyes closed to train their senses. Besides the villages itself the Snagems would see the members of the Order going about their days, a large portion of them Meditite and Medicham hybrids or just the actual Pokemon themselves but there were a few humans here and there as well as a Psychic hybrids of other species like the Grumpig hybrid bouncing on its tail while meditating.
Freth would lead the way further, guiding the group all the way to the Gathering Hall, one of the biggest, if not the biggest, building in the entire village and certainly one of the more fancy ones with plenty of intricate carvings in its wood. A Meditite hybrid outside would inform them the Elder was expecting them, a statement that others might find strange considering they hadn't made plans for this visit but Freth would likely be unbothered. The group would enter the hall, finding the inside large and open. At the end of the long hall they would find a single individual seated on the floor, no one else about despite this place normally being full of students, meditating. He was a Medicham hybrid like many of the other hybrids they saw but he was dressed in a thin fabric blue rob with yellow trimming. It was Elder Chaksu.
"Greetings, Snagems." He said, speaking to their minds via telepathy, never opening his eyes nor breaking his meditative stance. "Freth, it pleases me to see you again. Please inform your leader of my words. My mind's voice cannot reach him." Chaksu continued. "You are all seeking out the Being of Knowledge, correct?" He asked the Snagems in their minds.
"Uh...is that the guy Freth?" Sub would eventually ask, pointing at Chaksu. "If it is can you ask him how we go about meeting with Uxie?"

Darts and Ogerpon come screeching to a halt as the telepathy fills their mind. The Legendary Pokemon's crimson mask burning bright against her face as the pair huddle together for warmth following in their leader's footsteps. They both, prides wounded, didn't really have a particular reason for following this direction with the team. Maybe, just maybe, the Knowledge Pokemon would have some of what they sought - a way to be able to vanquish the shadows of their inability to stand against Cruxias, Giratina, and the whole lot; both for different reasons. They didn't blame themselves, they weren't in a pool of misery or uncertainty as apart they might have been. But as a unit? They knew they were, as the kids say, cooked.

Freth stared at Sub in a bit of disbelief, perhaps disappointment, that the Snagem leader didn’t think on such a thing like that. Though…she didn’t intend on riding Mamoswine this go-round. She was content trying to hover all the way there over the snows. Freth sighed, then took out Mamoswine’s Pokeball and gave it a toss out. “Mammooo.” Mamoswine spoke up as it materialized from the ball.
“Hey, Mamoswine. Need a ferry through snow, though…I’m not the one riding.” Freth said, staring at Sub. “Going to warn you, Sub…its not going to be a smooth ride. Not exactly much in the way of cushion.” She said. The big imposing beast stared down the smaller Snagem leader as if he demanded to know what he did to deserve to ride him. “Let him on, Mammy.” She said, giving the big brute a few pats on the back.
“Mamooo…”
Once Sub was settled on the back of the beast, the team would make their way off towards the order. Freth generally could remember where it was at, though she had to admit it was easily missed within the snows. She would have been bound to do laps around the lake just trying to find the place if she wasn’t carefully looking out in the blinding snows. Eventually, she would find the tell-tale stairs that lead down to the nearby village in the nearby forest. As they did, Freth would see a Medicham hybrid, female. For a second, she thought maybe it could have been Renala, but no such. One thing she recognized was the order’s garb, rather lack there-of for this kind of weather. The wraps around the chest. The baggy pants. Much skin exposed to the elements and yet she was taking it as if it was nothing. A tempered mind and body to the extreme. Freth remembered those few weeks in such garbs herself that pushed her mental fortitude to the limits and then some. Nothing else mattered. Not even the cold.
She would guide the Snagems through the small village, and unsurprising to Freth, this place hadn’t changed a bit. Freth almost had the notion to think about coming back here at some point and another and get some sort of remedial course; the elder here after all helped her quite a bit. More than anyone could know. ”Feeling nostalgic?”
”Ah, bloody hell. Boy, they’re not going to like to know you’re back. You were gone as far as anyone was concerned when I left here last time.”
”Well, well see how much ‘nothing else matters’ really applies to them when they’re faced with more immediate issues. Though if I had to guess, maybe they might have suspected this was going to be the case.” Freth would only roll her eyes.
She would hover up to the gathering hall and as soon as Sub was off the Mamoswine, she’d recall the beast, then approach the door. The attendant at the door would tell the group that the elder was expecting her, which was a bit weird. Renala didn’t really state that they didn’t have that level of psychic-based foresight, but then, the Elder did have his own secrets. Once she approached the door, she gave a wave of the hand to open the doors telekinetically for herself and for the rest of the Snagems and hovered her way inside.
The elder would address the Snagems, just as he addressed her when she first arrived at the order’s village, still in meditative stance. Freth would take a deep breath. Eris wasn’t wrong, Freth was feeling in fact a little nostalgic. ”Hello, Chaksu. Still not above speaking to strangers normally first, I see. Nice to know some things haven’t changed.” She said, rather cordial at it. ”But yes, we are here to see Uxie. Uxie’s willpower-based sibling told us to head off this way and get knowledge from him. Freth would perk up, listening to Sub for a second, and suddenly realized this was going to be a bit annoying, havin to play effectively ‘telephone’ between the two just because wasn’t receptive of that sort of influence. She would sigh, then looked back, remembering nothing else mattered. Just the objective. She would give an affirming nod to Sub then looked back towards Chaksu. Sub perhaps didn’t realize that this conversation was going by a lot faster in the mental space as opposed to the physical one and he wasn’t going to be here long. ”Since it was Azelf that got us over here, I’m pretty much imagining that Uxie is also expecting us. Which is why you were too. Do we just head out across the lake? Or is there something else we have to do?” she would ask Chaksu.

