From Child Stage to Adult Stage
These prompts are designed to help your orphan grow naturally through roleplay. You do not need to complete every single prompt — they are here to inspire character development, bonding, and magical discovery.
You can use them:
in solo roleplay with another member in group scenes as journals / memory posts as “milestone threads”
STAGE ONE: LITTLE SPARK (Infant / Toddler / Very Young Child Stage)
At this stage, your orphan is just beginning to understand the world. Everything is new, emotional, magical, and often overwhelming.
Prompts: First Night at the Orphanage Your orphan wakes up frightened in an unfamiliar bed. What comforts them? Do they cry, hide, lash out, or quietly observe?
Favorite Comfort Item They become attached to a toy, blanket, lantern charm, ribbon, or strange magical trinket. Why does it matter so much to them?
Nightmare in the Nursery Something scares them in the dark — a bad dream, strange whispering, shadows, or their own unstable magic.
First Word / First Sign of Personality What is the first thing they say or clearly communicate? Is it sweet, odd, eerie, demanding, or heartbreaking?
They Get Lost Your little orphan wanders somewhere they shouldn’t — the attic, garden, cellar, lantern room, old hallway, woods outside.
First Magical Flicker Their magic manifests for the first time. It may be harmless… or not.
Bath Time Disaster A simple bath turns chaotic. Maybe they flood the room, turn the water to mist, summon fish, glow, vanish, or panic.
Who Do They Cling To? Which caretaker, older orphan, or creature do they trust first?
Sick Day They become ill or weakened. How do they react to being vulnerable and cared for?
The Child Who Never Sleeps Your orphan refuses bedtime. Why? Fear of dreams? Fear of being alone? Strange nocturnal instincts?
