Deep under New Houston is an ancient volcano. It hasn't erupted in millions of years because it was the birthplace of Cassarria. Within that volcano, deep in the heart of it, is a building that looks like a temple. The walls hold images of her life, from her 'birth' when the volcano first erupted to the night Varos put a blade to her throat and stole her heart.
In the heart of that temple is the altar that formed in the exact place where she first drew breath. At different times she has retreated here to sleep and let time pass. This place re-energizes her, heals her, and holds her secrets safe.
Above the temple but still below the sub-levels of the Club, lies the floor where Cassarria lives with Varos.
There is a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and a fully stocked gym and weapons room. That last was a gift she'd surprised Varos with on their first anniversary. He was suitably grateful.
The bedroom has an access point to the temple, but few can survive the walk into the heart of the volcano. Only Cassarria and Varos can get to the temple. It is also undetectable. Cassarria has guarded her birthplace for millions of years and will continue to do so.

A flash of flame brought Cassarria and Varos into the temple below their floor with him kissing her. She only gave a deep moan as he laid her back on the altar and took her over. ((Time skip)) Eventually, he let her sleep on the altar after wearing her out. She would need to stay in the temple for a little while anyway to keep her from accidentally setting off any rumblings from the volcano. Up on their floor, he'd be able to shower. Although getting the scratches and bites clean was likely going to sting. But he enjoyed the effect he had on her, so he wasn't likely to complain. There were a few messages for them. Notices for his shipping empire, notes from her siblings, a list of New Houston's young elite that had been kicked out of the Club for bad behavior, and a note about the WereBear clan that he was helping with transportation to Sebastet's island after the attack that had hit them hard. That last one was something he'd arranged personally. The entire Den, plus their herd of horses, had needed a safe place to go. The only payment he'd asked for was a counter to the anti-human vaccine. Doc and Vulture had worked hard on it. Doc had been on the second ship to the island. Vulture was supposed to go with her brothers on the next ship in a week. She was supposed to be working on making more of the antidote. But this notice was saying that Vulture and her brothers were missing... The Den was asking for help in finding them. And Vulture was the only one that knew the formula to the antidote... The lab had been checked. It was clean. No disturbance. That meant that they had to have disappeared somewhere else. According to the note, they'd gone on a shopping run but hadn't come back. No one at the store remembered seeing them. And it was hard to dismiss these individuals. They would have been remembered. Now... How to tell Cassarria that three of their guests were missing...

Varos’ mood dipped, they were as much his responsibility as anyone else here, and he’d given them his assurance they would be safe during the transition to the island. He sighed as he realized that they had been days from boarding either his ship or one of the others in his fleet, poor timing, and was going to have to delay their departure until he could discover what had happened to the three that had gone missing, seemingly out of thin air, unusual to say the least, the church wasn’t nearly as careful, and he’d heard rumors of RRT capturing them so they weren’t likely to have done it. His mood had soured he hadn’t realized that Cassarria had already woken up having sensed his mood change and was by him, her touch had snapped him out of his thoughts “we’ve lost three bears, vulture and her brothers just disappeared, not likely the church or RRT but who knows” his mood was borderline growly as he stood there still looking at the note and when he did finally put the note down he’d turned to look at her “we’ll need to track them down” He wrapped his arms around Cassarria and held her close taking comfort in her presence but his temper was borderline rage.

Cassarria gave a sigh over the news but knew that it would have to be handled. She could feel his anger increasing and made a decision for the both of them. She just hoped he wouldn't be upset over it. Her sapphire eyes gave off a brief glow as she pulled his anger and rage into herself, "I have to rest for at least a day. I'll take your anger so that you can think clearly and leave you in charge until I can leave the temple without setting off the volcano," she was underestimating the time she would have to stay in the temple. In truth, she needed a minimum of two days. By taking his temper into herself, she might have added some extra time to that. But it was worth it in her opinion. Especially if she was going to be trying a targeted earthquake. She moved up on her toes to give him a teasing kiss and a sultry smile, "Maybe check in with Garos. See if he's pulled his head out of the sand. If not, give him some more work. Otherwise, check with our contacts to see if anyone knows where the bears were taken," she offered then gave him a wink as she started to pull away. "I'm planning on poaching a security expert soon to take charge here. They'll need a bit of training on living with our technology but they learn fast and adapt well. They will also work perfectly in the Club because they deal with weapons other than firearms on a daily basis. They're just coming from a backdated realm. Something to put your mind to when you need a distraction," she added before taking the stone stairway that led back down to the temple. Of course, she could feel his eyes on her as she walked away. She knew he loved watching her. Especially when she wasn't wearing anything. And she dearly loved teasing him. Almost as much as she loved jumping him. Over the years, she'd introduced him to her siblings as well as her contacts so he had plenty to choose from for information. From all aspects of life in the area... Before she finished getting down the stairs, there was a hint of a rumble from the volcano. A warning sign that meant she'd pushed herself almost too far this time. If she didn't spend regular time within the temple, that volcano would certainly erupt. Only the fact that she'd been sleeping in it at the time had saved the area during the Disaster. She finally got down the stairs and returned to the altar, the volcano calming down once more, going almost dormant as she laid down and closed her eyes.