Aile nodded, pulling out Dagobah’s Pokéball. Bringing out her standard Ursaluna, she would hop onto her back, putting her hands into her fur. “Warm bear…”
“Ur?”
“Ah, right. Let’s follow them. Also, if anyone else needs a ride, Dega can probably handle one or two more. Right?”
The Ursaluna looked up at her trainer, thought for the moment, then nodded. “Url.”
“Thank you, Dega. You rock.” She’d pat the bear’s side, then wait for anyone else that needed a ride to get on. Once everyone was situated, they’d start off, easily keeping track and pace with the team through all of the snow.
When they arrived at the Gathering Hall, Aile was reluctant to get off of Dagobah. The bear was warm and she did not like the cold at all. “Is it bad this almost makes me miss the Orre Desert,” she muttered, finally dismounting the Ursaluna. Recalling her after a moment, the woman would follow everyone else in, stuffing both hands in her pockets again. Taking in the hall, she was mildly surprised. With how large it was, it felt odd that there was only the one person here? And then the sudden voice made her jump. Why mentally first? Couldn’t there be some sort of warning? However, it certainly seemed that he knew Freth well enough, and she effectively was the main point of contact between them and this Order, so the woman would merely nod to Chaksu and look back over to Freth. She doubted she could and anything more to this than Freth could.

Odd arrived in Snowpoint alongside the others. Despite the cold, the blind priest let out a long, comfortable breath as his crimson cassock collected snowflakes. “Feels like going home…” He told himself. He hadn’t been to the abbey in a long time for a variety of reasons so this visit to the frozen region helped ease his homesick heart. As the Snagems began to move, he would release Musette and climb onto her back, letting the Stantler follow the others. He would also pop open his Master Ball and release Mnemosyne, the Meloetta singing softly and dancing through the air as she travelled with them. Odd felt a stability in his soul as she sang that had been strangely absent for a while. It even felt like he could feel Musette beneath him more strongly as his body solidified once more.
The man saw nothing but the colorful pops of Snagem souls ahead of him as they traveled, making sure to point Musette more toward them if it seemed she was losing track of the pack. After a while, as Sub announced they were nearing people who might be able to help, he recalled Mnemosyne again and began to try and sense those people. It was difficult at first, perhaps due to the distant or perhaps due to the nature of who they were? Once he finally was able to sense someone that wasn’t familiar, they were strangely difficult to pick up, perhaps due to their nature? These folks seemed to be so in tune with their hearts and minds that their emotions were in such control that the negativity which typically made souls easy to spot was nearly nonexistent here. As a result, the priest saw little more that static-y pops here and there that came and went as they drew near enough he could sense them.
As they were greeted and informed that they had been expected, he felt his breath catch slightly. Being expected was a surprise to him, of course, much as he suspected it was to others but the catch had been caused by the sudden appearance of the greeter’s soul so close. It had been a while since he had found himself startled in such a way and it was very much an unpleasant feeling.
He watched as closely as he could as they moved onward to meet the one who expected them, hoping he would be able to follow their greeter into the distance but as the throng of Snagems moved, they vanished a short distance away. “I don’t like this place.” He remarked to himself. The folk seemed nice enough but the way they were so hard for him to see felt wrong. Maybe it was related to the way his channeling had been so disrupted by Dialga’s attack at the trial but he could only hope he would be able to speak to Uxie about that at some point while they were here. Watching as best he could while Sub and Freth approached the elder, he could sense the energies of psychics but was unable to do more until he heard the voice in his mind. That was when it all began to make sense to him. Sub, however, was already onto the topic at hand, causing him to keep the revelation to himself for the moment. They had more important matters to worry about than him realizing these people were Psychics, after all.

