Omen had been getting off easy, very easy, for a mauvian as he was treated more like a pet cat who just happen to talk rather than a mauvian with tasks and duties to fulfill. But Kioshi, a rebel at heart, wasn't the sort to push people into doing what they did not want to do. He'd rebeled against his parents as soon as he'd gotten out of high school, of that he was certain, though he retained no memories of such happening he knew it had taken place. So he'd never pushed Omen into risking himself, in fulfilling his duties, if he didn't want to. It wasn't his place to decide such things.
It was Lorcan who had suggested he take Omen out with him to hunt down order, because he enjoyed hunting down order whenever he could, because Omen could cover his signature thus allowing him to get the drop on any unsuspecting senshi or knight he might come across. It was a good idea and one he'd run by Omen, because he wasn't going to force the mauvian to join him, and it had been a surprise for the corrupt when Omen had agreed to coming with him tonight.
Lorcan knew they'd gone out, he'd texted the other as much, now he just had to keep Omen somewhat on task. That task wasn't just covering up his signature but being mindful of the holiday dangers - so the other didn't get hurt. He'd warned him ahead of time, because of course he had, but now he had to keep the mauvian on the look out. That was the hard part, especially since Omen was on the ground walking at his side, tail up in the air like some waving flag of darkness.
"When we get home you can pick what you want from the fridge." As a treat, a reward, for doing good and coming out with him. He had bought options, because he always had options in the fridge, for Omen. Normally he picked what he was making for the other but not tonight, not when they got home, he'd let the other decide and he'd make it however he wanted. "You can also buy a few things, for yourself, on Chewy and have it delivered. They have a Halloween section." And maybe a Christmas one as well by now, because everyone pushed Christmas as quickly as they could.

This was all too annoyinggggg and boring. But Lorcan had said that going out always meant better snacks would be stocked in the fridge. The blond was winning him over, and at least, for the most part, he didn't actually need to do terribly much. Just keeping near his owner and making sure nobody felt them, that was easy enough, and at this point, he felt like maybe he could do it without thinking too much about it. The extra bribery from Kioshi had him purring and thumping his side into the man's leg. "I want another soft bed, something nice for when you're working so I can watch." It was his goal to have one in every room so he could be comfy while keeping an eye on them. Lorcan had given him a task to look out for certain things when the blond wasn't home, so he needed to stick close to Kioshi. At the mention of Halloween though, he thought about toys and then paused in his walk to focus on something ahead. "Oh... something to play with!" Trilling slightly as he lowered to the ground and wiggled to pounce ahead, he leapt and then batted the two cubes towards Kioshi. "What's this?" Though when he went to pick one up in his mouth, everything seemed to shift and he could almost hear Lorcan scolding him even now.

If only he knew his partner was bribing his mauvian, he might bribe him as well, but alas Kioshi was clueless as to what a certain blond was doing. Though he also would have questioned why, were they worried about something. Instead though he was nodding along to Omen’s request. “We can do the beds, I think they make heated ones as well.” Though he did have a kotatsu he’d be setting up once it got cold enough. He would offer a heated cat bed anyway, figuring he might want it for somewhere far away from where the kotatsu would be, like the bedroom or his computer desk. “Just give me a list of what you want and we’ll go over it.” See what made sense, and spread the cost out, he woild likely get him everything just not all at once.
His eye sight was nowhere near as good as Omen’s and normally he wouldn’t care, right now was not one of those normal times, as the large mauvian leapt at something. When one was batted his way he froze, staring in horror, he knew what was about to happen and before he could warn Omen the mauvian was vanishing. s**t, he’d have to join him, there was no way he could leave Omen to whatever the board game decided to do this year. Pulling a burner phone out of subspace he sent a quick text to Lorcan to let him know, it was a good idea that he kept one in subspace, that done and the phone back where it had been and Miyamoto was picking up the die and letting it ya k him out of the city and it’s relative safety.
“That’s what I was going to warn you about. This city gets dangerous this time of year.” Now he had to explain how things worked, great.

