While being out in the cold wasn't ideal, Chang'E had felt the need to walk around. Being cooped up in the apartment was nice for the most part with Brioche there, but sometimes he wanted to look around more.

Powering up was just natural, more natural than the glamour he wore when out at the bakery or wandering among the humans. He liked them, really, he did, but he couldn't help but sometimes worry if they might react similarly to how they had a millennium ago if they knew what he looked like under the disguise.

Wandering down a stone path, through what was some sort of eastern-style garden center, he took time to look over the small structures, even if the plants had shriveled with the dropping temperatures.

He could agree with them because even now, he felt his scales prickling from the cold where the slits in his fuku showed them off. It was okay enough for now, though he still felt sluggish in this cold weather.

Hearing someone approaching, he turned his attention to them and waved slightly. "Evening," he responded, taking a moment to look over their outfit. He shifted his weight between feet, trying to also warm up slightly as he nodded.

"It's not as bad as it could be; you look only slightly better off. Is it always this cold around this time of year?" It had been a year now, and some change, since he'd ended up here, but he'd hoped that the cold had been a fluke before. Finding it happening again wasn't very uplifting on his already aimless shuffle with things.

Rubbing his hands together for a moment, he then pressed them to his face to try and warm up a bit. While it was unbearably cold, in his opinion, he still wanted to look around this stone garden, while it was lacking the usually large groups of people that tended to flock for photos.

"Almost a year, I think," he responded with uncertainty. Time wasn't as easy to feel now that things had changed so much, and there was life here that grew and went through stages of life. Nothing seemed stagnant as things had been while he'd wandered his planet.

"That's a good idea, perhaps I should bring more things along when I go out like this." Casting a glance over at the layers they had, he was at least a little jealous of it all, that and the quality of the fabric they wore. The gradient was impeccable, the edging and colors pristine. A fine ware if it were for sale or trade, and he found it hard to break that habit of eyeing things up.


"Oh, well, maybe. Something seems familiar about the stone structures here, but it has been nearly a millennium since my last time here." Perhaps more or less, math wasn't his strong suit when considering various time tables. That and with days bleeding together and how things changed with the seasons, he doubted anyone would fault him for being off by a hundred years either way. At least he knew nobody from back then would be around now to scold him for it.

With a shrug, he rubbed his hands over the exposed bits of his skin. It helped some and helped avoid too much more of the cold air getting to his skin.

"It certainly is colder now than it felt back then, but my memory of this place is a bit fuzzy after so long." With a sigh, he looked back over things and all the structures as he tried to place them in his memory.

Hearing the cough and the momentary reset it seemed they had at his phrasing, he laughed and rested his hands on his hips. "I seem to forget that such a period of time is long for people. So much time for people to forget older ways and traditions, while some held onto it, it seems."

Waving his hand to dismiss the apology, he rubbed at his chin and thought for a moment before responding. "Slightly of some areas back home, but more of the places I traded with here on this planet back then, before the superstitions put a stop to my visits." It had been both painful and frustrating, but he couldn't do anything about it back then, so he returned home empty-handed.

"I would like to see more of them, though, perhaps now or if you would be up for it on a warmer day?"
