There's a bunch of us here now, and I'm really curious after looking through all the introductions. Tell me about your lore! Whether it's super in depth with tons of world building or "idk I'm just a lil guy" I love hearing about peoples' characters.
I'll share some of Lilith's lore too when chronic fatigue isn't kicking my a** lmao

*foams at the mouth* oh boy I'm so insane about my lore that I'm actually writing a web novel about it
The pitch is something that I would have to work on more when I actually have something worth posting (and will be posting to Royal Road when I'm at a place where I can do that buuuuuuuuuuut
Its a LitRPG System Apocalypse (which I can explain if need be, I know the genre's not that popular outside of specific circles), the main character (my vsona/fursona) gets access to magic and becomes a necromancer about it. It'll follow vaer story from level 1 all the way to becoming a proper God of the Dead.

LORE I'm so passionate about my lore.
It's so simple but so much fun.
So so you know Helpy from FNAF, the little helper bot?
Make him a cat in the internet backrooms x1000 and very problematic.
If you befriend a nekoexee, they will "guide" you with no idea where they actually are and are a very high risk "friend" as a result.
He was once a computer program made to help people, but after being disabled due to lack of updates, now just exists as abandonware that collectively roam the remains of the abandoned web (aka internet backrooms.)

Okay so there three main sub genres to litrpg
- GameLit: Any story that takes place partly or entirely within a virtual game world (that'd be your Sword Art Online, .hack//SIGN, Ready Player One, ect)
- Dungeon Crawler/Tower Ascent: These can be either in a setting that's like ours or in one that's entirely original with nothing to do with Earth at all. Very frequently also an isekai. These focus on more traditional adventures like what you'd have at a TTRPG or a CRPG, and you follow the character from lower levels to whatever heights the plot takes us. (Silver Linings, Frostbound, He Who Fights With Monsters)
- System Apocalypse: For whatever reason, the world is ending and that ending has brought a TTRPG like game system to the world. Most, sometimes all, survivors are given it for one reason or another. Why this happens depends on the book but frequently the System is just as much an antagonistic force for humanity as anything else. This genre often (not always) takes notes from or straight out is a Cultivation novel (wuxia/xianxia). The most well known book in this genre right now is Dungeon Crawler Carl. There's others (Necrotic Apocalypse, Defiance of the Fall, Primal Hunter) but none are nearly as well known as DCC except maybe Solo Leveling. The System frequently has a purpose to what it does and why it pushes people in whatever direction and it's up to the author if that ever becomes relevant to the main plot or if it's just deep background lore.
In mine, the System is experiencing a lot of "Task Failed Successfully". It's creators made it to preserve life. It uh... Didn't get directives on what to do when things just die naturally. So it's expending a lot of resources trying to make people into immortals and will reward whatever one does that ensures your own immortality, especially if that then means it can delegate responsibility of preserving life to you. When it starts to run out of resources and energy to do this, it absorbs another universe... Except this also tends to have life that needs preserving so now they're under its directives too.
Very "You ******** up a perfectly good monkey. Look at it. It's got anxiety." a** system.
That's deep lore and isn't relevant to Ciaphas Graves's journey 99% of the time outside of how it interacts and rewards or punishes people.

IM LATW TO THIS BUT!!! I have very like lengthy lore that was dummed down post rebrand ( I just changed my species cause I wasnt feeling it anymore! ) it was originally a story based on my experience as an autistic and queer person ♡
I was a plant fairy, a sproutling, who at a young age traveled with my family to the human world. And was taught that to be accepted i needed to make sure the humans thought I was one of them. I bottled up everything about myself to fit in a mold I was never meant to fill in the first place to the point of ripping out my own wings so I no longer had to hide them. And by the time I realized beinf accepted by a people who I could never force myself to become- It was too late. But I met my best friends, orher creatures from other worlds. And who had suffered similiar fates- so we made a home and place for creatures like us ♡ those who didnt fit into molds forced upon us.
And now my lore, im a dog reborn with a more human form. I kept the plant/sprout thing going. So im just plant down. I was thrown away in the woods as a dog. And despite being thrown away by my owners- I still loved the world around me. The sun and the earth watched as a carefree creature still frolicking in flowers and howled to rhe birds and bees despite struggling to survive. Thus when it died. The earth planted a seed inside the dogs body, and the sun dropped its light onto it. From ir grew a massive tree, and inside a pocket where I was given a new form. One that could pick a better path- and that path is being a silly lazy dog who brings their creativity to the world. Along side my friends and community. Because we all deserve a chance to create and thrive o w o.
Its not super flushed out like my past lore was but its fun and tells a bit of my own story ♡

You're never too late! I really like this. I feel like this has a lot of fun story potential and I will always encourage fellow vtubers to write their lore like actual novels

gaia_crown i'm in the middle of rewriting my lore but!! i've always been really into the mythos of gnosticism and its interpretation of god as a function of the universe so my lore is gonna try to explore some good old Deus Ex Machina and the futility of trying to capture divinity in the material, leading to the glitchy, hard to predict mess that is my source code (it's my adhd. i'd be so gd powerful if my brain worked)
we can also throw in some themes of a robot learning to love because boy how do i tell you i love Aigis Persona3 without telling you i love Aigis Persona3 LMAO

nebulapin gaia_crown i'm in the middle of rewriting my lore but!! i've always been really into the mythos of gnosticism and its interpretation of god as a function of the universe so my lore is gonna try to explore some good old Deus Ex Machina and the futility of trying to capture divinity in the material, leading to the glitchy, hard to predict mess that is my source code (it's my adhd. i'd be so gd powerful if my brain worked)

Ooooooh I love this concept! And gods do I relate, I'm AuDHD myself with chronic fatigue. I'd take over the goddamn world if I could get anything to work consistently :'>
And yesssssssss robots learning to cope with emotions my belovedddd. That's always been such a soft spot for me, robots learning to think and feel and Exist and how their worldview somehow both fundamentally changes and remains the same in interesting ways. How it changes how they move through the world, going from being an object to be used to something with a real sense of self and how that can clash with duty and perception. I got into it from the Megaman side of things, but Aigis from Persona is also near and dear to my heart.