Starign wide-eyed at the new surroundings he found himself in, Omen curled his tail around his paws and curled up like a loaf. Kioshi was gone, and he didn't like wherever this was. The cube in his mouth tasted funny, and he was about to drop it when Kioshi reappeared, and he hopped back up. "How was I supposed to knowwwwww it looked like fun," Omen whined. With his paws up on their leg, standing on his back legs, Omen tried to headbutt their hand. Dropping the dice in the process, he growled as it fell like something was pushing him away from his human and forward. It felt like he'd crossed a barrier, and then he heard others laughing, though it sounded far off. "Uh.... Miyamotoooo." Remembering this time to use that name, since this wasn't normal play time, he looked back at his human and puffed up to make himself look bigger to whoever was laughing at him. Quote: Space 1: You feel eyes upon you, and hear a faint chuckling, like you’re the butt of someone’s joke. It sets a bad mood for the rest of this game; you’re already being judged–and, it looks like a long road ahead.

Space 3: A strange fog rolls in once you land here. You lose sight of nearly everything, including the game board. If you want to roll, you’re going to have to get close to the ground to even see where you’re supposed to go next. Hopefully nothing sneaks up behind you.
"From now on, this time of year you don't touch strange things unless you know where it came from." Because it wasn't that he couldn't touch anything new, such as toys and the like, but anything he didn't know the origin of he shouldn't be touching. The chances of things being magical, and dangerous, was high this time of year. "I let Lorcan know about this." So he'd at least know if either of them was acting off, or was injured, he'd know why. He'd gone through this gameboard last year so knew all about it, and he'd likely never touch a stray gameboard piece on the street ever again...even if it wasn't a die.
Reaching down to pet Omen before they were being pushed off he watched, listened, and shook his head lightly. "Ignore it, it's magic." Watching as Omen tried to puff up to appear larger, as if he wasn't already large enough. The mauvian was almost too heavy to carry, unless he was powered up, and Omen was far too heavy to let lay on his chest.
With his own die in hand he rolled it across the ground before picking it up and making his way three spaces down from where he'd arrived. Once he arrived Miyamoto took a moment to take stock of things, to see if he heard anything or even sensed anything. Nothing. Nothing but a heavy fog that rolled in. There wasn't any sounds and nothing moveing in the fog, not that he could tell anyway.
"Roll your die and move again Omen, we have to play this game through. Just remember it's all magic." And once it was over he'd be giving the mauvian whatever he wanted. "Once we get home you'll get whatever you want - for being a brave cat." Mauvian, not a cat, Omen hadn't been a cat in a while really.

The scritches Kioshi gave him helped, making him feel a little better about all of this. The light scolding that came with it had him grumble, but he knew that they knew more about all this. Lorcan kept trying to get him to learn more about this, so maybe he should listen a bit more since this was scary enough already. Batting the dice again, looking at it as it tumbled over the ground, he moved forward slowly and kept low to the ground even as his tail stood straight up and poofed up like a pinecone. Sneezing when he made it as far as he was supposed to, the smell was awful, like that one health thing Lorcan drank sometimes, and tried to get him to try once. Looking into the darkness, he saw something move and hissed at it. Maybe this was magic, like Kioshi said, but he didn't like it at all. "Something hereeeeeeee," he whined and put his paw on the die to get ready to roll it again. Quote: Space 4: Something smells rotten. You can’t see very far into the darkness, but if you squint closely a dark form seems to be dragging itself along the ground. Sometimes you see a pale hand almost close enough to grab you–or, maybe something does grab you. It’s cold, and frightening, and it’s trying to drag you out of bounds.

