Miyamoto didn’t need to pull his burner phone from subspace, he knew there would be a message from Lorcan on the phone, he already had plans of going to Lorcan’s with Omen in order to assure his partner that they were both alright. He knew that whatever message was on the phone would be telling him to come over asap, he knew the doctor well enough to know this, but he knew it wasn’t just because he was a doctor though he was certainly professional about these sorts of things. It would be the words of a concerned, if not worried, partner and that left something of a warm feeling in his chest. The eternal knew if he didn’t go over there that Lorcan would just walk right down the block to his home, and let himself in, so he could check on them both. Though maybe he’d drive down the block, even if it was a waste of gas, as it was freezing tonight. Rather than that, and because he didn’t want to trouble the other more than need be, the eternal would teleport over to the others home. It might be worth spending the night there anyway, he could use a good night's sleep.
A glance down to Omen, leaning down to nose at the top of the other's head, he sighed. “Cover my signature, I can’t have anyone sensing us.” That said, and knowing Omen would do as asked, it took a few moments to focus before he was teleporting right into Lorcan’s home. It wasn’t as easy to teleport, not like it should be, the bleeding had slowed but it hadn’t stopped…the strands of wire had been sharp and while not deep it was still his neck.
Powering down as soon as he arrived Kioshi stood there in nice warm clothing, a sweater and jeans, boots were on his feet and with Omen in his arms he couldn’t bend to remove his boots as he stood just inside the house. “Lorcan.” Calling out, figuring the blond would be waiting for them to arrive, he was certain the other had already gotten things prepared and ready for all manner of possible injuries.

The message had come through plain as day, and while he might be perturbed by someone stumbling into something like that if it was anyone else, this was Kioshi and also now Omen. With all the more reason to hate the magic that seemed to spew forth with the cold weather, he had to deal with it more secondhand either through work or in personal life. With Alexandre getting into just as much reckless trouble as ever, he was glad that Kioshi tended to not follow the same trend for the most part.
The heads up gave him time to get things set up, at least in the small clinic room he had at home. From experience, anything could happen in that board game. With Omen involved, he hoped that neither of them got the bats again; his shoulder still twinged sometimes when thinking on it.
Hearing the door from down the hall, he poked his head out before giving his workspace a quick once-over. It was set up enough with the notice he had, so his priority now was to check on the two of them. “Alright, what sort of things came up this time? Are you alright, both of you?” Keeping his voice low, he wasn’t sure if something might have triggered the start of a migraine for them.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------- Being carried was always nice, but with the fact that he was still sort of wet, Omen felt extra disgruntled by the teleporting. Looking up at his senshi, he focused on the task of keeping them covered even as he wiggled in their arms. “Got it.”
It was at least warm inside, and he could see one of his favourite cat towers from where Kioshi stood with him in the doorway. Wiggling more, he slunk out of Kioshi’s arms and stretched and plopped down onto the floor just as Lorcan approached. Staring up at the blond, he puffed his tail up a bit. “It wasn’t my fault!” Though it looked like they weren’t mad at least.

With Omen out of his arms he was able to undo his boots and remove them, before stepping further into the room, a few drips of blood left on the floor as he stood up. “Omen got wet and may be cold, he may benefit from a hot soak.” Shrugging a bit as he spoke. “He did encounter bats but they didn’t seem the same as last years.” Which would be good for them all, he couldn’t imagine Omen dealing with what he had the year before.
“It wasn’t as bad this year, I assume we simply got lucky with our dice rolls.” As opposed to last year, when he and Lorcan had gotten stuck with the boardgame. Though his cheek was bloody, with it smeared against his fair skin, his neck was mostly covered by the sweater so he did pull the collar down. “I did have an incident on one square, sharp wires.” Which meant clean cuts, minimal pain, and while he didn’t think the cuts were deep they could have been for all he knew.
“My sweater is staining.” Which meant trying to get the blood out…or giving up. Take his time in closing the distance between himself and Lorcan he let his arms loosely drape over the others shoulders. “”You won’t mind if we stay the night.” There really was no need to ask, he doubted Lorcan would mind, even as he glanced towards Omen. “I owe him some gifts for being good.” Even if he was the one who had gotten them into the game, he hadn’t known any better. At least next year Omen would avoid dice of any kind, he was certain of that.