Cassarria went back into the temple inside of the heart of the volcano, to the altar that marked the exact place where she came to life. Whenever her powers became unstable she had to come back here. She'd only ever tried to fully leave it a few times and the world paid for it. So, for now, she was stuck lounging down here for a few days. But, she got a visitor. One of the few that could come see her here. She looked up at the woman and smiled, "How surprising... Thank you for alleviating my boredom. But what brings you to see me?" she asked her. The Goddess smiled in return. Theirs was an interesting friendship. Cassarria was one of few that were older than She was. "A week. She has one task to perform then she will be able to leave," she said simply Cassarria sat up fast, her face showing shocked excitement, "You figured out how to break the Binding?!" The Goddess shook her head sadly, "My brother did. She's been free since he died. She'll leave after the funeral," she explained sadly. Cassarria moved to hug her "I'm sorry that was the cost. Has she agreed to come here?" she asked the question as she pulled the Goddess to sit on the altar next to her. She shook her head, "She only wants to leave. I told her I had a place she could go. You'll need to prepare those here for her arrival," she said with a shrug of one shoulder. Cassarria nodded in thought, "I'm down here for a few days. Varos is upstairs dealing with some missing bears. One of them is the only one that reproduce the vaccine. Plus taking on RRT and getting the rest of the pack free," she explained those points and shrugged as well. The Goddess gave her a smile, "Well, I can help with part of that," she said enigmatically and offered her hand. Cassarria took it cautiously then sucked in a deep breath in shock at the power that moved into her. Her fire was calmed, her power stabilized. She'd be able to leave the temple without worry. She pulled the Goddess in for another hug, "Thank you..." she said softly. As they pulled apart, the Goddess offered one more thing before she left, "Look for Divine power," she said as she faded from sight. Cassarria didn't wait. She went upstairs and got dressed in a flowing gown that matched her hair, looking like lava come to life as she left their suite to head for her office and her Husband...

Varos certainly made her scream repeatedly. He also exhausted her enough that she wouldn't be causing any ground shakes for a while. He actually chuckled as he had to carry her to the bathroom to clean up. Sexy b*****d...He also carried her back to bed then pulled her in against him as sleep pulled them both down. She dropped into a memory disguised as a dream. Cassarria was walking through the floors of the Club. The floors were quiet, the patrons and staff had all gone home. There were people down on the first floor and on the security and office floors. But the Club itself was still and calm.
She loved walking through the Club during these hours, surveying her domain and working out plans to improve it.
She was wearing a long dress that hugged her upper body and waist before spreading into a flowing skirt with a slit at her left leg that went from ankle to hip. It gave the appearance of flames, moving from a dark blue at the hem to match her hair at the shoulders. Elven silk, of course. Only they could capture the pure essence of fire like this. Her hair was twisted up off of her neck to cascade over one shoulder, showing off the curve of her neck while displaying the unique colors of her hair at the same time. She wore no jewelry. She didn't need it.
Her sapphire eyes moved over the stage on the Devil's Floor and considered who she wanted to play tonight. There was that new singer that held potential...
She didn't know he was there until she felt the blade against her skin and his body heat behind her. It was an obvious threat. It was dominant and demanding. It was reckless and suicidal.
She felt her libido kick into overdrive...
But she held still and waited to see what he wanted. He finally spoke in a growl that almost made her purr.
"I'm not here to hurt you. I just need to borrow your facilities for a little bit while I assess your neighbors and figure out where I'm going next. I just can't have your neighbors find out I'm here," he demanded of her, his breath moving over her skin making her shiver for a delicious reason.
Honestly? She could have turned him into a Roman Candle or just a pile of ash. But he intrigued her with his suicidal audacity.
She felt herself smiling, "I have the perfect place for you to hide out. Only two people have access to it. Myself and my building manager, Garos. Even the cleaning crew has to be escorted in, guarded, then escorted out," she didn't bother to hide the sultry purr in her voice, "You'll also have access to the security floor where you can watch my neighbors for as long as you like," she added.
She raised her hand to the one that held the blade to her throat, adjusting it just enough that she could turn in his arms. Even in her heels, he was tall enough that she had to look up at him. She met his eyes and smiled again, deciding that she liked what she saw.
Something led her to take him to her floor, showing him how to get the elevator to go down to it. There was a trick with the panel, of course. He'd hesitated when he realized that she only had one bed and a plush chair in the living room. She didn't even have a couch. He hesitated again when she got brazen, telling him openly that she wanted to take him to bed. She woke up briefly and simply watched him sleep as she considered her dream and the years they'd spent together so far. Something had drawn him to her, she guessed, and he'd never left. It still took him six months to Claim her. They were officially married the next week. Ice had enjoyed that challenge. They'd been together for more than a decade now. She thought the deciding factor for him had been her inability to have children. While volcanos could create, they were mainly objects of destruction and change. Children didn't happen among her kind. Well, mostly. There were a few exceptions to that but it didn't happen often. She did wonder if he'd realized yet the changes he'd undergone since bonding with her. Oh he knew about the powers, certainly. But the rest of it? She didn't know if he'd picked up on it yet. He would now live much longer. As long as she did, if no one killed him. His aging had nearly stopped at this point. His body, however, was showing signs of getting stronger, healthier, closer to what it was in his prime. He wasn't regressing, just becoming the best of himself. It would continue to happen over the years until he became the perfection of himself. She wondered if she should tell him or if she should let him figure it out. She'd started to notice it by their fifth year and had asked one of her siblings about it. That had been a new education... Rreessa had always enjoyed causing chaos, but her husband kept her in check. Mostly. He'd been with her for... About twelve thousand years now, give or take a few. They'd kept most of India intact and still enjoyed "tinkering" with the natives. All of them. Cassarria turned to her side and snuggled closer to Varos, closing her sapphire eyes as she felt his arm tighten around her as he slept. She relaxed into sleep again, her hand resting over his heart as she settled into dreams of a much more erotic nature.
