Warm rays of light heated the slightly cluttered living room of the small apartment, catching on various fabrics and findings and making them glimmer like fabulous treasures. A costume sat on a mannequin, half finished while waiting for a fitting, and three other various projects were in various states of finishing near by. Sakura had found her rhythm, it seemed, and found what she loved doing. She still worked at the Encore part time, though she seemed significantly less stressed now, often laughing with Noa about some ridiculous joke or bumping against her playfully. Life had really and truly come back into the once fiery woman. And then Akito happened.

The thing about leaving an entire lifetime behind, walking away from the person you used to be, was that you didn't expect your past to come knocking on your front door and declare it was your brother. But then again, nothing ever did seem to go as planned for Sakura. When Akito had found her and come into her life, she found herself experiencing a new sort of stress, torn between affection for a familiar face and wanting to strangle him half of the time. She had no recollection of if this was how it had always been, just having to trust his word and the few scattered memories she had when he saw her as Ako, but she swore to every god there was that they'd better grant her some patience.

This, however, left yet another small issue that she needed to address. Since her corruption, Sakura had thought of Aloy and Liam as her family, not having anyone else that fit the bill for that. But now, she had Akito as well, and he was nosey. Infinitely so. She had mentioned both men a few times, when Akito had asked how she had fared on this side of things, and he proceeded to badger her about meeting them. Finally, she gave in, deciding to introduce him to Liam first and let Aloy at least be braced for his nonsense by whatever Liam might tell him afterwards. Which was how she found herself sitting in her apartment with Akito practically vibrating with excitement as she worked on some hand stitching.

"Akito. If you don't hold still, I'm going to jam this needle into your shin. Calm down." She gave her brother a long suffering look before turning her attention back to her craft.

Leg bouncing in anxiety masked as eagerness, Akito sighed dramatically. "Sakuraaaaaaa. You're so cruel! Do you treat this guy the same way? Or are you only a bully to me?" His whining earned a sharp glare from his sister and he hid a grin. It was times like this, when he got under her skin and she gave him a look that could burn him alive, that he saw the old her, saw Zakuro again. He knew it wasn't fair of him, knew that it wasn't fair to her, but he wasn't ready to let go of that person yet. There were so many similarities between Sakura and Zakuro, and yet far more were the differences. So whenever he found something that was familiar, he did whatever he could to elicit that from her as much as he could.

Sighing again, Akito leaned back against the back of the couch. "These people... they're really important to you, aren't they?" He peered at Sakura out of the corner of his eye as she nodded, then sighed yet again. "Alright. I won't ******** it up then. If they're important to you, then they're important to me." That had always been the way it was with them. No matter their personal feelings on the other person, if they were important to one of them, then they were important to both of them. Now, he just had to wait for this Liam guy to show up and see what the fuss was actually about. He didn't have to wait long, it seemed, as Sakura got up and answered the door at the first knock. He watched curiously as her entire demeanor softened and she welcomed the guest into the apartment.

Liam was nervous, he figured he had good reason to be, he'd been invited by Sakura to come over and meet her brother. He was unsure how her brother had found her, he knew she'd lost her civilian memories, but apparently some impossible things happened. He figured when magic entered the picture the impossible was now just slightly less impossible...thus making it possible, just rare, so he'd agreed to meet and without his spouse. He figured it best to meet first and see how it went, depending on things he'd let Aloysius know, he didn't want to risk anything happening...such as Sakura being yanked away from Destiny City by her brother and thus yanked away from Chalcanthite's team. It was why he had not told his pouse, he didn't need him worrying potentially over nothing, he'd talk to him once things were assured and safe.

Deciding it best to be seen in the best possible way, he needed to make a good impression, he'd brought over a container of food which he'd made earlier in the day.

Approaching the front door he stood there a moment, taking a breath, before raising his hand to knock. He could have powered up, and had Dessire cover his signature, so he could just mirror walk on over but that wasn't safe really. Dessire was loyal to his partner and was his mauvian, he knew that, and she would mention him going over with food to see Sakura. While she wouldn't know why he was going over, to meet her brother, she would likely mention it to Aloysius and his husband would likely ask abotu things...and Liam was terrible with lying - he'd tell him.

Sakura opened the door and smiled warmly at Liam, moving out of the way for him to come in. "I'm glad you came. Really. Sorry about the mess, I'm working on about five projects at the same time." She gestured at the apartment as she spoke, heading further in with him. "Before I accepted Aloysius's deal, I told someone what I intended to do. At the time, he was nothing more than a civilian and his only knowledge of any of our world came from what I told him as a very inexperienced senshi. This loser managed to flirt his way into getting brought into things, just for the purpose of finding me, however." She shot Akito a look before turning back to Liam.

"While I don't remember much, especially about anyone I was connected to, Akito knew me both as a civilian and as Ako. There's...enough memory there rattling around in my head that I know he isn't lying about who he was to me. We can trust him." If there was even a hint of a doubt, for even the barest of seconds, she never would have suggested Liam meeting him. Especially not Liam, who was so sweet and kind, who had helped her back on her feet more than once since coming into his life. Putting him in any sort of danger was something that Sakura would never in a million years allow.

"So...I would like to introduce you to Akito Takahashi, my brother of sorts. Akito, this is Liam. He and his husband took me into their home and gave me everything I could ever have asked for and then some. They're family to me."