While he did love Kioshi, the idea of bathing a cat, even a mauvian, had a tight frown forming on his face for a moment before he resigned himself to what would have to happen anyway. The least he could do is figure out how best to deal with all that, at least from the sound of it and from what he could see, Kioshi could help in that endevour.
Eyeing the large mauvian as they tried to slink towards the cat tree, he clicked his tongue and then picked them up carefully, making sure to feel for anything broken even as Omen complained. “Nothing feels broken, so that’s good.” Shifting to hold Omen a bit better, he leaned in a bit closer and thumbed at the small laceration on Kioshi’s cheek. It looked clean, too clean, but that would mean it would heal better.
“Take it off. I can soak it in the sink with some solution while you help me with Omen. I’m glad that it’s just this; last year was horrible.” Maybe because he had to see it all first hand without being able to help, or maybe because they had been unlucky. With his dislike of magic, he almost felt like it had been so bad just to spite him.
“Yes, stay the night, I want to make sure you’re both alright, then we can order something for delivery if you want.” Looking down at Omen with that last comment, he started down the hall and past the clinic towards the bathroom.
—-----------------------------------
“Stopppp hey hey hey no I want up there!” Whined Omen. Getting manhandled by Lorcan was annoying, and some of the scratches under his fur stung as the man’s fingers ran over them. While he might have otherwise hissed, he got to see the blood on Kioshi and just accepted things even if he didn’t like them. Lorcan was just trying to help, and it sucked.
At the mention of bath, he was only slightly less pissed, his tail flicking back and forth beneath him as Lorcan shifted how he was being held. “Yes, bath time! That nice soap! And toys!” Pawing at Lorcan, trying to get what he wanted, his ears perked up at the mention of gifts and being good. SO he would get a nice brushing, new toys, and something warm to eat, okay, maybe it was worth all the scary stuff he’d seen.
“Yes, chewy order and food! Lots of it, I’m cold. Heating pad too.”

He knew the other wouldn’t be pleased at the idea of bathing Omen, the cat hair and all that, even if he wasn’t allergic to the mauvian. It was still a sanitary thing which he understood. Kioshi also accepted certain things, like this, because it meant a cleaner cat with less mats and less hairs around his home once washed and brushed out. It was the better option, and he could clean the bathtub out easily enough, in the end it had the better outcome.
Falling in line at his partner's side, as Lorcan had gone and scooped up Omen, he nodded his head. “I’ll clean the tub out once the bath is done. It won’t be hard gathering wet cat hair to remove it all. We can properly, and more fully, clean things in the morning.” Tonight he wanted to rest, even put on a movie, as he’d had a rather eventful night and not in a good way - not like attacking a senshi or a knight.
“Food sounds good.” So did being warm, since he was cold, though he hadn’t been dipped into ice cold water like Omen had been. But bundling up in some warm clothing did sound nice. Thinking about clothing…he pulled off his sweater and held onto it so he could get it soaking in the sink in the hopes of saving it. He didn’t think, for a moment, about the new ink on his back as he bumped into Lorcan’s side gently. “I hope my text didn’t worry you.”

The fact that the mass of black fluff in his arms could so easily be paid off with food was both vexing and useful. Like now, he was glad to be able to get this over with as quickly as possible, even if he wasn't allergic to them like he was a normal cat. Setting Omen down on the edge of the tub, he went about getting the water just warm enough without being too hot for the mauvian. The frequent tail flicks against his shoulder as he pulled the pet-friendly soap and bath toys down had him sighing, though. The toys, a gift from his brother, niece, and nephew, were just some simple fake fish that swam around in the water, which were a hit with the mauvian. Looking over towards Kioshi as he shook droplets of water off his hands, he noticed the edge of redness on their back from the sliver he saw from this angle. It looked irritated and inflamed, something mildly worrisome since they hadn't mentioned a photoshoot or any play piercing sets being done as of late. Standing up, he pulled down a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide from the medicine cabinet. Getting a better look, he saw the expansive tattoo on their back, still fresh enough to be irritated by the clothing they'd been wearing. That and how they didn't look as well as they usually did. "You haven't been getting enough rest again..." Not quite scolding but showing his concern as he gently took the shirt from them and started the tap fully on cold. It was easier for him to take over cleaning up both messes in this moment as he looked down at the blood-soaked sweater. "You also... should be taking better care if you had gotten something so large done. It can't be helping with any of this; your immune system is probably shot right now." Avoiding looking at them as he worked, it wasn't hard to get the blood out under the ice-cold water. It stung his hands as he worked, but once he was satisfied and dabbed the little pink stain that remained with peroxide, it was gone. ---------------------------------------------- Omen thwapped and bapped Lorcan with his tail as he watched the water slowly fill the bottom of the tub. Trilling happily when the fish were plopped in as well, he stretched and dipped his paws into the half-filled bath before deciding it felt warm enough to plop right in. While something was going on between the other two, Omen was more than content moving around the bath and chasing the toy fish, pawing at them and rolling around in the water, even as a bit of pinkish red came out in it. Looking up as he heard the sink, paws wrapped around the fish as it flopped against his tummy, he noticed something was going on. Did Kioshi do a bad?