Chaksu listened to Freth or rather received her telepathic 'radio waves', never breaking his meditative stance nor opening his eyes. "You are correct, my former pupil, the All-Knowing has informed me of your approach, there is nothing they are not aware of after all." The Medicham hybrid began, beginning to levitate off the ground a few inches as part of his exercise. "However it was not the intent of the Being of Knowledge to have audience with your team but rather the sibling, the Being of Willpower. Uxie was less than receptive to Azelf's idea, however. They have informed me that if your team wishes have an audience then you must offer a token of submission."
The guru would float back down to the ground and finally break his meditation as he opened his eyes and stood up, giving the Snagems a slight boy before finally speaking verbally. "The Being of Knowledge requires one of you to give up a fond memory of which they will judge whether or not it is sufficient. This memory will not only be removed from the individual's mind but also from your team's collective conscious." He said, his eyes finding their way to Sub as he said this. The Snagem leader was caught off guard by his verbal declaration, having missed everything else the man had said, this demand of Uxie's hitting a bit harder for him because of it.
"It is through me which Uxie will judge the memory." Chaksu would then close his eyes again and make a hand sign using both hands, an eye shaped symbol appearing on his forehead as he did. With the symbol remaining on his forehead he opened his eyes again and reached a hand out towards the Snagems. "Whomever wishes to submit a memory please step forward and allow me to touch my hand upon your head so that my Mind Reader may access your memories. Any of you will do...any except your leader. The Dark One's mind is inaccessible to myself and even the Great Custodian."
"No!" Sub blurted out as it finally sank in what was being asked. "I can't let any of you do such a thing. Come on! At least try it on me! Someone got a Pokemon with Miracle Eye!?" The man said frantically, looking to his teammates. Chaksu did not stir in the least at Sub's reaction. Maybe it was some sort of remaining psychic link between Chaksu and Freth but the Galarian Articuno hybrid, like Chaksu, would know even if a Pokemon with Miracle Eye cast the move on Sub it still wouldn't work, Uxie unable to erase his memories. It would only let them read his mind, not 'edit' it.

Giving up a memory for the team, Deo chimes in "I am willing to give up all the memory of me being a police officer and the fact I was a honor bound officer" Deo said without a flinch. He gave no thought else, he was determined to be a better snagem, and his thoughts were not excluded. There were limits to his offers though. His soul was off-limits and the memories of his family and his friends. He did not flinch as he said this, despite the fact that snow was accumulating on his fur and his eyes were squinting as he trying to see out to the mysterious Chaksu.

Rachel listened as the others spoke, knowing that there wasn't much she could add to the conversation. However, when Chaksu stated that one of them had to give up a memory, one that would be wiped from their minds as well as from the minds of the team at large, she stepped forward alongside Deo, her slight limp more prevalent in the cold. "Sub, there are some of us that would rather not have some of the memories we've accumulated through the years," she said, making eye contact with the leader before turning her attention to Chaksu again. "I offer my memory of my biological family," she stated. "I know you said a fond memory, but I have none other than meeting my Pokemon and joining Snagem, and those I am not willing to part with." Normally, she didn't really think about her father, but he had been on her mind lately, and she couldn't help but wonder how he was doing, despite her disdain for the man he'd become after her mother's passing.