As Sakura spoke, Akito sat up a bit straighter and listened intently. Vibrant aqua eyes looked Liam over, taking in every detail he could. When his sister finished speaking, he stood and held his hand out to Liam. "Akito Takahashi, it's a pleasure to meet someone who's so dear to my sister." He ignored the little brow twitch from his sister, putting on a smooth, formal air as he introduced himself. "While not biologically siblings, Sakura and I were raised together and is my sister in all of the ways that count." She might look different, might not remember everything, but it was still his sister at the end of the day. And his sister was his priority.

"I suppose I owe you a great deal of thanks, to be honest. She was...not in a good way before she left. So to see this much life back in her? I owe you and your husband a lot of gratitude." There had been days, back then, that he thought he would lose her in an entirely different way, that there simply would be a world without her in it at all, and it had scared him deeply. So for someone to have saved her, in any way at all, Akito could not even begin to put it into words how much it meant to him.

Five projects? That sounded like a lot to Liam, though maybe that was because fashion design wasn't his thing, at most Liam could stitch patches to clothing and mend the basic things. Listening to her, following behind her, he shook his head as he found himself laughing. That sounded like something he might do, he was loyal like that, he knew if Aloysius ever planned to change sides he'd follow after him...or at his side - hand in hand. There was no way that would ever happen though, and he knew it, he was comfortable right where he was in life.

"At least he's loyal, that's a good quality."

And as she mentioned him being family he held out a tupperware for her. "I brought food for you." Because when didn't he bring food for her? He often enough wandered over, often via mirrors, and dropped food in the fridge for her with little post it notes so she knew what was in the containers.

Once Sakura had taken the food Liam took the offered hand to shake. "It's nice to meet a family member of hers. I'm glad she has family, and someone so loyal." Because she could use it, especially after what she'd gone through not that long ago, he was certain her brother would help her in whatever way she needed it.

"I'll let my husband know that." Smiling at the other. "You have a place to live? Or will you be staying with your sister? She has a nice place in the city, aside from here."

Akito grinned at Liam, deciding already that he rather liked the man. "I've got my apartment here in the city. And I'm pretty sure Sakura would actually commit murder if I tried to move in with her." He gave his sister a cheeky smile at that, enjoying the glare he got out of her for it. "And for what it's worth, I'm really glad she's had you as well. When she told me what she was planning, I was scared for her. Genuinely scared that she would be worse off than she already was. But seeing her now.... I'm glad you were there for her. She talks incredibly highly of you and your husband, and that's good enough for me." Because if Sakura has been left on her own back then, he was certain that she wouldn't still be here anymore.

Mischief lit up his eyes and he leaned in to stage whisper to Liam. "If you ever wanna see childhood photos or hear embarrassing stories, let me know.

Sakura groaned at the idea of Akito sharing a living space with her, shaking her head at the thought. "He's also officially not our problem. Fafnir brought him in, from what he told me. I've never met him, but I think he's part of Faustite's group yeah?"

As Akito thanked Liam, her expression softened. "I.....honestly wouldn't be still standing if it wasn't for you and Aloysius, Liam. You both have done so much for me, and I'm not sure I can ever properly express my gratitude for that." She would gladly both kill or die for either man should the need arise. Aloysius had her unwavering loyalty, and she would spend the rest of her days proving as much.

And then Akito ruined the mood for her. Groaning, Sakura rubbed her face. "That's playing dirty. It's not my fault I can't remember any embarrassing stories to use against you in return, Akito." She grumbled and pouted, a slightly more childish side of her revealing itself.

"And if she did commit murder than I or my husband would hide the body." Or they'd find someone else to, with a frightening amount of ease, but the other didn't need to know just how easy such a thing would be for either of them..or anyone else they knew. "It can be a scary thing, it's a dramatic change in a persons life, and if the wrong person does it...well they have no safety net - nothing to get them on their feet again." She was lucky that his spouse was good about such things, made sure his team was well taken care of and safe. He thought and planned in accordance to what was needed to help his team best, because they mattered more then just bodies in a uniform.

"I'm not sure, Aloysius keeps me as far removed from thigns as he can." Not that it was far enough for the others liking, he wouldn't allow him that, but it meant he didn't know the make up of the various teams or who ran different teams. he knew his spouses team and he knew of Benitoite's, for obvious reasons, but whoever Fafnir was he didn't know.

"Trust me, you won't ever need to kill or die for us. We wouldn't want you to die for us...and I'm certain both of us can kill if need be." If he had to he could, and would, and he knew his spouse would as well...even if it wasn't his thing really. They'd do what was needed, they'd foudn that out over time, because they knew that this was infact a war and sometimes things you didn't want to do needed to be done.

"I think my spouse might like to see the pictures, I could see him enjoying them very much. If you ever want to bring them over I can give your our address." And let Aloysius know, of course, so he wouldn't be upset or panicked when a random stranger turned up at their door.

"Akito, you might not be on my spouses team but if you ever need help we are avalible. You're Sakura's brother and that counts for something with us. If you're out and need assistance you can call for Aloysius, or Dessire, and someone will answer." Who that might be...well...that depended on various things. He might even get a surprise and find a small blond general appearing, as he knew the blond now considered his spouse family due to Melody being with their elder cousin.