The fact Omen had bath toys, and that he enjoyed them, reminded him of a toddler splashing in the tub. It was not a surprise that the gifts had come from Lorcan's niece and nephew, it was fitting that gifts for essentially a child came from children, when he'd found out about them he'd gotten similsr items for his own home. At times, when he really thought about it, thigns felt a bit like co-parenting a child just doing so between two different homes. Two sets of everything, or similar enough items, it was an odd thing when he thought about it in such terms. It was still odd to even be dating, if he thought long and hard enough about that, but he was comfortable where he was. It hadn't impacted his life like he'd worried it might, he wasn't expected to conform or assumed to be a certain way, it worked well in fact.
"Omen, must you insist on using your tail to thump people?" Rolling his eyes from where he stood in the bathroom, watching as Lorcan got the toys down for the others bath. Yup, this felt like dealing with a child - their child. It was so jarring at times, like this, when Lorcan was taking charge and handling things while he watched on.
Surprised at the words, not really thinking about his still healing back, he turned as if to try and look down at his own back from over his shoulder - not the best of ideas. It was a move which caused a strain, a simple signal to his brain that it really wasn't a smart idea to twist his neck like that. "No, I'll admit I haven't." Because there was no denying it really, it was obvious, but he didn't mention why the poor sleeping habits. It was something he was working on, pushing himself over, trying to stretch himself far too thin and hoping he could manage it all. He wasn't as young and he wasn't Hisoka, this wasn't high school, and yet he was trying to manage so much on his own. Omen no doubt knew what he'd been doing, the mauvian knew everything about his life really, there were times he'd come home and just scoop the other up into his lap while he did homework...or studied - both. Omen was there when he complained, when he doubted himself and his plans, and when he just wanted to sleep. Omen knew what he was doing and why.
"I'm trying. I'm taking supplements and vitamin c to help mitigate things." To try and help what he was doing to himself, running himself down slowly but most assuredly. "I wasn't run down when I made the appointment.." Even as he spoke he knew Lorcan wouldn't be pleased, he'd worry, and he wasn't trying to excuse things - he was owning up to things. He knew he was in rough shape, had been since mid September. Glancing over to Omen for a moment, to make sure he was still occupied with his toys, Kioshi shifted and moved slowly so he could lean gently into the others side. "I'll take care of myself, better care, I promise." Or at least he'd try, he really would, he didn't like being so run down either. "I can take something for the inflamation." Because that was over the counter, and he was of course using what he needed to for the healing of his back, it was already itching which meant healing. It was a good thing even if it did drive him nuts, his arm had not been nearly so bad.
"I can stay tonight if you want?" Offering, venturing, he wasn't sure if Lorcan would agree. They weren't looking at him yet, busy with his shirt, which he did thank him for softly once it seemed to be clean.

Casting a glance over at Omen, he could tell the mauvian was watching them both. Even if they were a loudmouth focused mainly on food, they weren't stupid, and it was times like this that he appreciated that about the massive black fluffball. Letting out a sigh, he hung the sweater over the shower railing and turned back to look at Kioshi. "I know you've been busy, not coming over as often. But you need to rest, to take care of yourself." But that wasn't everything, not yet. He paused and watched them as they winced from pain. "You should have told me, you know, I worry about you." It wasn't something that had been a problem before; there was always some level of communitcating even if work left the times they spent together spread far apart. Pressing a palm to his temple, there was that twinge of a headache again, even if it was never as bad as the migraines they got. "You can stay the night, I already said it was okay." Trying not to speak sharply because this was Kioshi and not one of his family members, who never listened to his advice, he was still feeling off about the whole situation.