Space 5: A dog barks, fierce and frightening. You can hear its growl and the hackles stand up on the back of your neck. You can practically feel spittle on you. It’s close. And it’s big. And it’s angry. If this beastly dog could reach you, no doubt it would try to tear you to shreds.
Rolling his die was not easy, he'd had to get onto his hands and knees in order to see it...and find it again. Crawling about with his hands spread out in order to feel around for it. He was sure he looked ridiculous - he felt it for sure. Standing up and stumbling, slowly, the eternal managed to head two spaces forward and again stopped. He needed to stop and take the time to just feel, to see what was coming his way.
Once he knew he was safe Miyamoto focused on Omen, and how he was handling his own square. "It's ok, something might be there but ignore it - don't engage. If you don't engage and tempt it, if you roll your die and move fast, you can avoid a lot of things." Not everything, he wouldn't say that, but he could avoid most of the things. "Just remember it's all magic - none of it's real." Yup, he would be pampering the mauvian as soon as they got home from this. He wasn't sure how, aside from what he'd already promised Omen, but he knew he'd be doing more for him.
"We'll be fine Omen - we're safe." As safe as could be anyway. Busy with Omen, and his worry, the eternal almost didn't hear the growling that was aimed at himself. Almost was however the key word...he did notice, it just took some time. But once he noticed it he froze and took the time to look around again. He didn't see anything but the growling turned into barks, loud ones, and he was glad he didn't own a dog right now. It was near to him though, closer than he'd like, how had he not noticed it till now though? When he'd taken the time to sense his surroundings out he hadn't felt something so close...something so large and close. Damn it.

Hearing the other, he pawed at the dice again until everything seemed to calm down and let him move forward. It still smelled gross for a moment but as he made it to the next square that the die had told him to go to, he saw something right in front of him. It slithered on the ground nearby and even though Kioshi had said it was magic, he couldn't help but swat and hiss at the thing. Unfortunately, that meant the thing, which he now realized was a snake, decided to attack him. Hissing and yowling, he rolled with the thing as he bit at it. "Snakeeeee! Kioshi snakessssss," he whined as he tried not to let the thing bite him, but he could see more of them approaching as he tried to hit the dice with his tail. Quote: Space 8: Something slithers across your foot, so fast that you might have thought you imagined it. Except, a few seconds later, it happens again. And then, again. Snakes keep moving across your space. If you move, they see you–and they might bite. Some of them hiss, some are capable of spraying a poisonous liquid that can cause itchiness or burning.

Space 6: You hear a shrill, humming noise; it sounds almost like something is firing past you–and sometimes, you even feel a sharp burst of air, like something has just missed you. Maybe, even, it does get a slice out of you. Sharp, bladelike threads seem to string up around you; you’d best be careful not to get cut on any of them between now and your next dice roll.
"Don't fight it!" Though it was clearly too late, the other was already rolling about fighting a large snake. "Don't let it bit you, and get to that die and roll it as fast as you can." That in mind he rolled his own quickly, as something was moving closer to himself, he didn't like this game - it wasn't entertaining in any manner.
"If you fight things it gets worse..." Though he knew that would be hard to get Omen to do, especially when he was so close to the ground and a snake was right there as well; on the ground. Scooping up his own die, once he'd rolled it, Miyamoto made his way quickly. Again he stood, took his time, once he was on the new square. He soon heard it, bursts of air, something was moving fast and it was close. When he looked around he found what looked like trip wires but oh so thin, and dangerous he was sure, when one of them sliced across his cheek, drawing blood, he hissed and jerked away like one would with a papercut. Cursing as he jerked from the sudden cut only to move right into the next line - the next burst . Another cut, this one to the side of his neck, more blood, right down his neck and down the collar of his uniform and hidden by his clothing.
Lorcan was not going to be pleased, he knew it, this wouldn't be good and he wouldn't be able to escape either since Lorcan knew where they were and would want to check on them both. If he tried to avoid it Omen would just give him up anyway.

How could he not fight them? Just let the things eat him? Puffing up more as his tail finally hit the dice, the snakes vanished, and he lay there for a moment and tried to lick at one particularly bad acid burn on his front paw before the invisible force pushed his fluffy body over. Hissing again, he looked up and saw a bunch of small creatures descending from the ceiling. "Why can't you helpppppp!" He hissed as he felt some of them flapping at him, at least he was able to sort of dodge some of them and paw at the die again. Quote: Space 11: You hear a frantic flapping above you, but that’s all the warning you get before a hoard of bats descend. They scratch and slap and screech, but you avoid getting bitten. For now. You’ve invaded their space and they seem keen to defend it. You can try to fight them, but the only way to escape them is to roll again.

