Heat, rage, and the sound of blood pounding in her ears was all Ako knew in that very moment. Fire swirled around dangerously in a vortex of fury as she gripped the front of the lieutenant's shirt, staring down her nose in disgust and murderous urges. One word burned itself into the very core of her mind as she glared at him: betrayal.
The night had started as many others had, Akito whining at her about patrolling and her eventually giving in and going with him. Her heels clicked as she walked beside her “brother”, long layered skirts swishing behind her with satisfactory amounts of attitude. She indulged Akito far too often lately, and it was starting to wear on her. She had her own quotas to worry about, instead of continuing to babysit the first level Agent, but she did so anyway because she knew that he was only in this because of her. It was a strange, twisted sense of guilt and duty that wouldn’t let her abandon him, and she hated it.

Villiaumite walked beside the Eternal Corrupt senshi, keeping stride with his sister with ease. He could feel the tension and irritation radiating off of the woman, and he knew that he should leave it be, that he should let her breathe and not poke at her. But when had he ever made the smart choice when it came to that? No, it was far easier to provoke her like this, after all. Far easier to see the old temper flare to life and to see the ghost of his sister like that. So that was what he did. He needled her as they walked, making little comments here and there, making observations about her and her behavior. He had no idea just how dangerously close to stepping on a nuclear bomb he was.
“Akooooo. You’re no fun tonight! Cmon, don’t tell me that hot boss of yours scolded you for what I told him?” He walked in front of the senshi, facing her and walking backwards so he could pout at her pathetically. “I only told him about things out of care and love, after all.”

Ako froze, eyes fixing on the man before her. Her body went entirely still and it wouldn’t be hard to hear a pin drop in the silence that stretched between them. “You what.” Her voice was quiet and deadly sharp as she stared at Villiaumite. There was no way she just heard him correctly… there couldn’t be.

The immediate shift in demeanor was welcome for all of two seconds before Villiaumite felt his back slammed against a wall. A grunt escaped him and he winced, taken by surprise at her strength and force. “Ako, calm down, I really thought….” s**t. He just really stepped in it. If she hadn’t known, if Aloysius hadn’t, in fact, scolded her or dealt with her at all, then he just outed himself needlessly to her. Well, s**t.

Gloved hands gripped the front of the lieutenant's uniform as she pinned him to the nearby wall. “What did you do, Akito.” If a look could kill, he would be dead a thousand times over. “What did you say to my General.” Despite the terrifying anger radiating off of her, internally she was frantic. Did Chalcanthite know just how far she had let herself slip? What had this utter idiot told the man she answered to? “Answer me. Now.”

Villiaumite laughed awkwardly, hoping to downplay the situation. “Look, I was just really worried about you, and I’m sure Aloysius was too. So…. so i told him about the partying, and the drinking. I told him about you going out with your client, and with that guy, and that I was worried I was watching you go down a bad path….” He yelped as he was yanked and knocked down on the ground, his sister staring down at him with fury and disgust. He had never, in all his years alive, seen her like this.

“You told him!?” The words were hissed out with venom. “You spineless, filthy traitor!” The final tether holding her together snapped, it seemed, and all she could feel was rage. As if the fire she commanded was burning through her very veins. “How dare you!? What gives you the goddamn right to meddle in my life? What gives you the right??”

Scrambling to his feet, Villiaumite held his hands in front of him as if trying to calm her down, though he knew it was far too late for that. “Ako, Ako cmon, it’s not that bad! Really!” He paled as he watched her summon an attack he had never seen from her before. Until now, he had only seen the barriers of flame and hot ash. This? This was entirely new. A pillar of twisting flame surrounded the two of them, the hot wind burning any exposed skin he had. “Ako!” He had no idea what to say or do now, no idea how to fix this, and he knew he was royally screwed.

In a blink, flames filled the area and Ako stalked towards the man before her. To her, this was no longer her brother, but an object of prey. Grabbing the front of his jacket, she yanked him forward with little resistance and allowed her hand to sink into his chest. She had never done this before, never been so bold or even desired to do so, but she felt her goal in the palm of her hand and closed her fingers around it. Through her glove, she scraped her nail down the side of his starseed before squeezing it tightly. “I should crush it. Or better, I should yank it and give it to Chalcanthite to atone for what you did. I’m sure it would be a lovely gift to him.” Just a little tug, moving it enough to make him feel the terror. “I wonder what it would look like. Probably would look worthless, just like you. Let’s find out?” The smile on her face was beyond unhinged as she withdrew her hand from his chest, bringing the glimmering crystal along with it. Vivid orange and red shimmered at her in the palm of her hand as she allowed his body to drop to the ground. It wouldn’t take much force to crush it, she thought. And it truly would make such a lovely gift. Though if she remembered right, the one who brought him into the fold and onto a team served alongside Faustite, and she truly did not want to cause the headaches for Chalcanthite she knew that would bring.
Sighing in disgust, Ako crouched beside Villiaumite’s fallen body and roughly returned the crystal back to its proper place before standing and wiping her hands on the skirt of her fuku as she stepped over him. “Come near me ever again and I’ll rip it out for good. I’m not your ******** sister. Zakuro is long dead."

A hand in his chest, searing pain, fear. Everything happened blindingly fast, and for just a moment, Akito truly thought that he was going to die at the hands of the person most precious to him in the entire world. A glimpse of a glimmering crystal was all he got before everything went dark, his body hitting the ground. Moments later, he gasped as his literal soul was returned to his body, and he clutched at his chest with wild eyes. Staring up at Ako as she stepped over him, he felt as if his entire world just shattered at her words. Oh. He wasn’t stupid enough to not heed that warning, and he knew she was deadly serious. So rather than say anything, he watched her walk away a few paces before vanishing from sight, leaving him lying there in the alley.