He did miss spending time wit hthe other, he really did, maybe he could spend more time at Lorcan's while working. He could bring some school work or even actual work with him, he could try and balance things a bit better. But that was the problem, and somewhere he knew that but didn't want to admit it, balance was near impossible it was why he wasn't sleeping as he should be. "I know, and I am sorry." Though he felt on edge, like if he said the wrong thing or did the wrong thing, he might just upset the other...step on thin ice that he didn't know was there and have it shatter under his feet.
They might have been dating for months now but this whole thing was new for them both, they'd just sort of walked into it, and Kioshi knew he wasn't good at this dating thing. He was too used to doing what he wanted and really not having to answer to anyone and just doing as he pleased. He'd done well so far, at least he thought he had, but he knew Lorcan had certain standards and he just wasn't so sure how solid they were - they being tthem together as a couple. If he misstepped would it all end? What would happen? It felt like it could head that way if he didn't watch himself right now, a feeling which was new and foreign to him.
"I don't like worrying you." Reaching out to touch, hesitating for a moment, his chilled finger tips moved to give some relief to the other. He knew when it seemed a headache was starting for Lorcan, easy enough to read by now, and it was something he could help with. "I know, I wanted to make sure." Because he wasn't sure if he'd upset the other or how much, if they might rescind the invitation to spend the night.
"I'll take better care of myself, I know I've been slacking." He knew it, had known it, but had decided to just push himself in order to get something done. It didn't need to be pushed so hard, so fast, and yet that's just what he'd been doing, Omen knew it.

It wasn't hard for him to notice the shift, that tension in the other's posture and face. The hesitation for a moment before he felt the relief of cold working to ease the headache before it got too bad. With a sigh, he leaned into the touch, partially surprised at the change in his partner over what he'd said. "We talked about communicating, perhaps regarding work at first, but you should have let me know that you were planning something this big." Reaching up to rest his hand over theirs, he wasn't sure how he liked hearing them making the same promises that he'd heard time and time again from patients about how they would take his advice and listen only to show up with the same issue later on or having done the opposite of what he advised. "At least come over for dinner more regularly so I can make sure you're eating well enough." Being a bit firmer, even though they were his partner, he still didn't like being left out of things when they had a history of migraines from stress. Looking over at Omen, who was now just sitting up and watching them both, he sighed again. "We'll talk more on this in the near future."

"Something to work on." Easy as it was it was still new for him, he'd never answered to anyone really. Between corrupting and dating Lorcan there really hadn't been anyone who he'd answered to, or told anything to, no plans he had to disclose or anything of the sort. Sometimes it was still hard to think of telling Lorcan something, to think of it as not a little nothing or that something might be too pointless to mention. He was getting better but he knew there was progress still to be made, to speak more and text more.
"I'll let you know in the future, you can keep me company as well next time. I wound up spending it with ear buds in and falling asleep at some point." He'd have rather had someone to talk to, it might have been better, but he hadn't wanted to talk to his artist. It would have just turned into a chat all about work, and clients, and he'd rather avoid that. He talked about it enough while at work, and even at times with Lorcan, he brought his work home often enough. He'd rather some time without that, especially when he was the client for once.
"I'd like that, perhaps half the week at my place and half at yours." Because he honestly would like that, dinner alone or even just with Omen had become a bit lonely. It wasn't a word he'd normally use, being that he was rather used to being alone, but he did feel it when he ate at home without the others company. "We can cook together as well." Because he wasn't going to expect, or even suggest, the other do all the cooking himself on the nights they ate at Lorcan's. At least things were calming and he could lean into the other while letting his fingers work against the others temples. "It would be good to have more home cooked meals. I've been grabbing food out a bit more often than I'd like." Though he was certain it was no where near what Hisoka had done, he was certain that had been worse, he was fairly certain that involved a lot of ramen.
"Alright, it seems the little one has decided to watch the parents." Rolling his blue eyes at the black fluff ball who was a little less fluffy right now; due to the water. "Warmer Omen?" Questioning the mauvian while he decided to just settle for letting his arms fall about Lorcan and laid his head on the other shoulder, eyes still on Omen. He might as well enjoy the calm, since the tension had passed for now, he did know there would at some point be a talk...one which he felt was long overdue but he was also dreading.
"If you're done we can get you out and dry you off."