"I'm pretty sure I can't, these walls will likely keep my magic from doing anything for you." Though he'd never tried the logic made sense to him, this gameboard forced them to play and made sure they continued on without going too far along the board. There was no way it would let his magic work in order to help Omen.
The space Omen had just left was now his space, great, at least he knew what to expect and he knew to do his best to ignore the snakes. It was a good thing he didn't have a fear of them, otherwise he would surely be screwed, it seemed the snakes had decided they needed to give him their attention as several turned up making their way toward him. Across hi slippered feet and brushing against his uniform. One seemed to lay itself along his hair, following the path his hair made on the ground.
"Bats...great. You don't want them biting you..." These were like the ones from last year - right? "But go ahead and attack them..." They'dbe impossible to avoid being bitten by, they were flying, they had an advantage. "Just kill them if you want to."

Well, was he or was he not allowed to kill these things? Either way, it didn't matter as he hit the die again and all the bats disappeared. Huffing and trying to fix his fur as he moved ahead, he heard a crack, but even as the floor beneath him seemed to start cracking more, he was able to hop and avoid falling in too much. Just his back legs and tail sank below the water, having him growl at how cold and wet it was before he scrambled up onto one of the bigger pieces of floating ice. "Wet! Grossss."Quote: Space 16: As you step into your square, something cracks. At first, you can’t tell what it is, but as your full weight moves onto the square, the ground shifts beneath you. It’s cold, and it’s ice, and a hole falls underneath you, plunging you into frigid waters. There’s enough floating ice that you should still be able to roll the dice to get out of here, but you have to go quickly–you’re soaked, in chilly water, and something just swam by your feet.

Space 14: The ground is sticky. You land on this and immediately dip, as though you’ve stepped on a trampoline. Close inspection reveals that you are standing on an intricately woven web–and your shoes are stuck. And something is skittering just on the horizon.
"I'll help dry you off when we get home." Wiping at the blood on his cheek, smearing it across his skin, as he huffed while kneeling slowly and with great caution. Rolling his die he reached to pick it up, gently, as he tried to avoid the wires as he didn't care to get cut anymore than he'd already been.
"You can even take a hot shower if you want, warm up, while I work on food for you." Then he'd let Omen look over Chewy's website and pick some things out for himself. Omen needed some new things anyway, not to mention he was being a good boy. Moving, he was being pushed and had no choice, to the next spot he was destined to stand on the eternal was not pleased when he soon found it hard to move his feet. His feet didn't want to move, it was hard to lift them, the ground didn't want to give him his foot when he went to lift it. Something was holding his foot down, something was sticky, and it kept him from moving with ease.
"Omen, roll when you can. The sooner we get done the sooner we get home." And he knew the mauvian would wanna get home, he wanted to get home. Also, he was sure something was moving around him, he just couldn't see it, he needed out of this spot and the faster the better.

With one last roll, Omen moved forward and was surprised by the bright light in the last square. Nothing seemed to attack; the floor didn't move or crack, so Omen plopped down and started to groom himself for a moment.
Now he just needed Kioshi to make it through, then they could go home, and everything would be okay. "I think I'm done!" He called out before stretching and trying to fix some of the messed-up fur on his tail.

Gonna double up) Space 20: The end; once you have arrived here you are free to leave. You will see be basked in the glow of a beautiful, opalescent aura that will take you back home. If you arrived with a guest, you can leave without them or choose to stay until they make it to the end as well. When you arrive back in Destiny City, you may choose to keep the six sided die–if nothing else, it’s pretty! Though, it doesn’t seem to have any magical qualities, that might be for the best.
The die didn't really roll, as it couldn't due to the ground, but and he was hoping that would be taken into account. The fact that the magic of this square made rolling impossible had to be known by said magic, and taken into account, as it wasn't his fault. As he dropped the die it tried to roll, end over end once, and got stuck as he knew it would. But he scooped it up, just missing a large hairy leg, and bolted from the square.
Wiping at the blood on his face, ignoring the red trailing down from his neck, it was all so bothersome and he didn't like the wet feeling against his skin. Joining Omen the long haired eternal bent to pick him up slowly. "Time to get home." And to Destiny City they would go, thankfully, and he knew they'd have to see Lorcan...or the man would turn up at his home. It would be better to just go to his home...
