Mzaha was as proud as she was beautiful - which was to say, she was absolutely beaming with joy at the cubs she'd brought into the world. They were still young, of course, but they were old enough to be climbing over her and their father. Which young Heir, Aurum, was doing right now, clambering over her back and up the back of her head, though his paws failed to find proper purchase and slipped off her instead. She'd positioned herself at the front of the alcove, trying to be the stopping point should any little paws try to move over her to escape into the rest of the pride.
As much as Mzaha loved the dwarves and the mountain they resided in, there was plenty dangerous places. She'd had nightmares when she'd been expecting, of little cubs falling into the forge - her night terrors had woken her husband on many a night with such thoughts.
The mountain is truly my home, but some days, I do long for the sunny savannah I grew up in. She thought. Maybe she could reach out to Kulta of Jalokivi, and she might be able to accompany one of the trading parties out, just so she might see the sun proper. Even going outside the mountain wasn't enough for her, because their mountain cast such a large shadow. I do not know if Dorin would hear of my leaving, anyway. Certainly not until the cubs are adolescents. She said. He does have that stubborn and protective streak on him.
As one of Aurum's paws stuck into her side, her worries were cast from her mind with a wince. "Dorin Durinson!" She called to her husband, as she twisted her head to try and grab at Aurum. "Come and take your heir from my shoulders this moment! I need a break from being the climbing structure." She said, heaving a sigh to replace the snarl that was curling into her voice.Fea Line In case you want your cub to join! Jovi of Shadows In case you want your cub to join!

Fea Line In case you want your cub to join! Jovi of Shadows In case you want your cub to join! It was all so weird still. A queen, his pride alive-- And then he felt Einarr pounce him. There was also his son, yes. Definitely the children. It all felt so fast in some ways, but the dwarven king wasn't unhappy. He moved, Einarr ruynning about his father's paws for attention as Dorin sat himself beside his mate, a warm look crossing the male's face. "The chukdreb aren't causing issues, are they?" Dorin asked. Einarr gave a little growl, pouncing his father's leg aggressively, but when Dorin didn't play, the cub huffed, turning. Well, fine, and Eiunarr turned, sitting to watch Aurum with a cuyrious gaze, ears flicking, watching the other male siulently, wondering if Aurum might wrestle.

Eyir (pronounced A-year, its from WoW lmao) crawled around from her mother's legs, peeking out at her father and her brothers who were already causing trouble. She gave them a huffy sister like look that suggested they better not get her in trouble before she began to groom her front paws. As her father asked if they were causing problems, she sat up right, holding out her chest, glancing over at him as if to say she was being very good daddy, did you see ?! She wondered if he did see before she looked up at her mom and placed a gentle paw on her mother's closest ankle. "Mama?" she said softly, not wanting to interrupt.

Mzaha smiled a little at her husband, dear to her and mindful of the cubs who clambered around him. "No more issues than one might expect of cubs," She informed him. "Yet I feel as though I can be a tree for them to climb no longer. I wish to have a moment's rest from this cubsitting, if only for a moment. Do you think that Johari, or any of her rank in Freyja may come to our aid, to cub mind?" She trusted the Matriarch well enough - it was nice to have another leader who was a female, but she wasn't familiar with anyone beyond Johari in the Freyja Clan. She supposed finding feminine males in a pride of rough-housing dwarves could prove difficult enough. Yet besides the Matriarch herself, no female dwarf was meant to set paw in the Clan. She flicked her ears; the dwarvenlands were so full of traditions... and maybe it was due to her rogue nature, but she often found them convoluted and outdated. Why could there not be a female member of Freyja, if a lioness wanted to? Why were the Clans so strict about gender and pelt color? She flicked her ears again. She would understand it, in time, or... if she didn't, well she would learn their ways anyway. She was the Queen, after all.
Her gaze turned from Dorin at the gentle touch of one of her daughters and she turned a gentle smile to Eyir. "Yes, dear? What do you wish to say?" She asked, vaguely aware of Aurum climbing down off her shoulders, to prowl towards his brother.Aurum was a quiet cub, contemplative and curious. He wasn't always climbing on his mother, or wrestling with his brother, but he understood that his mother was talking about adult thing with his father and so, bored, he turned his gaze to his dark pelted brother. Flexing his paws as he came around the bend of his mother's leg, he passed his sister, Eyir and then stood across from Einarr, staring at his brother and flexing his tiny paws.
Aurum never made the first move, but he would always engage in a tussle, if someone else pounced at him, first.

"That's good."Dorin smiled, moving beside his mate. His stocky, muscular frame lay down tocub level, asilent, enticing play ground if hischikldren wished. He wasn't... Good at this, but he tried. Nearby, Einarr watched his father settle, then looked to his sisters, before looking to Aurum again. He wassmall, moredwarven size than he liked admitting, as cubs often wanted toi be big and strong, but he alsohad an audiance, and his ears flicked thoughtfully. However, for all that, he deemed it morevaluable to not try trouble, instead humming an old dwarven song he heard one of the nannies sing as he rose, trotting instead to bat some rockjs. He liuked the sound oif the ehythym they made, and smiled.

Aardhi was certainly more on the shy side when it came to her siblings. Shy, quiet, and more content to simply watch, listen, and learn than involve herself in most of the rough housing that went on. She was resting near her mother's hip, tucked into a little cub ball as bright eyes looked out towards her brothers and sister. Although she was happy and content to stay near her mother, as that was often one of her favorite places, her green eyes quickly darted to Dorin as their father made a move to lay down near them. "Da!" she squeaked excitedly, hoping to catch his attention, before darting her head back behind Mzaha to 'hide' from him. Hehe, she was such a good hider.
