Backdated to right before at world's end
With the memo coming across the tablets, Rene knew it was time for this big fight that was going to happen. One that his petit ange had to be in attendance of, even though he doubted he’d be able to convince the other to not go either way.
It had been a night of trying to get the other to relax and have some peace before whatever happened happened. Keeping close and making sure they ate and had something to drink just so they wouldn’t be worn out when it was time to mobilize.
Whatever he could do aside from actually going, because even though he wanted to support the other, he still didn’t like the idea of such a large-scale fight or anything that would have him surrounded by others from order. He didn’t like how it felt, how serious it was, even if he knew it had to be done.
Lorcan had dropped by with a surprise as well, apparently since it was know that he wasn’t going to be going, it was his duty to cat sit for the stiff cousin. When the fluff ball stepped out of the carrier and looked at him, he knew this was a mauvian even before Lorcan and Alexandre had left.
—-----------------
Getting pulled along in order to go somewhere while Kioshi and Lorcan were out for this sort of big fight, he wasn’t really pleased and whined the whole drive over. Something about not being allowed to remain unsupervised in Locan’s home since Katya was going to be busy as well.
It wasn’t fair if you asked him, that he would be carted off and left in a place he didn’t know while Lorcan and Kioshi were doing something dangerous. Not that he really wanted to go with them either, something neither of them had really even seemed to want to happen, so it worked out, he guessed in the end.
Stepping out of the carrier as Lorcan set it down on the floor, he looked around this new place with mixed curiosity. It was much bigger than either Lorcan's or Kioshi’s home, so at first he was a bit confused and kept crouched down as he slunk across the floor and close to the wall.
Staring at the new human who sat on the couch with a glass of something and two white fluffs, he narrowed his eyes and slunk down a bit more, hiding behind one of the end tables before peeking out at them.
—---------
Leaning forward, he glanced at the cat as it seemed to hide from him and slunk on the floor. It pulled a laugh from him as he watched them explore like the floor was made of lava or something else.
“So… mon chat, what kind of trouble are you?” Setting his wineglass down, he noticed the rest of the group leaving and the door locking. He didn’t like it, not one bit, but he knew he couldn’t dissuade Alexandre from going through with whatever he was supposed to do.
“It seems both of us are on the sidelines this time…” With a sigh, he stretched out and tossed one of the cat toys that had come in the carrier across the floor.
—------------------
Grumbling a bit, he was about to speak when the glint of his favorite tinfoil ball skittered across the floor. Immediately, he bounded after it, thumping lightly into the table as he did before throwing the ball up in the air and jumping up to catch it.
He heard the man yell, then scramble for something before Omen felt a liquid drop onto his head from the table above him. Looking up as he lay on his back and rabbit kicked the ball, he blinked and then pawed at the strong-smelling liquid. “Gross…”
It wasn’t something he’d ever seen or smelled before, so he rolled slightly away to avoid getting more dripped onto him. At this point, he didn’t really pay much mind to what the man was doing since he was having fun with his toy.
—------------------------
Nope, not a fan. Rene didn’t like this already as he scrambled to grab the wine glass and bottle. He got one of them before the other spilled and started a path towards the other side of the table to drip onto the floor. At least the rug was easy to clean, he’d made sure of it for if the rabbits made a mess of anything.
“Watch out!” This was worse than a toddler, and he could hear them flailing about with the toy just out of his line of sight.
—----------------------------------------------
With the man yelling, he popped up and looked around just as the bottle rolled off the table and hit the ground next to him. Hissing, he bapped at it a few times before hopping back. “Hey, no fair!” Thinking that they were toying with him, he hopped up onto the table for a fraction of a second before realizing his paws were wet.
Again, he hopped down and left little pawprints all over as he scrambled around the house with the man running after him. Well, this was certainly a game he hadn’t played, but he managed to keep ahead of them until he saw a white fluffball hopping around a corner ahead.
Skidding to a stop, he looked back towards the man, then at the white fluffball. It looked back at him but didn’t pay him much mind as it nibbled on something. Right as he was about to pounce forward to play with it, he felt two hands wrap around him and pick him up off the ground.
—------------------------------
At this point, he was half tempted to join a fight rather than deal with this house guest. Rene groaned as he saw the kitty's wine covered paw prints scrambling down the hall as he tried to catch up while looking for something to clean up with.
He would’ve gotten it ready too if he hadn’t had noticed something potentially devastating about to happen. This time he didn’t even bother with yelling, as he didn’t want to spook the rabbits; he just scooped up the mauvian and walked back towards the living room with him.
“No, those are not for toying with, those are mon ange’s pets.” Turning the mauvian around to stare face to face, he lightly bapped his head and set him on the floor.
“You stay in this room, away from anything you might break. Okay? Otherwise, I’ll get the crate.” It was as firm as he was going to get because at this point he was tired and needed to clean up before he had some more wine.
—-------------------------------------
Deflating at the scolding, he circled and curled up on the floor and stared at them. “Fine….” Well, this was boring, but he didn’t want to sit all night in the carrier.
